Chapter 807: Chapter 802 Who is more awesome (Part 3)_1
“Not exactly. Human genetics are mysterious; even though the Galactic Federation can now find someone from tens of thousands of years ago whose genetic code matches yours exactly, the secrets within human genes are still not fully understood. At least in my scan, your body seems to be extremely strong. With the growth in psychic power like this, an ordinary person would have already shown symptoms, such as severe brain pain, dizziness, vertigo, and frequent hallucinations,”
“But you are just like a normal person, which means that your genes can completely control this situation,” Luna Starfield quickly added.
Finn Lewis was immediately filled with doubt. He knew how he had acquired this psychic power—it had come when Finn Lewis brought back a worker bee from the Insect Species of the Icarus world; Zero had altered his genes, making the worker bee recognize him as the Supreme Ruler.
Now it seemed that the genetic alteration was the cause; otherwise, it couldn’t be explained. However, with Luna Starfield providing this explanation, Finn Lewis felt much relieved. At least he wouldn’t have any problems himself, though he still needed to deal with the other issues Luna Starfield mentioned.
Imagine, as Luna Starfield said, if while speaking to someone, their head just exploded suddenly—that would be horrifying beyond words. Of course, the most important thing was that this constituted wanton killing. Finn Lewis wasn’t a butcher. If it were an enemy, he would actually wish for such power, but if it were his friends or family, wouldn’t that be tragic? @@novelbin@@
“Do I have any methods to train this psychic power?” Finn Lewis asked immediately.
“I don’t know why your psychic power has increased, but there are indeed methods for training it, as many Gene Warriors also possess such abilities. Also, Your Highness, after training, try not to use this ability. Most of the protective equipment commonly used by citizens of the Federation can detect psychic energy. Even some ordinary nobles have protective devices that can shield against psychic power,” Luna Starfield informed Finn Lewis of another unexpected detail.
These details, however, were not important to Finn Lewis. After all, his intentions weren’t to use them for such purposes. Whether he could use the power or not didn’t matter; what mattered most was avoiding trouble for himself.
Finn Lewis immediately had Luna Starfield find some psychic power training methods. Strangely enough, these training methods had a certain earth mystical feel to them, starting off with something like emptying out one’s five senses and using the brain to sense things around one.
Then, Finn Lewis directly called Violet Davis to have her bring over a device to detect psychic power. Violet Davis wasn’t surprised by Finn Lewis purchasing such a device; although most people don’t have very strong psychic abilities, there are quite a few in the Galactic Federation who pursue this area.
This device was mostly fruitless for the majority, but for some talented and exceptional individuals, it was possible to cultivate some skill. Moreover, with consistent training, there would be results. Even if one could not produce a strong psychic force, as long as they continued training, their spirit and energy would become more resilient, less prone to influence from others, and develop a considerable resistance to other people’s psychic powers. Many direct heirs of families underwent such training.
Of course, persistence depended on the individual. Whether or not one persisted was up to them. However, even if it didn’t work out, there were plenty of protective and shielding devices developed by the Federation. Finn Lewis only learned after a little research that this matter was not a mystery at all; the training methods provided were quite meticulous.
Primarily consisting of ordinary training methods, the initial steps resembled those found in fantasy novels, like using the brain to sense everything around it. For ordinary people, this might be hard, but for Finn Lewis, it was not difficult at all. He had already been able to do all of this.
Finn Lewis had already been able to sense things around him spontaneously, although these sensations appeared slowly and he had not paid much attention to them. Now, by following the instructions, Finn Lewis found that even with his eyes closed, he could clearly sense everything around him, just like a radar.
Having confirmed he had reached this stage, Finn Lewis looked toward the next step. The first stage was about sensing; the next was about focusing his psychic power, which meant trying to use it to control small objects. This could be done with concentrated effort.
Finn Lewis succeeded after just one attempt. He experimented with a small piece of paper and found that he could make it move according to his intentions with just a bit of focused attention.
When Finn Lewis accomplished this, Luna Starfield was full of praise, “I never thought that Your Highness would reach such a level in just one day. The rest is simple. You just need to keep controlling more objects and practicing until you can handle them with ease. When you reach your limit, you’ll be able to control the psychic power at will.”
To be honest, when Finn Lewis saw that he could control the paper, even he found it hard to believe. But this kind of thing was intangible and invisible. Although the device could detect it, for Finn Lewis, it wasn’t like what was described in some fantasy novels where one could feel the power.
He truly couldn’t feel it. What Finn Lewis could feel was his desire to move the paper, and then it moved. It was an enigmatic and profound sensation. As for it being a tangible force, Finn Lewis could not feel it at all.
However, remembering what Luna Starfield said, Finn Lewis suddenly thought of something, “Luna Starfield, are you suggesting that for the next step in this training method, I must keep using this ability to control objects and then manipulate them?”
“Yes, Your Highness,” Luna Starfield responded straightforwardly.
Finn Lewis couldn’t help but feel a mix of amusement and frustration. If it was just that, then what was the point in training with something like paper? Keep in mind that Finn Lewis’s psychic power could directly connect to every Insect Species unit. He just needed to focus his attention.
Once connected, that Insect Species unit would come under Finn Lewis’s control, Keller included, not to mention the ordinary units.
“I understand. I have a way to train.” Now that he knew this, what was the point of playing with the paper? Finn Lewis decisively returned to his room and then simply closed his eyes.
What do you think?
