The Absolute beast Tamer

Chapter 96 POCKET DIMENSION (8)

No. 80: "More than 12 hours passed. Are we going to wait any longer?"

No. 9: "I would like to wait more to play it safe, but only a few hours left before the deadline."

Alan: "It is okay. 12 hours is enough time for the poison to kick in."

No. 80: "Then let's go."

The three of them approach the territory of the bear beast slowly and as carefully as possible. Enjoy new stories from My Virtual Library Empire

No. 9: "There's no sign of the target yet. That means it went back to its lair."

No. 80: "Is it me, or is this silence creepy?"

Alan: "It is the territory of a 9th stage beast, so of course there will be no other presence in it."

The further they walked in, the quieter the place became; within the gorge, they found a huge area that was curved into the rock, making a semi-open cave.

No. 9: "This is it. Do you feel them 33?"

Alan: "Yes, their aura severely weakened, but I can feel both of them are still alive and inside."

No80: "they're still alive!!"

No. 9: "So we have to engage in battle after all."

Alan: "No, I don't think so. The aura around them is decaying with every passing moment. I don't think they're in the condition to fight."

No. 80: "Phew, you scared the hell out of me."

No. 9: "Do we wait for them to die on their own or do we take action?"

Alan: "Let's check on them first. The resistance to the poison is probably stronger than I thought; they may last for another 12 hours. We have the deadline, so we will do what's necessary."

As the three of them continued walking towards their target, they entered the huge cave structure that looked very much artificial, probably made by the bear beast himself.

Inside, the three of them found two massive creatures lying down on the ground completely motionless; other than the labored breathing, one would even think that they are dead already.

As they came closer, suddenly the male bear opened its eyes. The brown eyes held a myriad of emotions; Alan saw helplessness, despair, anger, sadness, self-reproach, and even agony, and behind all of that, a rage that was hard to conceal.

No. 80: "Lucky us, they can't fight. Now we will get to finish two ninth-stage beasts, completing the mission and more."

No. 9: "The results are excellent."

"Gurgh…"

As if he was mustering everything he had, The bear beast released a threatening grunt as the last way of defiance against those invaders who will probably kill him and his mate as he understood what they talked about.

Alan: "NO, WE WILL STICK TO THE MISSION."

Both number nine and number 80 did not expect such a response from Alan after all; a 9th stage creature is probably full of treasures with every part serving a purpose. To let go of the chance to finish one is foolish, yet for some reason they could not bring themselves to say anything as the atmosphere surrounding their junior, who was always respectful and calm, suddenly shifted into a darker one.

Alan approached the male bear as he crouched down, meeting the bear with an eye for an eye.

Alan: "We have received the mission to kill you and only you. I know that you are holding back yourself, and you can probably unleash an attack or two that you have been keeping and waiting for the right moment to kill us all or maybe die with us.

I will tell you that whatever you're hiding won't make a difference, as we can leave this area in a split second and wait for the poison to kill you.

And just like I told you before, we are here to kill you, but only you, your mate, and your unborn cub don't have to go down with you."

Alan took out another vial containing liquid.

Alan: "This is the antidote. I can give it to your mate, she and your unborn cub will be fine, but you have to die, so if you promise me not to resist, I will give her the antidote now."

Conflict within the brown bear's eyes was evident, as he did not know if he could believe this insect in front of him.

"Ghaaa"

The sound coming out of the bear beast indicated that he agreed to Alan's proposition.

Alan: "Okay then."

Alan stood up as he went towards the female, who was clearly motionless with nothing moving but the bulging stomach.

Alan: "I know you are awake, and you have heard what I told your mate. He had made his choice to die alone to leave you with a chance to live together with your unborn cub.

So don't do anything stupid.

Suddenly the female eyes opened as she released a screeching sound.

"achhhaaaaaaa"

But her screaming sound was cut short and interrupted by another sound that was disparate coming from the male beast.

"Grughhhhh"

The three of them watched the female suddenly become calmer as her eyes followed the male beast.

Alan: "Drink this and you will be fine."

The female bear did not resist as she slowly drank that greenish liquid from Alan's hands.

As soon as the bottle became empty, Alan went back to the male, placing his hand on its huge body.

From behind The low voice of the female bear vibrated through the hollowed cave as if she was saying her last farewell to the male, who only answered once.

The male and Alan vanished, appearing some distance away from the cave, not far away but far enough from the female bear's eyes.

Number 80 and number 9 followed Alan outside, leaving the female alone with colorless liquid swimming in her eyes, covering the sadness that she was feeling.

As soon as both seniors saw Alan standing next to the male bear outside, number 80 could not stay silent anymore.

No. 80: "I will do it."

Alan: "No, I will finish what I started."

Seeing Alan refusing his help, he could only stand to watch together with number nine.

Alan: "Close your eyes."

As Alan ordered, the bear did not resist at all.

As he took one last look at the cave before slowly closing his eyes.

Alan took out the twin daggers as he stood in silence right above the bear's head. He concentrated all of his Ena through his arms as he delivered the final verdict in one swift motion.

Cutting through a 9th stage beast hide is by no means an easy task, especially if the 9th stage beast fortified its body with Ena.

But the male bear made good on his words as he completely relaxed, allowing Alan to cut its head in one swift motion.

As the blood sprayed everywhere, covering Alan, who stood still there next to the head, bathing in blood as if it was the most natural place for him.

The two seniors who were watching were shocked on the inside by the paradox their junior was.

A moment holding an act of compassion and another holding an act of terror, with two faces and two hearts, who was their true Junior as they felt a chill spreading all over their body.

It was not as if they had not seen blood before, but something about the usually kind Junior bathed in the blood with an oppressive atmosphere radiating from him shocked them.

Alan: "Let's store the body and get back before the deadline."

No. 80: "Aha, yes, you're right, yeah, let's just get going."

Number 9 stayed silent as she did not know what to say.

The three of them, together with the proof of mission success, went back.

...…

Instructor Eugene: "Fuck…they…really…did…it…only…two…teams .....managed…to…reach…the…target and…one…of…them…finished the…mission.

The.... purpose... of..... this... mission is... to..... teach..... them..... that ...when facing .....the..... impossible, .....it's..... okay to ....retreat..... and.... live.... for ....tomorrow to..... fight..... another..... day."

On the inside, the man who talked as slow as a snail was truly shocked to find that after 1 week, exactly one of the teams managed to finish the mission.

Not only did they finish it, but the way they did was so creative. That's even when he was left speechless.

Watching the three of them make their way to the designated meeting point, he could not help but smile as he observed them, especially the newcomer who was the driving force behind the mission's success.

As the three of them were walking, a sudden slow and sleepy voice crept out of nowhere right behind them.

Instructor Eugene: "Good.... Job."

No. 80: "F***, you're like a ghost."

Even Alan did not manage to register the presence of the instructor before he talked.

His and number 9 responses were the same as they got ready for a fight, only number 80 acted like a clown comedian.

No. 9: "Thank you, instructor."

Alan: "It is our privilege to be praised by the instructor."

Instructor Eugene: "You..... were... the only... team... who ....succeeded..... in the... mission; you.... can..... go..... back through ....the.... portal."

As soon as he finished speaking, the instructor vanished into thin air, leaving the three of them slightly stunned.

No80: "The instructor's so creepy. Do you two think if we talked as slow as he did, how long would it take for us to finish a conversation?

I suddenly feel sad for him."

Both Alan and number 9 look tired as they gave number 80 One last look before they continued making their way towards the portal.

No80: "Hey, wait for me. My question was valid. Wait."
