The Extra’s Survival: Logging into the Game Master System!

"You all would be wondering why you were brought here. Well there is a simple answer to that. It's to see if you are worthy of nurturing or not," an old man spoke as he looked at the 7 of us 'survivors'.

"You see, when a ghoul attacks you, he leaves his seeds in the air around him. There are generally two things that happens when that happens. One is that you get infected and soon turn into a ghoul, and the other is that you win against the infection, evolving your body beyond your capabilities."

He simply looked at all of us as he continued,

"Some people gain a bit of an up in their strength, speed or mental ability. Others gain special abilities such as powers to control others, or even super hearing and supervision. Three of the most powerful abilities that were gained were," he raised the three fingers as he spoke with a smirk,

"The ability to sense everything at least a kilometer around them, the ability to use their own blood to fight and finally the ability to predict a portion of the future."

The others who were afraid before, were now flabbergasted to hear such things were possible. Some even had their eyes glistening as they listened to the old man.

"We will be now assessing your abilities so please follow the two girls into the testing area. Also, even if you fail to show any abilities, we will still provide you with a place to live with us since your abilities could be something that cannot be completely assessed by normal means," he added, making others nod.

"But… I have a wife… I can meet her right?" One of the men asked, while the old man nodded as he answered," that can be arranged."

And with that done, we walked into the testing area. It was a simple white area with a lot of testing materials of all forms and kinds.

One by one all the people there began testing their strength, agility and other stuff. Some of them ran at least twice the speed of a normal person, while one showed super strength, lifting 50 kg with one hand with ease.

As for the girl, because I helped her a bit again, she was able to show super speed, running as fast as an athlete and super strength, lifting 25 kg with one hand with a bit of an effort. And other than me, everyone had pretty much gone through all the tests.

"Aren't you going to do the tests?" Victoria asked.

"Well. I wasn't exposed much so I doubt you are going to find anything with me," I spoke as I moved towards the test and adjusted my strength to pick up a 10 kg one. Then I made an 'O' expression as I lifted it up with ease.

It tried again with 20, 50, 100 and finally stopped at 125. This surprised the old man as he smiled before speaking,

"At least there is one."

I then showed increased agility as well, but stopped there.

At first, I was going to super everything, but looking how surprised they were with me showing two 'super', I decided to tone it down to base in other areas. Seems like having one ability is good, and two is already rare. Anymore will be an overkill.

"An A-Rank, huh? That's a rare find," the old man was now extremely pleased as he looked at me as if I were a gem or something.

'Well. Hopefully this will help me get closer to the higher ups allowing me to gain the information about exactly how things are going on in this world. Both from the human's side as well as the ghoul's side,' I pondered about it before moving back towards the blonde girl, Victoria.

"Was that impressive?" I asked with a bit of a doubt and she nodded still surprised as she answered," very."

"Victoria. Since you were the one who found him, I will leave it to you to guide him through everything. He has a high potential and could help us gain an edge against those blood bastards," the old man spoke as he patted my shoulders before Victoria politely bowed to him.

Then she held my hands as she spoke," let's go."

I nodded before turning to the girl who seemed to be a bit lost all by herself. And then calling her close to me, I waited for her to reach me.

"Brother," she spoke in a low voice before I smiled and then carried her in my arms as I spoke to Victoria," let's go."

Victoria paused as she hesitated before she looked at the old man. The old man pondered for a bit before allowing it as he didn't find anything wrong with this. And only then when he allowed, Vitoria sighed before taking us towards the lift area of this floor.

Reaching into the lift, we waited for the gates to close. And as soon as it did,

"So, what grade are you both?" I asked with slight curiosity.

"B-Grade with a high strength," Victoria answered first.

"B-Grade with a high dexterity," Char, who tagged along with us for some reason, also answered while she corrected her files.

"To the other A-Grades."

"Are there people above A-Grades?" I asked again and she nodded as she answered,

"S-Grade. There are only 12 of them. And SS-Grade were the ones that gramps was talking about."

'Since A-Grade here is barely C-Grade on my server, the SS-Grade should be about A-Grade, huh? Well. Weak,' I thought as I saw the lift stopping at 12th Floor as a blue haired man wearing a night dress walked into the floor.

He had baggy eyes and felt like he could simply fall any moment now.

"Good Evening Mr. Sebastian," Victoria greeted, while Char simply bowed politely without saying anything.

That guy, Sebastian, looked at me without any interest before he turned around and stood there. An awkward silence covered the area as the elevator reached the top floor.

The door opened up before all of us slowly walked into a huge hall where there were 7 strange people doing their own things.

Victoria then walked me towards the edge of the hall near a desk area where a man was writing something on the files on the table. His eyes landed on Victoria before he turned to me and spoke,

"Another A-Grade?"

Victoria nodded before that man added again,

"Good. We were lacking someone to finish an odd job this time."
