Chapter 160 [Matter of Interest!]
Things progressed at a rapid speed this time as well. In a way it was faster than last time, to be honest.
I got involved with a woman who took me to the ghouls. And then after getting assessed as an A-Grade, I met a rare half ghoul that nobody ever sees. All that in the same night.
'Why does it feel like I am being directed towards these events? It was too coincidental but they seemed so… planned?' I felt like something was wrong with this whole thing but still can't pinpoint it by any means.
Well. I guess I will look into it as well. Though, for now let's deal with the situation in front of me.
"Please young one… let us die. Let that kid go. We cannot continue to suffer and have our child suffer anymore," the man spoke as he looked at me with hope.

The mother's eyes were begging as she added," please. Please. Please. Let our child live. WE beg you. She did nothing wrong. Why is being born is a sin for her? Why? Just why?"
She cried and begged as I looked at that girl still glaring at me.
"Because it is a taboo," a man entered from the main gate. He was the same sleepy guy who walked into the lift before. His eyes were now concentrated at that half girl ghoul as he spoke,
"Clause 7 Article 14. All beings born out of human and ghoul mating are labelled as an abomination. They are to be wiped on site with no trace remaining."
He then looked deep into the eyes of that girl and spoke," kill yourself."
"As you command," Elliot then moved her hands to choke her own neck. Though before she could kill herself, I spoke again,
"Come on now. Let's not do that."
This time I used a bit of spirit energy into my words, breaking her from that mind magic. And then with the same casual smile I continued speaking,
"Didn't I say so? We can solve this without anyone dying here."
Soon more people appeared into the hall as I stood there observing everyone. Most of them were those A-Grades that were present on the top floor. And even the boss guy who was busy with the paperwork behind the shelf, was now present here.
"Clause 7 Article 15. Anyone who tries to protect the abomination is also labelled as traitor. And he too needs to be killed on site," he reminded everyone, before they all prepared to fight.
-Whoosh!
And as one them reached the girl, she simply glared at him before kicking him away as she declared,
"You better prepare to lose a few lives if you are going to kill me."
"Didn't I say no killing just now?" I mumbled as I looked at her before observing the sleepy guy observing me with a deep concentrated look on his face.
"You should pay attention to your surroundings," a woman appeared behind me, and with a katana in her hand, she pushed it towards me with all her might.
Still…
I held the tip of the katana with my two fingers without turning back.
"Well, you gotta do better than that," I said as a matter of factly before breaking that sword with ease. These guys were stronger than normal people, at least much stronger than those in my previous world.
But still… to me, they were weak. Too weak.
Meanwhile the half-ghoul girl was handling 5 of the A-Grades right now. She was barely surviving as she tried her best to get them, but their coordination was good enough to keep her unbalanced.
Through the map, I saw more and more people moving towards this direction. There were cars and bikes. And even a few helicopters. It won't be long before this whole place will be surrounded by these ghoul hunters.
"So much for my break," I sighed as I then walked towards the half girl, one step at a time, as I planned what to do for the next few seconds.
And then in the end, deciding the best plan, I spoke in a cold chilling voice filled with the energy of ice spirit,
"ENOUGH!"
A chilling wave spread all around pausing each and everyone all around me.
Moving towards the girl I looked at her with a deep look before I turned towards the parents. And then pausing for a brief moment, I asked,
"Why are you guys so hell bent to kill a child?"
It seemed to be too fanatic but… they don't seem like that kind. Even with the ghouls they weren't that concerned as much as they are with this.
And this probably wasn't the first half ghoul either.
Though as I was thinking, a strange silence now covered the entire area. All the noise of fighting and stuff vanished as people just stood there without making any moves, without speaking any words.
'Huh? What happened?'
"Because she is the seed for the devil. The only being that can give birth to a Vampire," and the answer came neither from the humans nor from the ghoul. But an entire different being this time.
And turning around, I saw a tall man standing near the altar as he observed the entire scene.
"An Elder Vampire! Run!" The boss guy shouted but nobody moved, they were already charmed. Their feets were stuck in the place they were before as they simply stood there without any expression on their faces.
"Too many people don't you think?" The elder vampire asked the half ghoul before speaking," all the filthy humans. Kill yourself."
Everyone was about to move to kill themselves but once again before anyone could do anything,
"Come on now. Didn't I already say so? No killing," I spoke with a spirit speech again, breaking that mental magic with ease.
A smile appeared on my face as I looked at the flabbergasted faces of everyone, while the Vampire guy looked at me with a serious look.
I guess, it's not that boring anymore.
What do you think?
