Chapter 476: Chapter 22 Everyone Goes First, I’ll Cover the Rear (4.5k)_3
“Senior brother, how did you know there was something wrong with these trees?”
“Don’t you think there are too many bones littering this forest? Even if Magic Beasts were to have a feast, it shouldn’t be this concentrated, right?”
Luo En replied in a deep voice, his gaze then sweeping over piles of ashes that had burned down to nothing, his eyes flickering darkly.
“Besides, these things here, I think I’ve seen them before…”
The black vines in Arima Cave, growing around the head of Typhon!
“Roar!”
As if responding to his conjecture, a growl that sounded like muffled thunder came from afar.
“Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!”
Explosive impacts resounded one after another, with violent tremors affecting the surroundings.
And beneath this incessant booming, rocks from far-off Mount Arcadia started to fall, the mountain itself beginning to sway.
Meanwhile, thousands of various Magic Beasts dwelling nearby, agitated and uneasy, lay prostrate on the ground, trembling as they gazed in a certain direction.
“Seven kilometers to the front left!”
Atalanta leaped down from the branches above and reported the basic direction.
“It seems that’s the origin, we’ll go ahead, make them catch up quickly!”
Luo En spoke in a heavy tone, instructing Atalanta to leave a message behind, then without waiting for the main force to catch up, he quickly led his own small team toward their destination.
Following the tremors of the ground to trace the source, the five of them quickly reached the inner part of the Arcadia mountain range.
From a distance, a huge crevasse appeared in the side of the mountain, with a red-black light flickering eerily.
“It should be here!”
The Twins brothers showed excitement on their faces, immediately wanting to rush forward to eradicate the calamity of Arcadia.
However, an arm stretched out horizontally in front of the two, as Luo En glanced at the crevasse not far away, then looked at the brothers with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile.
“See, too hasty.”

Two quarters later, hundreds of Subjugators arrived in front of the mountain belly.
Hippomenes surveyed the surroundings and asked in a grave tone.
“Where are the people?”
“There are footprints over there, seems like they lead to that crevasse,” replied a hero who was scouting ahead.
“Well, don’t just stand there, follow them! What if something happened to them?”
Hippomenes rebuked coldly, his face somewhat unsightly as if he truly worried about the safety of his companions.
The crowd immediately advanced in formation, heading towards the ominous crevasse.
At the same time, on a mountain top hundreds of meters away, the Twins watched the Subjugators’ team approaching the crevasse, their faces showing hesitation.
“Should we really let them take the lead?”
“How can we hog all the benefits? The brothers in the rear troops have been conserving their strength for so long, it’s their turn to go ahead this time,” Luo En answered righteously, then took a sip from the flask of fine wine not yet finished, lay on a slab of rock, and squinted towards the team stepping into the heart of the Beast Disaster.
~~
In front of the mountain crevasse, the heroes stood in shock.
Looking ahead, it was like gazing into the Abyss.
The crevasse that spanned the side of the mountain was awash with crimson.
Complex passageways interconnected like distorted blood vessels that seemed to have sprouted from deep within the earth.
Below the dense red-black light patterns, on either side of the valley, were rugged stone walls with countless red-black strange veins densely inserted into the soil layer, the mountain belly, the Abyss, extending to unknown places.
These things were like the roots of a banyan tree, a forest of one.
Following the veins to their source, concentrating perception to the extreme, one could discern through the red-black blood light the vaguely visible purple-red heart wrapped in countless blood vessels, nodules, and stones, existing between the ethereal and the material.
With the ebb and flow of the light patterns, that heart expanded and contracted, a vast Magic Power tide spreading in all directions through the dense network of vessels.
The thick bloodstains and special fluids around them dried up, forming purple-red mottling, resembling nodule-like purple-red ovular embryos scattered on both sides. Monstrous creatures slumbered within.
What is this thing?@@novelbin@@
Everyone was astounded.
