Chapter 539: Chapter 50 The Essence of Backstabbing

Upon seeing Luo En and his company arrive, Hercules’ rugged face broke into a smile. He quickly got up and waved, inviting the influential member of the Dionysian Sect to sit next to him and drink merrily together.

Luo En smiled and nodded, accepting the invitation to sit next to Hercules. Helen, Medea, Hippolyta, and Cainis followed suit.

The twins and Telamon naturally took their seats opposite them, joining the three representatives from the Sea God Temple.

With everyone officially in place, King Admetos clapped his hands, summoning the maids to present a sumptuous feast and prized wines, to entertain the allies from afar.

Hippolyta and her Amazon warriors, loyal to the Goddess of the Hunt Artemis, were exactly the army-level combat group Thessaly desperately needed;

Lastly, the three princes and the princess from Sparta, protegees of Apollo, were dependable and skilled. Moreover, it seemed the dispute over the faith of light between Apollo and the God of Craftsmanship Hephaestus was about to be settled. His friend who was now free had already conveyed a divine decree to Sparta to send reinforcements to Thessaly. Soon, a formidable Spartan force of a thousand would head to Thessaly, led by the two princes to collectively face the Cottus Clan’s invasion.

It could be said that these five parties represented the most influential and powerful allies, almost determining the direction of the war.

Triton stood up and raised his glass, being the first to express his stance.

Hearing the Mermaid Prince readily agree, Admetos nodded in satisfaction, his only remaining concern dissolving, and his smile becoming even more cordial and genuine.

“Rest assured, Your Majesty, Medea and I will not disappoint you,” Luo En replied, placing his hand on his chest and nodding.

With a firm response, Admetos breathed a sigh of relief.

Although the Sea God Temple had brought Thessaly’s most scarce and precious materials, for safety’s sake, he still did not dare to entrust the task of designing the city defenses to Triton and his associates.

On the other hand, the two allies from Athens, who had experience in building and defending cities in Arcadia and had less entwined interests with Thessaly, appeared much more reliable.

After all, two of the chief gods on War God Mountain, one was the former mother of mankind, the other the current shepherd of mankind.

They had neither reason nor incentive to stab him in the back.
