Chapter 37 39:Slaughtered
"Holy smoke!" Saber gaped, looking at the figure encroaching the sky endlessly.
Towering above him was an abomination from the depths of the abyss.
It was a huge, monstrous, worm-like beast with countless eyes glistening all over its grotesque, long body. Its skin was filled with twisted scales, oily black, and every inch seemed alive with a sinister gleam as it reflected the surroundings.
The creature lifted its enormous head, closing in on Saber and Lukas with its hungry, unblinking gaze.
Saber turned around and grabbed Lukas. Amassing all his effort, he pulled him on his back and ran. A cold, numbing sensation spread across him as he carried Lukas, but Saber bit his teeth to resist the pain.
"I don't think it has locked onto us. After all, we are just small ants in front of it."
Saber's heart relaxed a bit as he concluded, but as he looked back, he spotted its eye turning towards them.
"What the f**k?"
The huge monster opened its colossal maw. A huge storm was set off, followed by a blinding flash.
"FUCKKKKKKKK!" Saber didn't know how many times he had cursed, but he found himself to be incredibly unlucky and even started to regret his decisions.
"I came to save him, but now I can be buried with him… Ahhh!"
Then…
Without warning, a deafening explosion tore through the air, and a massive chunk of flesh that was like a small hill was blasted off the beast's back as if it had been hit by a colossal bullet.
The creature's enormous body wobbled, letting out a thunderous, ground-shaking growl.
Boulders and debris, smeared with thick, dark blood, rained down in waves, crashing like avalanches and filling the air with the stench of decay. It was like watching a volcano erupt, with blood spilling down the beast's sides in torrents.
As the beast recoiled, something strange and dark stirred in the sky. The clouds above twisted and darkened, drenched in a scarlet hue, and the blood-red mist began to converge, swirling and coalescing into the shape of a woman. She appeared to have a seductive, haunting figure with a voice that dripped with amusement.
"My, my… what a vile beast," she purred. "It needs to be cleansed."
With a casual, elegant movement, she raised her hand, and a crimson aura pulsed around her, shaping itself into the form of a bow.
Slowly, a shimmering, blood-red arrow materialized, aimed straight at the towering monster.
A very dense amount of crimson aura coagulated onto the arrow, which started flickering with crimson bolts of lightning that shot all around.
Her hair rose, defying gravity, and the space around her began to distort and tear apart as she pulled the bow.
Her lips curved into a dark, teasing smile. "I feel you're quite hungry, beast."
"Then why don't you have a taste of this?"
With those words, she released the arrow, and it shot forward with a flash of blinding, lethal light that colored the world in bright red light.
BOOOOOOOM!
The impact was cataclysmic.
The entire place seemed to shudder, and the ground split beneath their feet, ripples of destruction tearing through the land. The air itself seemed to crackle, the winds stopped, and everything around them went silent. For a moment, even time felt suspended, as though the world itself was holding its breath, fearing what would come next.
The howling sound of thunder blasts erupted one after another, and the place where the arrow struck the monster exploded into tatters, spewing out pieces of flesh and mash.
A blinding crimson light flashed, followed by a destructive shockwave that shook the entire place.
"AHHHHH!" Saber screamed due to the blinding power. Being near the center of the strike, he thought that this was the end.
'FUCKKK! I AM gonna die… This is death.'
'I will die for sure.'
It was like a situation where you are stuck between a chasm rift behind and a well in front of which you need to pick one place to jump into.
Sadly, both lead to one ending.
Absolute death.
For a moment, he regretted it and even wondered if he should have run away, but then shook his head. At least he tried to protect someone.
"What a handsome figure?"
Saber snapped out of his thoughts and noticed a crimson barrier surrounding them that protected them from the aftermath. Then he noticed a woman standing beside him.
"WOOOOOOAAAA!"
He shrieked in shock and jumped in fright but paused upon seeing the woman.
The woman had a mature, alluring presence, with crimson hair cascading around her shoulders and a deep red dress that clung to her figure. Two sharp, red horns jutted from her forehead, adding a touch of danger to her seductive allure.
"Who are you?"
He asked, but ignoring him, she looked at Lukas writhing in pain.
"What a heavenly face, quite a good body. He looks lean and has a thin body. Also, that cold, bewitching face with those dead eyes… Those slave-trading idiots surely didn't lie."
"They got a heavenly catch for that bitch for real," she said, licking her lips seductively and raising her hand to touch Lukas, but Saber shook her hand away.
"What the hell is wrong with you? You are going to molest a kid who is lying out of nowhere here?"
"Have some shame, you demon Old lady..."
"Old Lady!" Her eyes widened with shock when she heard that.
"Yes, you Grandma… Now fuck off… He deserves someone bett—"
BOOOM!
Even before he could finish his sentence, she kicked him away with a disgruntled expression.
Saber's body flung away like a rag doll and slammed onto the debris. His face was plastered over the wall for a few moments, after which his body slowly dragged down from the wall, leaving behind a bloody trail.
"You deserve that. You are lucky that it's me; otherwise, if you said that to others, your body might be slithered into a thousand pieces and fed to pigs."
Then she turned her head towards the other boy and spoke while observing him with a curious gaze, "He had been tainted by the death energy of the abyss but still survived."
"His meridians had been injected with something that he couldn't handle, causing him pain."
Making an observation, she raised her hand.
Snap!
She snapped her fingers, lighting up a blood crimson flame.
"Boy, hold on. This may hurt, but if you survive…"
Saying this, she lit up Lukas's body.
What followed was the agonized scream of a boy getting burned alive.
What do you think?
