Assassination Attempt
A few years had gone by since the death of Ryker's sister, and most had forgotten about the execution.
Ryker was now a grown man of 22 years, with a small stubble growing from his chin, and having long black hair, with some gray strands in between, falling to his sides.
His piercing red eyes carried a sharp intent within, and his gait was strong and steady as he walked through the temple.
His father had died a few years ago of his illness, and his mother had followed not long after due to depression.
The temple of their god, Luwazi, had many members who resided in it, making sure the temple was always in order and duties were carried out diligently. These were the same people who had sacrificed his sister, and they were the same people who took him in after witnessing his tragic fate.
Surprisingly, though, Ryker had willingly joined them. No coercion was needed.
