Chapter 233
Cricket player Jacob was experiencing, in the most visceral way possible, what it truly meant for one's mind to freeze.
When someone is forced to witness something so utterly beyond comprehension, that’s what happens.
The world had already ended, and Jacob had seen plenty of insane shit since then.
But nothing—not a single event—had been as fucking shocking as discovering that Cherry Sinclair possessed monstrous strength.
Among the five of them, Jacob was the weakest.
The others were larger, stronger, and had been considered rising stars on the team.
Jacob had always been a benchwarmer.
And yet, two of those ‘rising stars’ were now pinned beneath a gas lamp that Cherry had bent like it was made of paper.
They struggled, groaning, trying to push the twisted metal off themselves—
Only for Ethan, who had been standing behind Cherry, to casually step onto the gas lamp’s frame.
With a single motion, he pressed them back into the ground.
CRUNCH.
Meanwhile, Cherry advanced toward them, battle axe in hand.
Her vivid pink hair swayed with the wind, the blue cape draped over her shoulders fluttering dramatically.
A woman who looked as small and delicate as sugar stars—but whose power was utterly inhuman.
“Y-you…! If you had this kind of strength, then why the hell did you pretend to be weak before?!”
One of Jacob’s teammates stammered, stepping backward alongside him.
Cherry swung the axe downward.
CRACK—
The ground split open.
Even with their own eyes, they couldn’t believe it.
How the fuck did a human being have that kind of strength?!@@novelbin@@
Jacob didn’t even have the presence of mind to realize that it was just dirt. Of course it would split under a heavy impact.
But logic didn’t exist in his mind anymore.
“She’s a monster. She’s infected! No way a bitch like that could have that kind of strength!”
“Yeah! She’s a fucking mutant! We need to kill that thing right now!”
Jacob’s two remaining teammates found newfound courage.
Their fear twisted into aggression.
But Jacob?
What do you think?
