Chapter 250
It wasn't just me who was angry at Prince Lloyd for shooting at Amy. Jose's fury was just as immense.
He had completely ruined one of Lloyd's arms. But, that wasn’t enough for him. He didn’t kill Lloyd right away; he kept him alive, bringing him along instead.
Of course, looking at the wound, even if he were to stay alive, it wouldn’t be for long.@@novelbin@@
If it hadn't been for Jose, I would’ve taken care of Lloyd myself, but the bastard was lucky.
Since I found him, Jose had remained silent, his face constantly tense.
"Are you okay?"
I only asked out of concern, but in Jose's clear blue eyes, tears were gathering. His lips twisted, and he clenched his teeth, lowering his head.
The rain was falling steadily, making it hard to distinguish anything clearly, but he was definitely crying.
“Amy’s hurt. I promised to protect her, but I couldn’t. It’s because of me that Amy got hurt.”
Jose’s self-reproachful face was soaked with tears.
It was the first time I had seen Jose cry. Despite his appearance, he had always been stronger than anyone I knew, with a mental toughness like no other.
I gently pulled Jose into an embrace.
"It’s okay. It’ll be okay."
But despite my words of comfort, Harrison delivered the sad news.
“We’ll need to perform surgery.”
Harrison was pressing on Amy’s wound to stop the bleeding as he spoke, his voice filled with concern.
Amy’s face turned pale, her eyes fluttering weakly, her breathing slow.
Jose, who had tossed Lloyd aside, now gently touched Amy’s cheek.
“Amy, don’t close your eyes.”
What do you think?
