Chapter 249
According to Harrison and Sir Orlando, Amy and Jose headed toward the western gate.
The same direction that Prince Lloyd fled to, the direction where Ethan and I had entered, the direction toward Reed River.
The path toward the western gate was mostly quiet, with only a few monsters remaining. It felt like riding on a well-maintained road.
‘I wonder where Ezra is.’
I knew where Amy and Jose were, but I still had no clue about Ezra's whereabouts.
Eventually, we arrived at the western gate of the palace. The collapsed walls came into view.
Beyond them, a wave of monsters was continuously reproducing and growing larger, a grotesque and terrifying sight.@@novelbin@@
The wave seemed to attract nearby monsters, pulling them in and continuing to breed, a horrific scene to witness.
“Wait, Sir Orlando, isn’t that Commander Nikolai over there?”
A soldier pointed in the direction, and everyone turned their gaze. There, two men were operating a car.
“It really is Sir Nikolai. Seems like he was with the old man from the lab.”
Ethan whistled and muttered from beside me.
“Old man from the lab? You mean... Ezra?”
I understood what he meant and glanced at Ethan with a somewhat stunned expression. Ethan casually shrugged and replied.
“The old man who’s lived for three hundred years, from the Westmore lab. Isn't that right?”
I knew Ethan and Ezra didn’t get along, but I still couldn’t believe that man was a cop.
What do you think?
