Chapter 259
After a long and arduous journey, Happy House was finally within reach.
We were finally home.
Susanna had drawn up the original map and continued updating it over time, adding new paths whenever necessary. Now, the latest version of the underground passage map was in Amy’s hands.
"We’re almost there. Just three or four more hours to go."
Amy, leading the group, announced. At her words, everyone struggled to contain their excitement.
But while I, too, was eager to return, I couldn’t shake the growing sense of unease.
Had I known we’d be away from Happy House for this long, I never would have taken all of our combat-ready forces with me.
At least Jose, Amy, and Vanilla had stayed behind to watch over it. But now, even those two were here with us.
Please, let there be no problems.
Ezra, who had been lost in thought ever since the funeral, suddenly seemed to recall something and lifted his head.
"By the way, where exactly is Happy House? I don’t remember any mansion like that in Brunel. Brunel’s my hometown, you know."
That’s right. I had nearly forgotten that the original owner of Happy House was the Rudbelt family.
It was a bit of an awkward question to answer.
But I was the rightful owner—I had purchased the mansion with my own money.
So I answered with confidence.
"Happy House is the BN1 estate."
"BN1? What’s that?"
Ezra frowned in confusion. Only then did I remember—Graydon’s address system had changed over the past three centuries.@@novelbin@@
