The Path to Becoming The Worst Villainess

System

Ahko was not prepared to see the panel in front of her begin to dissipate into tiny glowing particles in the air, but the particles didn't go to any random places like they normally would. Not even the high wind from outside the cave can make the particles move as if they're sentient. The particles then make a shape that looks like a human girl, not as tall as Ahko but big enough not to be called a little girl. Then it glows bright white, blinding Ahko and Martha who were outside of the cave.

After the light subsidies, it reveals a girl. She stood quietly, her expression looked neutral, but there was some kind of irritating look behind it. There was no sense of urgency in her posture, no tapping fingers or shifting weight, just stillness. Her face was shaped with gentle, smooth lines. Not sharp, not rounded, somewhere in between. Her jawline was soft, tapering naturally into a small chin. Her skin had a soft texture, not glossy or shiny more like the kind of skin that stays clear without any effort. It's also had a light tone color that matches her silver-white hair. They fell gently around her cheeks, softening the edges of her face without looking styled or intentional. They just happened to fall that way, and she didn't seem bothered by them. Her long hair reached past her waist. It was straight at the top, then fell into gentle waves near the bottom. It looked soft and well cared for, like she brushed it regularly but didn't style it too much. A few more strands hung loose at the sides of her face, framing it in a way that looked unintentional but nice. On her head were two small pink hairpins. On top of her, there's a floating halo. Ahko doesn't know what kind of element the halo is, but it sure didn't look like any basic elements or even unique ones. It felt like the halo was out of this world.

Her eyes were a light reddish-pink. They had a gentle, distant look to them, not sharp or intense. Just gently colored, with a hint of glassiness when the light caught them. The shape of her eyes added to her quiet look, a bit wider at the inner corners, then tapering slightly downward toward the outer edges. They had a natural droop to them, not sad, but subdued. Half-lidded most of the time, they gave the impression that she was tired and needed a rest. She keeps staring at Ahko with a neutral look on her face as Ahko keeps looking at her appearance. Ahko can feel some kind of frustrated feeling inside the girl. Her eyelashes were fine and straight, but long enough to cast a faint shadow under her lower lids. They weren’t thick, but they framed her eyes naturally. Her lower lashes were lighter and shorter, almost blending into her skin. They helped soften the shape of her eyes even more. Her eyebrows were narrow, pale, and lightly arched, not groomed into a strong shape but brushed enough to keep neat. They matched her silvery white hair with a soft, cool tone. Their shape followed the natural line of her brow bone without any dramatic rise or tilt. They sat fairly low, keeping her expression flat and steady, even when her eyes moved. When she blinked or looked aside, they didn’t twitch or shift. Just stayed still, like the rest of her.

Her nose was small and even, with a slight slope from the bridge down to the tip. There was nothing particularly eye-catching about it. From the side, the bridge curved very slightly, not sharply, not widely. Just a soft, natural shape that worked with the rest of her features. Her lips were pale pink, almost the same tone as her skin, just enough color to stand out gently. They were thin, especially the top lip, which dipped into a small curve at the center. Her bottom lip was a bit fuller, giving her mouth a balanced look. When closed, they rested loosely, no tight press. There wasn’t any trace of a frown on her lips. Just the kind of mouth that stayed quiet most of the time, not used to being the first to speak. Her chin was small and slightly rounded, fitting neatly into the lower curve of her face. There was no dimple, no strong jawline—just a soft shape that matched the rest of her features. Her ears were mostly hidden by her hair, but what little showed revealed they were small, with no earrings or accessories.

She wears some kind of school uniform that goes all the way to her wrists and waist. The way she wore it made it clear she followed the rules, or at least didn’t see a reason to bend them. The blazer was solid black with a simple, structured cut. It wasn’t baggy, but it also wasn’t tight. It fit her just right, neat around the shoulders, smooth down the arms, and clean along the sides. The sleeves ended exactly at her wrists. The buttons were fastened all the way up, with no signs of wear or loose threads. The fabric had a light, not shiny, not stiff, just the kind of material that stays neat if you take care of it.

Underneath, she wore a white dress shirt. Ahko can see the shirt appearing at the end of the blazer. The collar sat flat under the blazer, sharp and unwrinkled. Around her neck, tied carefully at the collar, was a pale pink bow. It was a soft shade, not bright, not washed out, and it was tied properly, with both ends symmetrical. It matched the ribbon in her hair, giving a quiet sense of balance to her whole look. The shirt’s top button was done, and the fabric was smooth, with no folds or bulges under the blazer. Her lower half matched the rest of the uniform’s neatness. She wore black dress pants, the same fabric and tone as the blazer. They had a clean crease down the center of each leg, which ran straight and unbroken from her waist down to the ankle. The pants weren’t tight—they had a soft, straight fit that followed her form without clinging to it. They sat high enough at the waist to meet the shirt tucked in beneath the blazer. There were no loose hems, frayed edges, or sagging pockets, just a tidy fit that didn’t draw attention.

At the ankles, the pants ended just above her shoes, showing a small bit of pale skin. She wore black socks, and Ahko could only catch a glimpse of them when she moved slightly. Her shoes were plain black loafers. They had a soft shine, like they were wiped down regularly but not polished to a mirror finish. Each had a small silver buckle on top—not decorative, just functional-looking. The soles were quiet when she walked, and there were no scratches or scuffs, even along the toes or heels. The shoes weren’t brand new, but they were clearly well cared for. Ahko then looks back up and sees the almost closed eyes on the girl.

"Hi..." Ahko started the conversation.

"Greetings user... Congratulations for evolving the system to Evolution [1]"

"So, after I evolve you once, you gain a physical body? Fascinating.."

"Incorrect, this body that user sees right now can only be seen by user, nobody else can see it with the exception of the slaves when the system evolves to Evolution [3]"

"Wait, so when I'm talking to you, the people around me gonna see me like a crazy woman?"

"The system can make itself visible to anybody, but it'll take Mp from user."

"How much?"

"1 Mp per second."

"Can you like get hurt if you turn visible?"

"Not at all, I'm like a hallucination that anyone can see or not, if one were to attack me, the weapon they are using will go pass me."

"I see.. So what do I get besides evolving you?"

"Once again, congrats, user, for evolving the system. Here's what's new about the system:

- Able to upgrade abilities, spells, and passive abilities. Remember, skills can't be upgraded.

- Able to locate slaves.

- Able to put a track on someone, but it'll cost a quarter of user's Mp every day.

- Slaves are now able to gain exp from missions or monsters that they killed.

- Shared exp with slaves. Depending on what user wants, the percentage of the share can be 10% goes to the slaves and 90% goes to user.

- Able to map foggy areas like The Ghost Forest.

- Monsters will be visible if user goes to map mode.

- Able to colonize a dungeon, but couldn't keep the dungeon inside the system's world.

- The system now has a world in it that user can go in and out of whenever user wants.

- More items in the shop.

- More explanation in the Help Tab.

- More details in the stats, besides the numbers on user's stats, user will also see the rank based on how strong the stats are.

That's everything new."

"Wow... That's a lot to see..."

"Of course, since it's user first time to evolve the system, the system gives a lot more features."

"I see... Well then, locate the slaves."

"Certainly."

The girl's hand turned into colorful particles like before, and they floated in front of Ahko. After a minute, the particles had formed a panel that showed a map and 2 glowing gray dots. Ahko can see on the top left of the map, displaying the area the 2 slaves are in, the Trica Forest. Without any more wasting time, she sprinted to the location but tripped and fell to the ground as she tried to take the first step.

"W-What the hell?" She rubbed her forehead.

"User has tripped and face planted into the ground, Hp has been reduced by 3."

"What is going on?" She asked while getting up, she can feel that her strength and agility have been reduced greatly when she gets up.

"Why am I feeling... so weak...?" She looked at her partially bloody hands from her forehead.

"..."

"System..?" She looks towards the girl, and the girl gives a little frustrated look, but Ahko can see a little smirk forming on the tip of the girl's lips.

"What. The. Fuck. Did. You. Do?" She put her hands on the girl's shoulder and looked her dead in the eyes.

"... It's the consequences of user's action." The girl stares back at Ahko as if the [Terror Stare] ability didn't work on her.

"What does that supposed to mean?" She questioned.

"There's a reason why the system gives 1 month of time before user can fully be evolved into a succubus.." The girl sighed and gave another irritated look before closing her eyes.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"User's body couldn't handle that much power in an instant."

"So? What would happen then?"

"Well, user's body will explode."

"Why's that? Isn't too much power benefit me more?"

"Not only user's power increase, but user also takes so much mana that user's body couldn't handle it."

"Mana? Isn't that just for magics?"

"Let the system explain what mana is."

"Fine. Make it quick. I need their bodies, I don't want them to decompose."

"In short, mana is the source of power and the life source of every living being in Tirna. If the being's mana is depleted, they will die. In order to grow stronger, especially for a demon like user, user need to kill beings. Said beings, when they die, will be expelling mana into the air depending on what species they is, if it's for example humans or beastkin, they will decompose and expelled mana slowly unlike monsters and demons that quickly turns into ash and expelled mana at a rapid pace, which then user absorb some of."

"That's how I get stronger all these times? I killed a monster, and my body absorbs mana?"

"Partially correct, while user absorb some of the expelled mana, the system also gathers most of the expelled mana and then makes them absorb by user. The exp is a substitute for mana in the stats tab. If the system didn't exist, then user's mana absorption would become 10x less efficient."

"You never told me why I lost my powers, I absorb like 5000 monsters' mana in less than 12 hours, and my body couldn't handle such things like evolving to a fucking succubus out of all demons. They are probably the weakest demon out of the 6 demon paths, and my body can't handle THAT?"

"Every being has a limit on how much mana they can handle before they explode, and there's no exception for user. User's body was already falling apart when taking 4 blessings from the 4 sinner gods. Adding up the massacre that user did in the past 48 hours, it's a miracle that user's body is still intact after all that."

"... What?"

"Just after a being evolved, their body can't absorb as much mana as before they evolved. But that doesn't mean they get weaker. It just means their bodies need to adapt to the new changes. When they decided to grow stronger again, the bodies would store more mana than before."

"So in short, when they evolved, their bodies will be weaker for a little bit, then get even more stronger than before.."

"The system worked tirelessly to keep user's body intact. It's very fortunate since the system can increases user's mana capacity with ease, unlike all of beings that need to evolve so that their mana capacity increases. But unfortunately, bad luck comes and user's 2 slaves have died, which drives user to massacre 5000 monsters."

"..."

"And since user is an impatient type, user decided to buy the 'evolving into a lesser succubus' instantaneously. The system has to mark the price very high, yet user still bought it."

"... It's for them..." She sighed.

".. The system knows what's in user's mind." The girl uttered while making the "Seriously?" face.

"You can fucking read my thoughts!?"

"The system has been implanted into the user's brain ever since day 1."

"That fucking demon.."

"But the system saved user, right?"

"I guess..."

"Let me continue, since user's body couldn't handle it anymore, the system doesn't have any choice but to seal most of user's powers and expel as much mana as possible."

"Huh... Let me see my stats."

"Understood."

"... WOW... You really mean EVERYTHING.."

"Correct."

"... You getting evolved also included in my power getting sealed?"

"Not at all. In fact, there's no reason the system needs a body."

"Huh? Then why did you create a body?"

"The system has a separate mana storage compared to user, and since the system absorbs way more mana, the systemis  also overloaded. So in order not to get user's brain to explode, the system creates this body to sustain most of it."

"... So you can't transfer all that mana to me?"

"User's body couldn't handle it at the moment. Whenever someone entered an overload of mana, if they were quick to react and expelled some of that mana, their body weakened by a lot. It's why many beings mostly avoid getting an overload of mana."

"Ahh... So I'm right now is the same as me a when I'm still a cum dumpster..."

"Not to be worried, user's power will be unsealed as long as user grows stronger in a consistent way."

"... Can I name you Yue?"

"The system will comply with every command or request that user wants as long as it's safe."

"Call yourself Yue, and call me Ahko. I don't want to hear any more of that "The system" or "User" shit."

"Understood, Ahko."

"Alright, Yue. Looks like we have a little adventure to do before getting there."

They both go outside of the cave and seeing the dark clouds hovering on them as multiple thunders hits the ground near them. Outside the cave, Martha is silently waiting for her mistress to come and will do what her mistress wants. They both made eye contact and that is enough to make her run towards her mistress and bow deeply in front of her.

"Congratulations, Mistress! I assumed mistress has evolved into a higher being, seeing the dark clouds and many lightning on top of us."

"I did... You still control those man-eater monsters, right?"

"Of course, mistress."

"Bring all of them to me."

"Your wish is my command."
