The SSS Ranked Villain's Return

Chapter 261: Paying The Government A Little Visit

"Seriously..." Neraxis sighed. "Amaterasu, you have an addiction."

Amaterasu quickly shook her head. "No, I don't. I can stop whenever I want to."

"You say that, but you haven't even put the controller down." Neraxis pointed out, causing Amaterasu to fling the controller straight at Seraphina.

"W-What controller?"

"This controller, you fucking tarp!" Seraphina yelled, tossing the controller back at Amaterasu and hitting her square on the forehead.

"Anyways..." Sophia sat up from the bed and walked up to Neraxis. "On a side note, you have some explaining to do."

"Hmm... not really," Neraxis said with a shrug. "The black-haired one is Amaterasu, she's a Sun God. As for the white-haired one, she's Seraphina, the Spirit King of Frost."

"Right..." Sophia nodded. "And I'm the fairy godmother, tell me something believable."

Evangeline sighed and showed Sophia her fangs. "I'm a vampire progenitor."

Then she gently grabbed Neraxis's cheeks and revealed his fangs as well.

"He's a vampire progenitor too."

"...?" Sophia tilted her head. "Did I give birth to a pair of vampires? Elara! Get your ass up here!"

"No... that's not exactly—"

"Yes, Mom?" Elara asked, arriving within seconds.

Sophia didn't hesitate and immediately inspected Elara's teeth, but upon not finding anything strange, she turned back to Neraxis.

"Mom, you didn't let me finish," he said with a facepalm. "I became a vampire progenitor due to some circumstances. Elara's just an ordinary girl."

"I'm not ordinary!" Elara shot back.

Noticing the situation was getting a little too chaotic, Evangeline stepped in.

"Everyone, let's just calm down, okay? What Neraxis said about their identities was the truth, and the same applies to us as well. We're both vampire progenitors. He's pretty new at this, and I'm nearly ancient, so I'm guiding him."

"Right... I should probably start writing a blog," Sophia held a hand up to her forehead. "Ever since you came back, there's been surprise after surprise. And even the fact that you're going to be trying for a baby... I don't know anymore. Elara, let's go."

"Okay?" Elara agreed, puzzled. And soon, the two left the room, closing the door on their way out.

"Well... that was something," Neraxis remarked, turning to the two troublemakers. "You can stay with me, but I'd need to buy a few extra beds."

"Why? Can't we just share yours?" Seraphina said teasingly.

"Nope~" Evangeline interjected. "He's off-limits until he puts a baby in me."

A moment of awkward silence ensued, followed by Amaterasu's stunned voice. "Wow... look at this..."

She held out her phone, which she got from God knows where, showing some kind of news article.

It displayed his name, address, and every other bit of information imaginable.

'Bounty: Neraxis Valen – 5,000,000,000 Crowns. Bring back alive.'

"Seriously... these pieces of shit are just trying to get on my nerves," Neraxis grumbled.

"Yep... well, that's human nature for you, I guess. Greed is a good motivating factor," Seraphina remarked. "So what now?"

"Same as usual." Neraxis shrugged, narrowing his eyes. "I'll put up a barrier around the house and I'm going to go kill that prophet of theirs."

"Ohhh," a wide grin appeared on Evangeline's face. "Here I thought you were going to ignore her entirely."

"Nope, even if I try to take my family elsewhere, she's going to find me. Or some other trackers, but it's best to get someone like her out of the picture first," Neraxis stated.

"Want our help?" Amaterasu offered; however, he simply shook his head.

"Not in killing, though it would be nice if you could defend my home for the time being. Just make sure the barrier doesn't break, and after I'm back, we can get out of here," Neraxis replied, and extended his hand toward Evangeline.

She flinched. "You just want to see me naked, don't you?"

"I can't deny that," Neraxis said boldly. "But not right now, I think I figured out why your clothes poof in the first place."

"And that reason is...?" Evangeline wondered.

But instead of replying, Neraxis smirked and merely waved his hand toward Seraphina and Amaterasu before grabbing Evangeline by the waist and teleporting.

She was surprised, but upon reappearing, she was more shocked at the fact that her clothes remained intact.

"Wow... finally." Evangeline heaved a relieved breath. "Took you long enough, if I'm being honest."

"Mhm..." Neraxis replied with a nod and glanced ahead.

There was a towering row of skyscrapers, all of which looked menacing at a glance. Even more so as a row of armed officers stormed out of the buildings.

"Neraxis Valen, halt this instant!" one of the officers yelled, pointing a mana-infused weapon toward him.

So they've replicated Aella's technology, how vile, Neraxis thought with a frown.

This place brought back terrible memories. He hadn't been here a bunch of times, but every time was memorable for the sole reason of how terribly they treated the people here.

Obviously, the entire government wasn't rotten, but a few people turned into plenty, and eventually, no good officers remained.

And now, from what he was seeing, that same case had repeated itself.

"Want me to deal with them?" Evangeline asked, but he merely shook his head.

"Nah, I have a nice homecoming present," he replied with a smirk, and in the very next moment, thousands of Sun Threads appeared, each of them circling around an officer's neck.

And before they could even speak or retaliate, Neraxis tightened the threads, causing every single person to lose their heads.

By severing their carotid arteries, the blood spurted up like sprinklers, and using that, he prepared his present.

<7x Blood Constructs Summoned! Type: Combat—Giant Sun Grenade>

Seven skyscrapers next to each other. Therefore, he chucked the grenades at each one of them.

As expected, the skyscrapers didn't collapse—instead, he shattered the barrier the barrier that had been surrounding those skyscrapers.

And now, the only thing left was to find out which of these buildings housed the prophet.

After all, today he was going to do a little culling.
