CHAPTER 3 Plans and Projections
As Da West stepped into the vibrant streets of GreenLand City, the bustling atmosphere buzzed with life. He barely noticed the small group of Awakeners discussing their recent missions or the vendors selling trinkets and recent discoveries. Instead, his mind raced with possibilities, a whirlwind of blueprints scrawled within his newfound consciousness, fueled by the overwhelming power of the Mighty Multiverse GUNDAM System.
He had a vision—an image of a mecha that would stand as a guardian for those he cared about—but daunting realities clawed at him. In this world of talent and power, he lacked the necessary materials and the facilities to bring his dreams to life.
"Damnit," Da muttered under his breath, frustration boiling beneath the surface. "I finally have the blueprints, but I'm nowhere close to the resources I need."
Suddenly, his communicator buzzed, and he glanced down to see a familiar name flashing on the screen. It was Mia Bellstone, his childhood best friend, a dual Awakener of light and gravity. No matter how chaotic the universe became, Mia was a constant—a beacon of warmth in the cold grip of uncertainty.
"Hey, Da! Happy birthday!" she chirped, her enthusiasm spilling through the speaker. "I just heard about the fight with the Void Beast. You're okay, right?"
"Yes, I'm fine," he replied, a soft smile creeping on his face despite the tumult of thoughts racing in his mind. "Just a little shock from the whole experience."
"Shock? More like a complete disaster," she teased, her voice light but concerned. "Why don't you meet me at the Cafe Stellar? My treat. I want to hear everything!"
Da hesitated for a moment, then sighed. "Alright, I could use a break."

The scent of freshly brewed coffee and pastries wafted through the air as Da entered Cafe Stellar. It was a cozy place, adorned with artworks from local artists and a seating area that invited intimate conversations. And there she was, Mia Bellstone—an azure beauty, with her shimmering brown hair cascading elegantly over her shoulders and her vivid blue eyes reflecting the sky overhead.
"Over here!" Mia waved, her smile lighting up the entire room. As Da approached, a familiar warmth filled his heart; she was like the sun, always radiating positivity.
"Sorry, I know I'm late," he said, taking a seat across from her. "Things got a bit hectic after the whole Void Beast incident."
Mia leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "You've always been good at getting into trouble. I want to know everything that happened."
Da hesitated, the shadows of his childhood secrets whispering in his ears. "It was just chaotic. I got caught in the middle of it all, but thankfully the Awakener was there to protect me."
"Thank goodness for him, but you were so close to missing your Awakening!" she mused, glancing down at her drink. "If I had that much power, I'd be furious."
"Yeah, furious," Da echoed, taking a sip of his drink to quell the rising apprehension. "But I've been thinking... maybe the talent system isn't everything. There are ways to attain power that don't rely on awakening."
"You sound different, Da. What are you plotting?" Mia raised an eyebrow, perceptive as always.
"Nothing much," he deflected, feeling the need to keep secrets close to his chest. "Just trying to figure things out."
As they chatted, Da's mind drifted back to the GUNDAM System and its latest assessment—a blue print for a cyber house that would require a staggering 800,000 blue star credits. That figure felt insurmountable, especially considering his paltry balance of 50,000 credits, a sedentary inheritance from his parents. And while the mayor had promised a compensation of 30,000 credits for the destruction of his home, it barely scratched the surface. Where on Blue Star would he find the rare materials for an AI heartchip and a silver-level energy core?
"Don't be shy, Da," Mia said, breaking his thoughts. "No secret is safe from me! What do you need the credits for anyway? Are you building something?"
Da looked up, his heart pounding. Mia might have been his closest friend, but exposing her to the GUNDAM System felt like tearing down the very foundation of their friendship. "It's nothing worth mentioning," he lied, forcing a casual tone. "Just some ideas kicking around in my head."
Mia studied his expression, concern flickering in her gaze. "Come on, Da. You can tell me anything. I want to be part of your journey, no matter how winding it may be."
"Right. Well... what if I wanted to create a facility? A place where I could build machines and experiment with technology?" Da ventured carefully, testing the waters.
"Like a workshop?" Mia speculated, excitement creeping into her voice. "Oh, that would be amazing! You always had a knack for mechanics."
"Yeah... but it's going to take a lot more than just dreams," he admitted, knowing the staggering task he had in front of him. The truth weighed heavily on his heart. "You know how demanding the talent system can be. Not everyone gets to build advanced tech, especially at my level."
Mia leaned back, folding her arms thoughtfully. "Well, I might have a few ideas up my sleeve. The Bellstone family has some connections. We're one of the Seven Great Families here, after all. Maybe I can help you find the materials or resources you need."
Da felt hope ignite within him. "You would do that for me?"
Mia giggled, a lightness returning to her demeanor. "Of course! What are friends for? Just promise me you'll share whatever new creations you design. I wouldn't want to miss out on anything groundbreaking!"
Da couldn't help but smile back, even as worry gnawed at his insides. "Deal. Just, um, don't go making any extravagant promises to your family. I don't want to pull you into something that could get dangerous."
"Dangerous? Who are you talking to? I'm an Azure Bronze Awakener with a dual talent! I think I can handle myself," she said playfully, determination lacing her words.
That familiar spirit of resilience sparked in Da's chest. Perhaps with Mia's help, he might finally set his plans into motion. He would need her support, not only as they set out to gather what he needed but also as he navigated the inevitable trials that would come from being a non-awakened individual harboring transformative power within.
As they finished their drinks, and the sun began to set over the city, Da felt the weight of possibility curse through him once more. The Fabrics of fate had begun to weave a tapestry filled with challenges, triumphs, expectations, and friendships yet untold.
With Mia by his side, he was ready to tackle the tapestry of the new life he was crafting—one of invention, adventure, and the echoes of an unparalleled journey waiting to burst forth from the shadows of both his past and the impending future.
