Vol. 1 - Chapter 209 - Goodbye
Han LiTian glanced at the clock, his concern growing over Han ShuYi’s absence.
The reason? Han ShuYi's recent behavior had been far too peculiar.@@novelbin@@
Han LiTian was even worried about Han ShuYi’s mental state and had been considering arranging for a psychological counselor to assess him.
He stepped outside just in time to see the driver returning.
When he inquired, he learned that Han ShuYi had sent the driver back on his own because he had personal matters to attend to.
Though such occurrences weren't unheard of, it was the first time Han ShuYi had dismissed the driver like this.
Pondering this, Han LiTian silently took out his phone and opened a particular app.
Displayed on the screen was a detailed satellite map with several flashing red dots.
After the incident with Lee Tian, he had installed tracking systems on his family’s phones—a precaution he never expected to need.
Shaking his head, he moved the map until he located Han ShuYi’s position. However, what he saw immediately unsettled him.
The map showed Han ShuYi in an abandoned area.
He distinctly remembered hearing about a scandal with the developers of that location, causing the project to be halted indefinitely due to illegal activity.
Why would Han ShuYi be there?
Unable to comprehend it, Han LiTian decided to go check it out himself.
…
At this moment, Han ShuYi was no longer thinking rationally.
Faced with HuMing, all he wanted was to unleash his pent-up rage.
He hadn’t even stopped to consider how HuMing had survived that professional assassin.
Han ShuYi was confident in himself. After the incident with Han LiTian, he had finally learned some lethal moves from his coach.
He hadn’t had a chance to use them—until now. There couldn’t be a better opportunity than this!
In Han ShuYi’s mind, while HuMing might know some martial arts, he himself was no longer the same as before.
With a quick sidestep, Han ShuYi charged directly at HuMing, launching a rapid punch aimed to take him down.
But HuMing’s response was simpler—he stepped back and grabbed a stone from the ground, hurling it straight at Han ShuYi!
Han ShuYi had never expected HuMing to avoid a direct confrontation and instead resort to such underhanded tactics. This stirred a surge of anger within him.
How could the showdown between him and HuMing become so disgraceful?
Furious, he taunted HuMing.
"HuMing, is this all you’ve got? Using cheap tricks? Deep down, do you think you’re no match for me?"
Dodging while throwing verbal jabs, Han ShuYi spewed trash talk at HuMing.
HuMing, however, found his words baffling. Without pausing his movements, he only picked up speed.
To HuMing, Han ShuYi’s frantic dodging made him look like a clown, hopping up and down absurdly.
"Not really. I just find it more fun this way. From the start till now, you’ve done nothing but talk. Maybe you should try drowning me with your spit instead?"
Han ShuYi’s pupils constricted at the insult. Gritting his teeth, he deflected another stone and charged recklessly at HuMing.
He swung a powerful punch, the wind from his strike howling past HuMing.
This time, HuMing recognized it as a genuine killing move.
He leaned back swiftly, kicking out with his right leg.
Caught off guard, Han ShuYi was sent flying. He landed in a pile of jagged stones, his clothes and skin torn by the sharp edges.
The once-dignified and princely Han ShuYi now looked utterly ridiculous before HuMing.
Clutching his chest and gasping for breath, Han ShuYi could feel that HuMing’s kick had broken his ribs.
But this time, HuMing didn’t give him a chance to recover. Grabbing Han ShuYi by the collar, he hoisted him up, forcing their eyes to meet.
"Han ShuYi, all you ever do is talk. I’ve yet to see you back it up with anything real."
Han ShuYi glared at HuMing and suddenly swung his right hand toward HuMing’s head, a sharp stone clutched tightly in his grasp.
Thinking it was his best chance at a counterattack, Han ShuYi’s hopes were crushed when HuMing caught his wrist with an iron grip.
Han ShuYi couldn’t break free no matter how hard he tried. The gap between them was insurmountable.
"HuMing!!" Han ShuYi roared in desperation.
It was like a scene from Saint Seiya, with Han ShuYi trying to ignite his inner cosmos to overcome the obstacle before him.
He had dreamt countless times of breaking through his limitations and achieving greatness, but no one had ever believed in him.
And all of this humiliation came from the person standing before him—HuMing.
He hated him.
He was unwilling to accept this.
He wanted to change!
"Hey, what’s with all the shouting?!" HuMing’s sudden voice cut through Han ShuYi’s inner turmoil.
Before he could react, HuMing’s fist slammed into his face. Blood sprayed from Han ShuYi’s nose.
The cosmo within Han ShuYi was snuffed out in an instant.
Without hesitation, HuMing followed up with a punch to Han ShuYi’s stomach, causing him to vomit bile.
"Han ShuYi, you think too highly of yourself. This isn’t your story!"
Releasing Han ShuYi, HuMing watched him stagger, barely able to stand.
Flexing his fingers, the sound of cracking knuckles echoed as HuMing compressed his muscles.
"Honestly, watching you act like a clown for so long is getting boring."
Han ShuYi, fueled by sheer will, raised his fist one last time to strike.
But HuMing wouldn’t give him the chance.
"Goodbye. Time to move on to the next boss."
With that, HuMing delivered a final, devastating punch to Han ShuYi’s face. The impact sent Han ShuYi flying, blood and a tooth glinting in the air.
He landed motionless on the ground.
HuMing stood over him, not even breaking a sweat.
He admitted this last punch was personal.
But it didn’t matter—Han ShuYi was down, and that was that.
Shaking his hand, HuMing checked his wristwatch.
The time was nearing, and someone should be arriving soon.
Exhaling deeply, HuMing glanced once more at the unconscious Han ShuYi. Then, from behind him, he pulled out a handgun and placed it in Han ShuYi’s hand.
Of course, it wasn’t loaded.
