Transmigrated as the fake young master, I'll beat up the scumbags and b*tches

Vol. 1 - Chapter 210 - Truth

Thirty minutes earlier, in HuMing’s home.@@novelbin@@

Sui Zhao struggled, bound and unable to move.

He couldn’t figure out why HuMing hadn’t dealt with him yet. After a moment’s thought, he concluded that HuMing probably lacked the means to do so.

That meant he still had a chance to escape!

Driven by this hope, Sui Zhao wriggled, trying to loosen the ropes. However, before he could make any progress, he heard the sound of the door opening.

His body stiffened, and his mind blanked for a moment.

But when he saw who entered, his confusion deepened. The person wasn’t HuMing.

The newcomer wore a black jacket and had hair obscuring one eye, giving off a vaguely edgy, counter-culture vibe.

Sui Zhao swallowed nervously. He was about to speak when the man approached and, to his surprise, untied the ropes binding him.

Relief flooded through him.

It turned out they were on the same side. Apparently, his employer hadn’t expected him to handle this alone after all.

Though part of him felt irked, he was mostly grateful.

After freeing him, the man remained silent—or rather, he seemed incapable of speaking. He reached into his pocket, pulled out a note, and showed it to Sui Zhao.

[Find HuMing and kill him. I’ll be watching from behind.]

Sui Zhao blinked, startled, but before he could react, the man handed him a gun.

They were dead serious about taking HuMing out.

For some reason, this silent man gave Sui Zhao an eerie feeling.

Without protesting, Sui Zhao accepted the gun and headed out. His original firearm had already been confiscated by HuMing.

Meanwhile, the man scanned the room briefly before starting his search.

He needed to find that thing!

HuMing checked his watch, brushing the dust off as he rose from the rubble.

The sound of a car pulling up outside caught him off guard.

There was no way Sui Zhao, the assassin, would casually drive here in a car.

Turning toward the direction of the noise, HuMing waited—and soon, someone appeared who surprised him even more.

Han LiTian never expected to see HuMing again under such circumstances.

He opened his mouth in shock.

But his expression shifted to urgency when he saw Han ShuYi lying unconscious on the ground.

He hurried over, kneeling to support Han ShuYi while calling out his name.

Before Han ShuYi could respond, Han LiTian noticed the gun in his hand.

His mind blanked.

Nothing made sense anymore—why were HuMing and Han ShuYi both here? Why was Han ShuYi bruised and battered, and why did he have a gun?

Instinctively, Han LiTian turned to HuMing, who was watching him in return.

But the look in HuMing’s eyes was completely different from what Han LiTian remembered.

HuMing frowned, his expression grim.

Placing Han ShuYi on the ground, Han LiTian stood and approached HuMing, asking, “HuMing, what’s going on here?”

“…Dad, Han ShuYi tried to kill me.”

That brief sentence was packed with meaning.

Han LiTian froze, his mind reeling.

HuMing had called him “Dad”.

This confirmed what he’d long suspected—HuMing was his son, Han HuMing!

But why had all the previous tests come back false? Why had HuMing denied their relationship after returning?

All of this left Han LiTian feeling deeply puzzled.

Although he had a strong capacity for acceptance, things had reached such a point that he needed a concrete fact to come to terms with it.

At this thought, a glimmer of clarity appeared in Han LiTian's eyes.

“ShuYi tried to kill you?”

He glanced back at the gun in Han ShuYi’s hand. At a glance, HuMing’s claim seemed plausible.

But there was always the possibility that HuMing had placed the gun there himself.

Then again, what reason would HuMing have to do such a thing?

Could it be jealousy of Han ShuYi?

No, if HuMing had truly wanted to exploit the Han family, he could have claimed his identity upon his return, using their guilt to gain more.

The logic didn’t add up.

At this moment, Han LiTian's mind was racing, but this time, HuMing chose not to hide the truth.

He looked at Han LiTian, gazing at the familiar face, and said.

“Because Han ShuYi is working for someone else.”

“Han ShuYi is working for someone else?”

Hearing HuMing's words, Han LiTian instantly understood some things.

However, he still found it hard to believe, after all, it was his own biological son!

His brows furrowed, and he fell into deep conflict.

But HuMing continued.

"Han ShuYi was able to come back because of the influence of that person. Otherwise, after being in the countryside all these years, how would he suddenly appear in front of you, with the test results in hand?"

HuMing's words triggered Han LiTian's memories.

At first, he was just as confused by Han ShuYi's sudden appearance, so much so that he personally ordered a paternity test.

The result confirmed that Han ShuYi was indeed his son!

This left him stunned, but at the same time, he found it strange—why had Han ShuYi appeared so suddenly?

The return of Han ShuYi to the Han family had caused quite a stir. Han LiTian had intended to investigate further, but when he thought about how the child had been away for so many years, his heart softened, and he stopped his pursuit.

Looking back now, it was clear that there were major doubts in this matter.

Han LiTian lifted his head and looked at HuMing, his expression indescribable.

"So, you planned all of this to uncover the person behind Han ShuYi? Is it because that person is related to you?"

"I suspect that the person behind Han ShuYi is the one who replaced my identity. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have repeatedly sent Han ShuYi to deal with me, and now, even attempt to kill me."

Han LiTian was hearing the very thing he least wanted to hear.

His biological son, willing to be someone else's tool to eliminate HuMing!

Why go this far? Why couldn’t he just get along with HuMing?

Han LiTian’s face turned pale, the truth weighing heavily on him, leaving him, as a father, feeling exhausted.

It seemed to tell him that everything he had done so far had been in vain.

HuMing looked at Han LiTian, his expression complex.

Despite everything, he couldn’t bring himself to hate Han LiTian. Even after learning HuMing wasn’t biologically his, Han LiTian had cared for him with genuine effort.

If not for Han ShuYi, HuMing would never have acted against the Han family.

Ultimately, it was Han ShuYi’s envy that had blinded him.

“Why does Han ShuYi have a gun?” Han LiTian asked, his tone heavy with concern.

“Because…” HuMing was about to explain, but his expression abruptly darkened.

In a flash, he tackled Han LiTian behind a stone wall.

Several silenced gunshots rang out, leaving bullet holes where they’d just stood.
