Then, as the ice began to melt under the lava heat, the water floor kept on expanding deeper and deeper until there was a complete water tunnel all the way from Alya's ice floor to the ocean below the island.

Then, as if calculated perfectly, when Ren dropped, the lava melted the ice layer below; however, it hadn't yet reached the water below.

Finally, as Ren dipped past the lava and entered the water, Ruby's lava met Lily's water, creating obsidian and blocking the upward exit.

Of course, this escape plan that the three girls had created only worked because Ruby had informed them of Ren's ability to breathe underwater for ungodly amounts of time.

The combination of lava particles and pieces of obsidian entering the water tunnel was what Ren unable to partly see in the tunnel; however, since he was still in mostly water, he was able to breathe and survive.

Back at the vault, Kevin unsheathed his sword and stared at the two before quietly muttering.

Behind him, a slightly louder mutter could be heard from Kazuki's mouth.

"My ass, you did."

However, as if expecting some sort of reaction, Kevin confusedly turned around to face Liam, who was standing still with his mouth shut.

Ignoring Kevin's gaze, Liam pointed his sword forward.

With an emotionless expression, Liam took one step forward and gazed at Raven and Zeng.

Then, without giving any orders or instructions to the main cast or the two recruiters, Liam broke into a sprint, easily passing by the three girls.

Unperturbed by Liam's incoming attack, Zeng readjusted his sword so that its face was looking at Liam and prepared to parry.

Activating his movement ability, Liam stepped into the air and slowly elevated himself until his feet were at the height of Zeng's head.

Then, plunging his sword downward, Liam prepared to use his new and improved skill, "World Plunge."

Having improved the skill from the last time he faced off with Ren, Liam sighed upon seeing the participant of his new attack.

Shaking his head while taking one last step into the air, Liam muttered in an eerily calm voice.

"What a waste."

Preparing for Liam's ariel assault, Zeng pointed his sword upward, allowing the dark-purple hue to spread from his body to his sword.

And that's when it became visible.

Zeng's bright-red horns grew to full size and became visible as he called upon all his power, not holding anything back.

Seeing the horns appear on Zeng's head, Liam smiled before also manifesting his own light-blue hue.

Then, as Liam dived into the air, with the tip of his sword pointing down, he surrounded his entire body with the divine hue.

It was a no-brainer who would win.

Divine energy was the ultimate weakness for djinns and devils because of its purifying properties.

It would quite literally cleanse the demonic energy in a djinn's body, and since a djinn's body requires demonic energy, divine energy was fatal for djinns.

Raven, despite not being a magical or fighter himself, even understood this and immediately yelled.

"DODGE!"

However, Zeng simply stood still.

Zeng's pupils began to swirl and turn dark purple as he opened his mouth and muttered to Raven.

"All I have to do is not get hit."

Instead of waiting for Liam to come to him, Zeng decided to be the hunter.

Strengthening the lower half of his body with his remaining demonic energy, Zeng leaped straight into the air.

Readjusting himself so that the tip of Liam's sword wasn't aimed at him, Zeng thrusted his sword upwards into the air.

But, at that very moment, Liam's figure suddenly disappeared from right above Zeng.

Suddenly, a whisper came from Zeng's right side, causing to immediately twist his body- mid-air...but nothing was there.

"Fodder."

Activating his ability, Liam disappeared from above Zeng and reappeared to his right.

With Zeng caught completely off guard, Liam didn't hesitate to plunge his divine-blue sword forward.

As the sword hit the side of Zeng's stomach, he was sent flying back into the corner of the vault.

Before landing and still mid-air, Zeng resisted the pain in his stomach and ripped one of the many scrolls in his pockets.

Instantly, a light green hue surrounded Zeng's entire body, and the light blue mark that had been left on his stomach by Liam's sword disappeared.

*BANG*

A couple of seconds later, Zeng's back crashed against the vault's walls; however, he regained his composure and immediately stood back up.

Rubbing his back and readjusting his grip on his sword, Zeng muttered.

"Gonna use your numbers advantage pussy?"

Behind Liam, the entire main cast, two recruiters, and the principal simply stood still, observing Liam's fight from afar.

Surprisingly, they hadn't made a single move to help Liam.

Then, before Liam could even respond, Raven realized it.

Why they weren't...or couldn't make any moves.

The seal...it was already weakened heavily by the all-out fight earlier.

And if another one were to occur...the seal would be completely destroyed, and the beast inside would be released.
