Transmigrating as an Extra Third-Rate Villain

Chapter 322Lure [5]

Partly on Raven's fault for not suspecting such a thing, the body was now protected by the principal, so using that to attack was out of the question.

However...glancing at Zeng, who was yet to say a word, Raven smiled.

"Cowards...to the very end."

Despite a single word not being said between the two, Raven knew exactly what Zeng had in mind, simply by his posture and expression.

That bastard wasn't planning on dying here.

Smiling, Raven recalled the recent film he had seen on television a couple of days before this entire mission.

The tragic story of Romeo and Juliet.

After believing that his lover had died, Romeo took his own life by consuming a vial of poison and resting his body right next to her.@@novelbin@@

Then, Juliet, who had faked her death to escape her overbearing family, sees the body of her dead lover, causing her to commit suicide herself.

While Raven had mostly zoned out and not paid attention while the movie was playing, that last scene was imprinted in his mind.

Dependence.

The two were so dependent on each other that if one of them were not alive, the other would rather end themselves than live without their partner.

While it would be poetic to say that Raven, Zeng, and Ren were like that, considering the situation with Ren's death, Raven knew it was false. Continue your journey with My Virtual Library Empire

If Raven had ever said something like that to Ren, he would have been laughed out and clowned for the rest of the day.

Raven had not known Ren for a long time, but he knew one thing.

He would want to be avenged.

While a hero's dying wish might be for world peace or the cease of all fighting, Ren would be the opposite.

He would want pure and utter chaos.

And Raven was the same.

That was why Raven didn't plan on dying or letting Zeng die.

Just because Ren was dead...doesn't mean that their collective dream was dead.

Without a second more wasted, Zeng stepped to the right, coming to the same conclusion as Raven.

However...even now, Raven didn't know what Zeng was planning.

All Raven knew was the outcome of Zeng's plan.

Ruby, simply watching the two, took a couple of steps forward and rejoined the main cast.

Those two weren't going to die as long as he was alive...so she had nothing to worry about in the first place.

Shifting her gaze away from the situation, Ruby detached herself from it and simply stared at the gap leading outside into the underground space.

Seeing everyone staring at the cage with the body in it, Zeng let a small smile creep onto his face.

Turning his right, Zeng stared at the shelve, which was just one part of the desperate barricade that they had created.

Stretching out his right hand, which was surrounded by a dark purple hue, Zeng simply brought his index finger and thumb together.

Then, in a swift and elegant motion, Zeng flicked the shelf in front of him, causing it to fall backward and create a hole in the barricade immediately.

*BANG*

As the shelf toppled over and hit the ground, sending a shockwave through the ground and catching everyone's attention, Zeng regrouped with Raven.

However, before anyone could react or move, the rest of the shelves began tipping over like a stack of dominos.

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

Within seconds, the barricade was nowhere to be seen, as all the shelves were sprawled on the floor.

Not skipping a beat, Zeng gestured for Raven to move...however, Raven stayed still.

Although he didn't have magical powers or amazing combat talent like the others in the room, he had...his items.

With a smile, Raven reached into his back pocket, revealing...over a hundred healing scrolls that had been stuffed in there.

"You know I really hated making these, so don't you dare waste them."

Gripping the scroll in his hands, Raven handed twenty-five of them to Zeng, like a parent giving their child their weekly allowance.

Quite literally, as long as they had the healing scrolls with them and activated them in time, they couldn't die.

By now, a few people, including the principal, Liam, Kazuki, Kevin, Lily, and Kaneki, had noticed the culprits of the shelf's collapse.

Staring at Raven and Zeng's sole figures, Seraphina immediately inquired.

"And, who might you two be?"

Reaching his hand downward, Zeng touched the collar of his academy security disguise before immediately pulling it downward and ripping it off.

As the tatters of the uniform fell to the ground, revealing Zeng's chest, which was mostly bandaged up due to training injuries, Raven sighed and shook his head.

"What a showoff."

If Raven did the same thing, he would be laughed out of the room because of his scrawny physique.

Grabbing the healing scrolls and placing them in his pocket, Zeng made eye contact with the principal before replying.

"Intruders."

If Ren was an intruder, then Raven and Zeng were also by association.

From behind the principal, the main cast immediately turned around and took out their weapons.

However, Ruby, Lily, and Alya were all somewhat confused as they stared at them.

Turning to Ruby, Lily hurriedly asked, wanting to avoid any further conflict and damage to the magical artifacts sealing the beast away.

"Didn't you tell them that Ren was alive!?"

Shaking her head, Ruby sighed and replied.

"Yeah, you'd think they'd believe me when I was one of the people 'attacking' him a few moments ago?"

Taking a deep breath, Lily shifted her glance away from the boys and stared at the lava pool that Ren had fallen into.

It had taken all three of them to create the "lava pool."

First, Ruby created the top layer, which was a thin layer of lava that could be seen from the outside.

Next, Alya used her ice magic to create a floor of ice, just strong enough that Ruby's lava above wouldn't melt it.
