Chapter 260: Business Empire

After wrapping up his rounds at Walls4Us, Noah moved through his empire with efficiency.

An’s Gourmet was thriving, Everything was handled smoothly. The hotel’s occupancy rates were hitting record highs.

Time to focus on the next play.

A quick call to Arthur set their meeting. The location: their future pharmaceutical venture’s site.

Another piece in Noah’s expanding chess game.

Noah spotted Arthur’s distinguished figure as he pulled up in his G-Wagon. The older man stood by the curb, his silver hair and tailored suit marking him as old money, old power.

But the sharp gleam in his eyes showed why he’d survived decades in the business world.

"Mr. Thompson," Arthur greeted with a firm handshake, his tone carrying that unique mix of respect and mentorship he’d perfected when dealing with Noah.

He’d long since learned not to underestimate the nineteen-year-old who moved tens of millions like chess pieces.

"Arthur," Noah returned the greeting, his youth contrasting sharply with the authority in his voice. "How’s Lily’s college applications going?"

Arthur’s weathered face broke into a genuine smile.

This was why he enjoyed working with Noah – the kid remembered details, and understood the importance of personal touches.

"She’s got her heart set on Cambridge. Speaking of which, thank you for that recommendation letter."

"Least I could do," Noah replied, turning to survey the empty lot before them. "Now, about our new venture..."

The age gap between them disappeared when business took centre stage. Just two players in the game, each bringing their own strengths to the table.

After checking out the site, Noah nodded, his eyes already calculating possibilities. "This is indeed a good place. You’ve chosen a good spot Arthur."

"Of course." Arthur’s response carried years of experience, but there was a hint of pride at the young mogul’s approval.

His eyes crinkled at the corners as he pulled out his tablet. "The demographic data shows we’ll capture both the downtown crowd and the suburban market. Plus..."

He swiped through several screens. "The city’s planning to develop this entire block within the next two years. We’ll be ahead of the curve."

Perfect timing, perfect location. Their pharmaceutical operation would have roots deep in the ground before the area boomed.

"Hospital’s ten minutes away," Noah observed, already seeing the future foot traffic. "And the morning sun won’t hit the entrance directly."

Arthur raised an eyebrow, impressed yet again by how Noah caught details most would miss. At nineteen, the kid thought of things that took him decades to learn.

"The permits?" Noah asked, straight to business.

"Already in motion. My contact at City Hall says we’ll have preliminary approval by next week." Arthur paused, then added with a slight smirk, "Especially after that generous ’community development’ donation you arranged."

Noah’s lips curved into a ghost of a smile. Money opened doors, but timing and finesse kept them open.

"Good. Start the construction this month. I want this running before winter hits."

After wrapping up with Arthur, Noah checked his phone – 6:45 PM. Mom and Dad would be exhausted from their shifts. Time for big brother duty.

The drive to Emily’s friend’s house was quick. He’d barely knocked for a few seconds, before Mr. Chen opened the door, greeting him with a warm smile.

"Ah, Noah! Right on time."

"NOAHHH!" Emily’s voice echoed from inside, followed by the thunder of small feet racing down the hallway.

She appeared behind Mr. Chen, her backpack clutched in one hand and a half-eaten cookie in the other.

"Ready to go?" Noah asked, fighting back a smile as she tried to put on her shoes while still holding both items.

"Wait, wait!" She hopped on one foot, struggling with her sneakers. "Did you see what I made today? Show him, Mr. Chen!"

Mr. Chen chuckled, reaching for a colourful paper creation on the side table. "Emily made this in art class."

"It’s a dragon!" Emily announced proudly, finally getting both shoes on. "Look, it breathes real fire!" She pointed to the red and orange tissue paper flames.

Noah took the artwork, examining it with exaggerated seriousness. "Premium work. Definitely fridge-worthy."

Emily beamed, bouncing on her toes. "Can we get ice cream on the way home?"

"Of course." Noah held out his hand, and Emily grabbed it immediately, her small fingers wrapping around his.

"Bye, Mr. Chen! Bye, Lisa!" Emily waved with her free hand as Noah led her to the car.

"Seatbelt," Noah reminded her as she climbed in, carefully placing her dragon artwork on the seat beside her. Your adventure continues at NovelBin.Côm

"Can I have chocolate AND vanilla?"

"Any flavour you want." Noah nodded with a smile.

Emily giggled, already planning her ice cream strategy. "You’re the best big brother ever."

"Hey Noah?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you help me make another dragon tomorrow? I want to make one that breathes blue fire!"

"Sure. One day i will make you ride one too."

Emily’s eyes went wide as saucers. "Really? A real dragon?"

"Mm-hmm." Noah kept his eyes on the road, but his lips curved into a small smile. "A big one. Blue scales. Golden eyes."

"Like in my books?" Emily bounced in her seat, the dragon artwork fluttering beside her.

"Better than the books."

Emily fell silent for a moment, her young mind working through something. "But... dragons aren’t real, right? Lisa says they’re not real."

Noah caught her eyes in the rearview mirror. "Who says? Maybe they’re just hiding."

"Hiding where?"

"In places only special people can find them."

Emily’s face scrunched up in thought. "Am I special?"

"The most special."

"Then..." Her eyes lit up with possibility. "Then I can find them!"

"One day," Noah promised, pulling into the ice cream shop’s parking lot. "But first..."

"Ice cream!" Emily was already unbuckling her seatbelt, previous thoughts of dragons temporarily forgotten in favor of more immediate treasures. @@novelbin@@

"Noah! They have blue ice cream!" Emily called from the doorway. "Can dragons eat ice cream?"

"Of course dragons can eat ice cream," Noah said, following her inside. "Why do you think they breathe fire? To keep their ice cream from melting."

Emily’s delighted laughter filled the small shop. "That’s silly!"
