Chapter 495 - 538 Song Yi’s Restlessness
Chapter 495: Chapter 538 Song Yi’s Restlessness
Chapter Five Hundred Thirty-Eight
“No! Yang Xiao, you bastard, stop it! Help me!”
Song Yi screamed, trying to stop Yang Xiao.
“Xiaoyi, stop resisting. These are all my people, no one will come to save you,” Yang Xiao said with a grimace, forcefully tearing at Song Yi’s clothes.
“Aren’t you afraid that Xiaoshan will come and kill you? If you do this to me, Xiaoshan will surely kill you,” Song Yi shrieked.
Yang Xiao’s face slightly changed.
...
The image of that person who cut down three helicopters in mid-air, like a Divine Demon, immediately surfaced in his mind. Yang Xiao’s hand froze for a moment; despite his unwillingness to admit it, that instinctual fear seeped out from the bottom of his heart. If Song Yi really was that guy’s woman, and if he really touched Song Yi, who would be able to stop him when that guy came knocking.
Not to mention the Serpent Witch Sect, they couldn’t protect him all the time either.
At the moment Yang Xiao’s movements paused,
a surge of intense pain struck him, making Yang Xiao scream in agony.
Song Yi had learned self-defense techniques. It was just that Yang Xiao was too strong, preventing her from using them. When Yang Xiao paused, she instinctively kneed him in the groin, then pushed Yang Xiao away with all her might and stood up to run outside.
Yang Xiao was in so much pain that his vision went dark, almost fainting.
Song Yi had just reached the doorway when the guards outside rushed in, intercepting her.
Yang Xiao, clutching his crotch, his expression darkened, walked over and slapped Song Yi across the face.
Song Yi defiantly stared back at him, her head held high.
As Yang Xiao’s hand was halfway down, someone ran in shouting, “General, we’ve just received intelligence that Kunmai’s troops are advancing towards Mitzina.”
Yang Xiao’s hand stopped mid-air, and he quickly turned his head, “When did this news come?”
“Just now, the news came from Kunmai.”
“Good, I understand,” Yang Xiao said and strode towards the door. Halfway there, he turned back and said, “Keep a close watch on her, don’t let her escape.”
“Yes, General!”
Several guards shouted.
Yang Xiao quickly left.
The guards pushed Song Yi back into the room and locked the door.
Song Yi, looking somewhat haggard, turned around, fixing her torn clothes, when she suddenly saw someone standing in the room and said irritably, “Why are you here?”
Lan Wan’er replied cheerfully, “I came to see how you’re doing. Are you okay?”
“Don’t give me that crocodile tears,” Song Yi really disliked Lan Wan’er. Not only did this woman like to seduce men like a vixen, but she was also fickle. Despite having been intimate with Long Xiaoshan, she turned her back on him in the blink of an eye.
That little rascal Long Xiaoshan too, all because a woman knew how to please a man, he was bewitched, head over heels, a real animal in his lower half, unable to tell right from wrong. Had he not been so spellbound by this vixen, they would have left Myanmar by now.
“Why so angry, Sister Yi? You are the Master’s woman, and I am the Master’s little female slave. We’re practically family,” Lan Wan’er walked over, smiling as she helped fix Song Yi’s torn sleeve.
“Get away from me, who’s family with you? Would family threaten me with a knife, put Gu Insects on me, and capture me like this?” Song Yi snapped, brushing Lan Wan’er’s hands away, clearly infuriated.
Lan Wan’er said with a grin, “Sister Yi, you are a smart woman. Think about it, if I didn’t control you, would the Master leave on his own with his temperament? If he took you along, could you break out of the encirclement of so many people? Then neither of you would be able to escape. As for the Gu insects I placed on you, they weren’t meant to threaten you.”
Lan Wan’er snapped her fingers, and a sliver of dark light flew out from Song Yi’s body.
Resting on Lan Wan’er’s delicate fingertips, the tiny Gu insect seemed to have countless minuscule compound eyes.
Lan Wan’er formed a witchcraft symbol with her hand.
A mist surged forth, and within it, an image emerged.
“This is the Heavenly Eye Gu. It can monitor your condition, and should you run into any danger, won’t I come to your rescue?” Lan Wan’er said.
Song Yi frowned.
Although she couldn’t trust this woman, what she said undoubtedly made sense.
Given Long Xiaoshan’s character, he would never just abandon her to fend for herself.
So, Lan Wan’er taking her captive to threaten Long Xiaoshan, forcing him to leave alone, actually became a way to save Long Xiaoshan.
And just when Yang Xiao tried to have his way with her by force, Lan Wan’er appeared rather quickly…
Lan Wan’er put away the witchcraft and said with a smile, “Sister Yi, you should believe me now, right?”
Song Yi snorted coldly, “Believe you? If you were really so kind-hearted, why didn’t you warn Xiaoshan earlier in the tropical rainforest about that snake-skinned man being the Serpent Witch Sect’s Young Master? Why did you cling to him and… fool around with him instead? If it weren’t for you delaying us, we would have left much earlier and wouldn’t have run into any danger. You talk a lot, but why don’t you explain that to me?”
Lan Wan’er coughed slightly, “That… of course, I still had my little selfish reasons.”
“Let’s hear them, then.”
“That… I can’t tell you. In any case, you just get ready. I think the master will come to rescue you today.”
“You’re saying Xiaoshan is coming? How do you know?” Song Yi’s eyes lit up as she eagerly grasped Lan Wan’er’s arm and asked.
“Isn’t that obvious? If he wants to rescue you, today is the only chance. Didn’t you hear Yang Xiao just now? The Myanmar Army in Kunmai is already preparing a counterattack against Mitzina.”
Song Yi was no fool; on the contrary, she was extremely intelligent. She immediately realized, “You mean Xiaoshan will take advantage of the chaos today to come here?”
“What do you think?”
Song Yi thought about it, and if Xiaoshan was to rescue her, indeed today was the perfect opportunity.
Yet, a sense of unease inexplicably arose in her heart.
Would Xiaoshan really charge into this Dragon’s Lair and Tiger’s Den for her? The sudden change in Yang Xiao, the man she had cared about for decades, had shaken her faith in men.
All of a sudden, she looked at Lan Wan’er with eager eyes, “What if he doesn’t come?”
Lan Wan’er giggled, “It seems you don’t have much faith in the master.”
“It’s not that… it’s just, what if, just what if?” Song Yi now really hoped Lan Wan’er would offer her some reassurance.
But Lan Wan’er, ever so annoyingly, responded, “If there is a ‘what if,’ then you will have to stay here for the rest of your life.”
“You…”
Song Yi didn’t finish, as Lan Wan’er leapt from the balcony and quickly vanished.
Song Yi looked into the distance, her fists clenched to her chest as she murmured, “Xiaoshan, you must come to rescue me, right?”
A large number of military vehicles appeared outside the city of Mitzina.
The Myanmar government army had amassed an eight-thousand-strong force to launch an attack on Mitzina.
The artillery fire rang out quickly within and around Mitzina City, raising plumes of gunpowder smoke. The battle raging on soon turned fiercely heated, and as the flames of war spread through the streets of Mitzina, a blurry figure breached Mitzina’s defense line.
What do you think?
