Chapter 409: 411: Ye Lanxin's Invitation
Chapter 409: Chapter 411: Ye Lanxin’s Invitation
Zhao Yuying was older than him, gentle, considerate, and more caring.
Moreover, she understood more than Li Bao and Han Meng, and could share and advise when spoken to.
Just like when Li Bao asked him, he didn’t say anything because it was pointless to tell Li Bao, it would only make him worry needlessly.
Han Meng quickly brought the clothes, and after Qin Hao got dressed, he and Zhao Yuying went out.
Seeing Qin Hao leave, Han Meng only had concern in her eyes, without a trace of jealousy.
At noon, when she saw Qin Hao spit blood and faint, Han Meng was terrified. If something truly happened to Qin Hao, it would be like the sky falling down for her and Qiao’er.
She knew she wasn’t well-educated and couldn’t help Qin Hao in many areas, but what she could do was to take care of the home and Qin Hao.
Upon leaving the villa, Leng Xuan saw Qin Hao coming out and quickly asked, “Mr. Qin, are you alright?”
“It’s alright, no need to worry,” Qin Hao replied with a smile.
The two walked to the small garden at the back, where the air was fresh and the breeze was comfortable.
When they reached a wooden bench in the garden, Zhao Yuying sat down and couldn’t help but ask, “What exactly happened?”
Qin Hao sat down and replied, “It’s about the pharmaceuticals.”
Zhao Yuying: “Pharmaceuticals? What about them, is there a problem?”
Qin Hao shook his head: “They haven’t been approved yet.”
Zhao Yuying almost understood what was happening and said with a smile, “Do your best and let fate do the rest. You’ve already made an effort.
At the very least, you can be true to your conscience, and I believe that the state will strongly support such beneficial endeavors.
The reason it hasn’t been approved yet may be that it’s still under detailed planning considerations. As long as you wait, there will surely be good news.”
Looking at her, Qin Hao’s face revealed his usual smile. He had been too fixated that morning.
The high cost of medical care has always been an issue the nation wants to solve, and there’s no reason for the state not to approve it.
The fact that it hasn’t been approved yet definitely indicates that some matters are still being planned.
Zhao Yuying’s words made him feel like the clouds had parted to reveal the sun.
In Xuan Country, the interests of the people surpass all else, and the national policies and guidelines have always been implemented in this spirit.
Qin Hao had sensed the rapid development of modern society from a young age until now.
For instance, cars, which in Qin Hao’s childhood seemed like something only the wealthy could afford, are now owned by nearly every family in the cities and the countryside.
Although housing and commodity prices have risen quickly, there is no doubt that people’s standard of living has improved many times over compared to before.
This is a fact that everyone must acknowledge.
“Thought it through?” Zhao Yuying saw the smile on his face and asked with a laugh.
Qin Hao nodded: “Thanks to you, Ying. I was being obdurate.”
Just then, Qin Hao’s phone rang—it was an unfamiliar number. He answered the call: “Hello, may I ask who’s speaking?”
“Mr. Qin, have you forgotten me so soon?” Ye Lanxin’s voice came through.
Qin Hao was taken aback when he heard her voice: “Oh, it’s Miss Ye. Is there something you need?”
Ye Lanxin asked with a smile, “Do you have time, Mr. Qin? Why don’t you come to Hanhua Golf Course for a while? There are a few friends who want to meet you.”
Qin Hao hesitated for a moment and then nodded: “Alright, please wait a moment, Miss Ye.”
After hanging up the phone, Qin Hao said to Zhao Yuying: “Ying, I have to step out for a bit.”
Zhao Yuying: “Alright, go ahead, be careful on the road.”
…
After returning to the villa, Qin Hao drove to Hangao Golf Course.
This golf course, located in the city center, was a high-end club. Those who frequented it were the upper-class figures of Jianghai City.
After parking the car, Qin Hao headed inside with his entourage.
“Excuse me, are you Mr. Qin?” a server at the entrance inquired.
Qin Hao nodded: “Yes, that’s me.”
“Please follow me, Mr. Qin,” the server led him inside.
Only after entering did Qin Hao realize how large this golf course was—over a thousand acres.
This was in a prime location in the city center, where land was worth its weight in gold. Just this piece of land was valued at over ten billion, perhaps even more.
Guided by the server, Qin Hao made his way deep into the golf course.
He soon saw Ye Lanxin, and there were eight other people sitting beside her.
Among them, Li Jianjun, Li Moying, Li Minghai, Ye Yingda, and Yan Huayue were the ones he recognized; he had never seen the others before.
Seeing Yan Huayue made him think, and he turned his gaze toward a young man sitting next to her.
This was a handsome man with delicate features, probably around twenty-five or twenty-six, with a complexion like jade and an imposing appearance, quite good-looking.
Could he be Du Yingqiang? Qin Hao had been planning to find him.
“Mr. Qin is here, please have a seat,” Ye Lanxin said with a smile upon seeing him.
Qin Hao sat down next to Li Moying because that was the only seat available.
“Master,” Li Moying greeted him with a full-faced smile.
Ye Lanxin smiled and said, “Mr. Qin, let me introduce you. This is Mr. Du Yingqiang, the Vice President of Du Group.
The person next to him is Yan Huayue, Mr. Du’s close female confidant, and these three are Li Qingya, Li Qingyun, and Li Minghai from Kangmei Electrical Group.”
Li Minghai chuckled and said, “No need for introductions with me, I already know Hao.”
Li Qingya and Li Qingyun blinked with a touch of curiosity, wondering how their brother knew Mr. Qin.
Yan Huayue looked at Mr. Qin with a smile, “Mr. Qin, we meet again.”
Qin Hao responded, “Thank you, Miss Yan, for helping my friend last time.”
Yan Huayue: “Mr. Qin is being too polite. Your name is a golden signboard; I believe many people would give you face upon hearing your name.”
Suddenly Du Yingqiang spoke up, “Alright, Hua Yue, how about Mr. Qin takes a swing?”
Qin Hao replied with an embarrassed smile, “Mr. Du, I’ve never played golf.”
Without issue, Du Yingqiang, along with Li Jianjun and two others, said, “No worries, it’s very simple. Jianjun, Lanxin, let’s the four of us play together.”
Li Jianjun and Ye Lanxin stood up together, and the group made their way to the outdoor golf course.
On the way, Du Yingqiang briefly explained the rules to Qin Hao: the course had eighteen holes, starting from the first one.
Whoever gets the ball into the hole first wins, and then they start the competition at the second hole.
Qin Hao weighed the ball in his hand, trying out its heft, then swung the club a few times.
“Ahem, Master, have you really never played before? Going up like that is just asking to be thrashed,” Li Moying said upon seeing his posture, clearly that of a novice.@@novelbin@@
Qin Hao looked at her and said, “Mo Ying, there are two words in the dictionary called ‘talent’.”
“Mr. Qin, I’ll go first to show you how it’s done,” said Du Yingqiang as he swung his club and hit the ball.
The ball landed near the hole, and with his skills, he was sure to sink it on the second strike.
Next were Li Jianjun and Ye Lanxin, with abilities nearly matching, all landing close to the hole.
Finally, it was Qin Hao’s turn. After estimating the distance, he swung his club and struck.
However, the ball didn’t take off; he had swung at air.
“Ahem, go ahead, Mr. Qin,” Du Yingqiang and the others barely held back their laughter.
Qin Hao felt a little embarrassed; he swung again and hit the ball.
“Whoosh!”
The golf ball traced a beautiful arc in the sky and then “plonk” dropped right into the first hole.
Du Yingqiang and the others were dumbfounded—damn, it went in? Just by chance?
Li Moying, Yan Huayue, Li Qingya, and Li Qingyun all showed surprise on their faces—it went in just like that?
Qin Hao: “It’s not that hard.”
At the second hole, Qin Hao went first and, once again, the ball went in.
Du Yingqiang, Ye Lanxin, and the others stared in disbelief. The first one might be luck, but what about the second?
Had he not said he had never played golf before?
This was simply a prodigy; playing for the first time and already so terrifying?
The more he played, the more effortlessly he did it, sinking ball after ball, five in a row.
The others watched him as though he were a monster—golf wasn’t that simple.
First, you had to estimate the distance between the ball and the hole, calculate the trajectory of the parabolic flight, control the strength of your swing, and the point of impact between the club and the ball.
Du Yingqiang: “Ahem, let’s talk about business instead.”
