Qin Feng was bound with ropes, standing with his head hung low.

In front was a huge azure-colored throne which was occupied by the sect leader who was also the tribe-head, the only emperor realm expert of the QingLong tribe, known as the Azure Dragon Lord. His name was Zhou YuanXin.

Beside him stood the five peak masters of the sect and Tuo Xingsen.

Qin Feng's master, Zhu Song, looked at him with pity-filled eyes while standing beside the sect leader.

Behind Qin Feng, maintaining some distance, stood the disciples of the sect who had come to attend this trial of the demonic disciple, Qin Feng.

Zhu Ling, Wang Ling Er, Qi Nao, and others were also present in this crowd.

Tuo Xingsen pointed at Qin Feng and spoke:

"Patriarch, This demonic cultivator appeared in my nephew's mansion last night and killed him. It is my good fortune that he managed to send me a signal before he could escape. I had to make some effort to capture him alive. Please give him a suitable punishment."

"Hmm," The patriarch hummed before questioning Qin Feng: "Qin Feng, You've been a disciple of the Azure Claw peak for 9 years according to what I've been told. So tell me, how are you able to use blood path skills?"

He had already received a report about Qin Feng from Zhu Song and thus he had some understanding about Qin Feng.

Hearing his question, Qin Feng decided to answer with the truth. He had thought long about how to answer this question, however, he couldn't come up with any reason for being able to use blood path.

Even if he made up some lie, that wouldn't work. Just a little bit of investigation would reveal his lie.

Moreover, he wasn't confident in being able to fool an emperor realm expert. It was said that emperor realm cultivators can easily discern lies, hence it is not wise to lie in front of them.

"Lord Patriarch, I received a demonic treasure from a dying cultivator of the Tian Jian tribe. He entrusted it to me to help him deliver this treasure to the Heavenly Sword, the patriarch of the Tian Jian Tribe. It was this treasure that took control over my mind and made me use Blood Path attacks!"

He answered honestly to the best of his abilities. His thinking was simple.

He thought once he revealed that he only wanted to complete the mission of his first master, they would simply take the demonic treasure and deliver it to the Heavenly Sword.

"Oh. Then show me this demonic treasure." The patriarch asked with a slightly raised eyebrow.

Qin Feng nodded before closing his eyes and wishing for the demonic treasure to appear.

And instantly the crimson glow gushed out, prompting most in the room to squint their eyes as the necklace appeared around his neck.

"Is that the demonic treasure you talked about?" The patriarch asked calmly.

Qin Feng nodded in response.

The patriarch looked at this treasure intently for a while, finding it similar.

"Where I've seen this before?" He murmured before suddenly widening his eyes as he remembered.

He took out a book from his space ring, opening it in a hurry before stopping at a certain page.

"Demonic Blood Pearl??" He yelled in horror.

"What?? Demonic Blood Pearl? Is this really the demonic treasure of the Blood Demon?" One of the peakmaster asked with wide eyes, while the other peakmaster looked at the necklace with horror.

The patriarch nodded before displaying the page of the book to the peakmasters.

"See here. In the legends of the Righteous Sword Sovereign, the Blood Demon is almost as strong as him and he is said to have spread havoc on the whole world of cultivation until the Righteous Sword Sovereign came out of his close cultivation and defeated him. This is the treasure that the Blood Demon used."

The Patriarch explained.

Though the legends of the Righteous Sword Sovereign were famous throughout the world similar to the legends of his master, the Eternal Great Sovereign, however, most people don't remember the Blood Demon's treasure by appearance.

It was only after the patriarch pointed it out that they realized that it was the same treasure.

The patriarch then turned towards Tuo Xingsen and inquired:

"Prefecture Lord Xingsen, when you fought Qin Feng, did his eyes turn dark? As if colored by ink?"

"Huh? How do you know that, my lord?" Tuo Xingsen was surprised to hear that since he hadn't mentioned this.

The patriarch murmured in a low voice: "So he has used Blood Demon Transformation. Looks like the treasure has already chosen him as master."

He then sighed: "It appears I have no choice. We need to kill him if we want to maintain peace in this world. I can't let the demonic tribes get their hands on this treasure."

He then announced loudly: "I, Zhou YuanXin, the Patriarch of the QingLong Tribe, hereby announce Qin Feng's punishment for the crime of murdering Tuo Xingsen's nephew. His punishment shall be execution."

"What??" Qin Feng's eyes nearly popped out as he instantly appealed:

"My Lord, I didn't murder him without any reason. He was a lecher who kidnapped girls from the villages."

"I only went to his mansion to save a girl he had kidnapped. I was even leaving after saving the girl without harming him, however, prefecture lord Xingsen appeared and tried to silence us by killing us."

"I only acted in self-defense. It is the Prefecture Lord who murdered an innocent girl from the tribe."

"Moreover, I wasn't even in my control due to the demonic treasure. How can you announce my punishment like this?"

The patriarch nodded in understanding before questioning: "Do you have any proof?"

He calmly informed: "Prefecture Lord Xingsen has shown his nephew's corpse with a wound created by a blood path attack. If what you say is true then show me the girl's corpse. Her body must have a wound from the Prefecture Lord's attack, right?"
