Chapter 487

It was a windy night, whispering the news of the coming winter, and yet the sky remained relatively clear, allowing the world to bask in the starlight.

The stars shimmered in lights, brighter and more enchanting to his eyes than to anyone else's, and a smile crept on his lips as he saw the Aura and Mana of the World blending in with every living thing around him.

He had noticed that since the death of Qin Feng, the Aura and Mana of the World seemed to have been energised a little, and he had his own curious thoughts about it.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" A soft ethereal voice suddenly sounded from right behind him, and his heart skipped a beat.

Keith turned around and found Leilah standing there. She looked right into his eyes, wearing a light smile on her face.

"Lady Nyx." He politely greeted her with a slight bow, and she smiled and returned the courtesy.

"Lord Erebus."

There was a hint of playfulness in her dark eyes as she stepped forward to stand by his side, and then she drew her left hand up.

As soon as she raised her hand above her waist, a three-dimensional image of a World and its Star System appeared above her hand, and he could tell at a glance that it was the Star System where Gaia existed.

It was a sight that could mesmerise anyone, and a smile crept on his face when a sudden thought crossed his mind.

Keith knew that if Nyx wanted it, then everything he was seeing right now would cease to exist in a blink. It was how easy it was for her.

However, soon his eyes were drawn to the patterns, the strange lights that seemed to rejuvenate the life on Gaia.

The image enlarged with just his thoughts, and he indeed saw the land and seas on Gaia basking in an ethereal light.

Zooming in, perhaps out of curiosity, he soon found himself standing where he was, but his brows furrowed when he did not find Leilah standing by his side in the image.

Curiously, he glanced at her, finding her still present there, and then he looked at the image again.

There were certain differences in what he could see for himself and what the live image was showing him right now.

He saw something ethereal exuding his body, and he smiled when he sensed the joy of the world, which was thanking him for his presence.

It was something he had never sensed before, and as soon as the image above Leilah's hand disappeared, the connection he had grasped dropped as well.

Suddenly, a wave of tiredness washed over him, and he was surprised when he realised that he only had 10% of his Aura and Mana Reserves left in his body.

He could not help but sigh at his weakness and then took a deep breath, clearing up his mind, but soon he heard something that froze him.

"This world will end soon," Leilah told him, and an illusory serpent appeared above her hand, cheerfully slithering in the air in circles.

It was the Spirit of Gaia, and right now, it was playing on the hand of its creator.

"Judgement Day?" He guessed, piecing things together.

It made sense why the Aura and Mana of the World was rejuvenating right now.

"Yes." The Goddess of Infinity nodded with a smile. "This Gaia will cease to exist after 159 years, and another will be created in its stead. Over the coming decades, Aura and Mana will continue to grow stronger on Gaia, reaching their peak and then they would start dipping, until completely vanishing with the death of this World."

"I see." Keith simply nodded, not caring about it, and his reaction made her smile.

"Do you want to stay and watch the end of the world?"

"No." He chuckled and shook his head. "Can you not show me how it is going to unfold right now?"

"Well, I can make it happen right now." Her words were light, and there was still the hint of teasing in her eyes, which made him sigh in his heart.

"Nah. Forget it." He shook his head, his mind already running with all the faces of the people who would die if it happened right now.

"Let's go." She said, and the next he blinked, he found himself inside the living room where everyone was gathered.

"Lady Nyx." Rebecca immediately stood up and then bowed to her. And as soon as Leilah smiled at her, she walked over and hugged the Goddess.

How many people in existence dared to do it? Well, Rebecca was one of them, and she knew that Nyx doted on her a lot, almost like a mother doting on her child.

And she dared to take advantage of it.

The blonde then introduced Rouxi, Roulan, and Feifei to Leilah, and the Inheritor of Nuwa was quite nervous when the Goddess of Infinity cupped her cheeks and planted a kiss on her forehead, just as lovingly as she had done to Rebecca earlier.

"You have grown into a beautiful girl, Rouxi." She said, and when the Demiliore curiously looked at her, she smiled. "How do you like Eira?"

"I love her."

Hearing the honest answer of her Master, the Magical wolf happily barked, and then it approached Leilah and expectantly looked up at her.

"Oh, you have grown up beautifully as well." She said and then gently patted the She-Wolf's head, earning another happy bark.

"Eee!" Her action seemingly roused jealousy from a certain Black Cub, who jumped up on Rebecca's shoulder and cutely yipped at the Goddess of Infinity.

"You too, Void." She smiled.

Even the little foxes who were in Kiara and Minami's arms rushed forward to inspect and greet Nyx. At least, for them, it was the first time they were meeting.

"Hmph!" Feifei expressed her displeasure when even her beloved Feya flew over to greet Leilah, and her reaction sent chills up Qingyue's spine, who was standing right by her side.

She actually dared to be so bold in front of Nyx?

"Have we met before?" However, the Future Yellow Empress paid no attention to her sister's reaction and curiously asked Leilah.

The sudden question made everyone curiously look at her and then at the Goddess of Infinity, who nodded her head.

"I was the first person to hold you in my arms when you were born, Feifei." She revealed and then gently walked over to tap her finger on the girl's head, who surprisedly looked at her.

"What did she do?" Keith narrowed his eyes and asked the System.

{She showed her the memory of the time she held her in her arms and whispered the Divine Verses in her ear. She also showed her the memory of her holding the newly-born Rouxi and Roulan in her arms.}

"It is not suitable for you to keep Eira and Feya out all the time in the Lower Heaven. They will attract unnecessary attention." Leilah said to them, and the next moment, Rouxi, Roulan, and Feifei found beautiful bracelets on their right wrists. "These are the Beast Rings, and Eira and Feya can hide inside them. People in the Lower Heaven won't be able to pry into their details once they are connected to these Beast Rings. Remember that only your Soul Bound Magical Beasts can enter the Beast Ring, and they are frozen in Time. It's not a place to live, so, if you want them to grow, you will have to keep them outside in the world."

As soon as she finished speaking, the three of them felt some needles from the Bracelets dig into their skin, and then the two Beasts immediately disappeared, turning into light and entering the Beast Ring of their respective Master.

When Rouxi and Feifei called out to them, they materialised out of the light that escaped the two Rings. And they both seemed fine.

"What Grade are those Beast Rings?" Keith frowned as he looked at the Bracelets, and the System soon answered his question.

{These are Upgradeable Treasures, Host. Currently, they are at the Sky Grade. The number of Soul-Bound Beasts that can be held inside them is five, and any Beast under the Immortal Realm can stay inside them.}

"Thank you." Feifei gratefully said after she inspected the ring.

"You are welcome." Leilah smiled and then waved her hand, opening up a revolving portal by her side, which emanated a very strange yet captivating sound. "It's time." She lightly said.

Seeing the Portal, all three of them tensed up, and they all subconsciously looked towards Keith.

The anxiousness in their eyes made him smile and he walked over to them.

Roulan was the first one to take the initiative, and she stepped forward to hug him. When she reluctantly parted with him, Rouxi and Feifei followed suit.

One by one, all the ladies in the room quickly stepped forward to greet the three of them, and finally, the three girls looked at Leilah and nodded their heads, telling her that they were ready to leave.

"I am waiting for you on the other side. We will talk there." She said, catching them by surprise.

Taking a deep breath, Feifei took the lead and recalled Feya inside the Beast Ring. She calmly stepped into the curtain of space inside the Portal, disappearing from their eyes, and her sisters followed her to the Lower Heaven, not willing to keep her waiting for even a second.

As soon as the three of them entered it, the Portal closed down, leaving behind some cracks in space, which healed under the naked eye.

As seconds passed by, the mood inside the room grew depressed, but soon Rebecca said something that made Qingyue dumbly look at her.

"I want a Beast Ring too." The Blonde Demiliore expectantly looked at Leilah, who knowingly smiled at her.

"You have your pendant." She glanced at the Pendant of Hecate that Rebecca always wore on her neck.

"I still want a Beast Ring." She pouted a little and brightly smiled when a Beast Ring suddenly appeared on her right wrist. "Thank you!" She sincerely said, and Leilah just smiled at her, clearly holding back her giggles.

"I will see you again on the day you leave." She said and then nodded to Keith before disappearing from the room.

"Ehhh!" Kiara suddenly yelped in surprise, and when they looked over, they found a beautiful bracelet on her right wrist.

Minami had a similar bracelet on her wrist as well, and then the two of them smiled at each other before they tested them and asked the Foxes to enter the Rings.

"Good!"

Keith sighed in his heart when Rebecca, Kiara, and Minami smiled at him, and yes, seeing those Bracelets on their hands, he too wanted one.

Then again, he did not need one. After all, he had the Steele of Time & Space with him.
