Chapter 16 Caught Red-Handed, the God-Tier Choice Appears

As time passed, the classroom gradually emptied until almost everyone had left. When the last student walked out, Lan Yuxi finally lifted her head, her beautiful eyes darting around cautiously.

“Phew, that was nerve-wracking,” she muttered, sitting up and sticking out her petite tongue.

She fanned herself with a book to cool down.

Lan Yuxi stood up and left the classroom. She glanced around nervously as she made her way to the girls’ restroom.

Luckily, it was lunchtime. Most of the students had gone home, and the teachers were eating in the cafeteria. The restroom was completely empty.

The restroom in 2002 wasn’t as clean or modern as later public facilities. There were no individual stalls, the space was divided by white ceramic tiles, with a long drainage channel running underneath.

Lan Yuxi went to the farthest corner and pressed the flush button with her foot. She was wearing delicate strappy sandals, perfect for summer. Her feet were stunning—fair, flawless, with elegantly arched soles. Even the faint veins on the top of her feet were visible.

The sound of rushing water filled the restroom as she tore the paper into tiny pieces, ready to toss them away.

“It seems I was right—our dear class president is up to no good.”

A lazy voice sounded in her ear as someone grabbed her slender wrist.

Lan Yuxi’s face turned bright red as she glared at Qi Lin, both embarrassed and furious.

“Y-you pervert! Where are you hitting?”

Her voice wasn’t quiet, and if anyone had been outside the restroom, they would have heard her.

Qi Lin shook his hand but didn’t seem angry. Instead, he smirked.

“Go ahead and yell louder, class president. That way, everyone will know I was in the girls’ restroom and that you cheated on the exam.”

Lan Yuxi’s face instantly paled.

Qi Lin’s words confirmed that he had discovered her cheating.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t cheat! You’re the one who barged into the girls’ restroom like a pervert. I’ll report this to the teacher!”

Seizing the moment when Qi Lin loosened his grip, Lan Yuxi quickly threw the shredded paper into the toilet. The fragments swirled away with the water, disappearing completely.

Lan Yuxi’s eyes gleamed with triumph as she stared at Qi Lin.

Although she wanted to call for help and catch Qi Lin red-handed, she had indeed cheated. Even though she had destroyed the evidence, her flawless answers combined with her visit to the office would still leave her under suspicion once the results were out.
