With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1010 Espers

But before doing that, he just wanted to see what this young man had to say.

He had come all the way here, so the least that Lin Fan could do was listen to what he had to say.

The young man turned out to have a lot to say.

"The continent that I come from is filled with different power users that we called espers. They have the ability to use the power of their minds to influence the world. It all depends on how strong their powers are that we grade them accordingly."

It seemed that he had no qualms about giving the information that he had.

Though whether that information was correct or not was to be seen.

Information from the other continents was rare in the first place, so it wasn't something that was that easily obtained. It was something that could only be obtained with a large price and only once one reached a certain level.

Even the Mu Empire didn't have enough information about this continent that this young man talked about.

That was just how closely guarded information about the other continents were.

"So why did you come here then?" After a pause, Lin Fan added, "How did you even come here in the first place?"

"It's because of the S Ranker Anderson. He has a special teleportation ability that he can use that can send people across continents."

Everyone deeply knitted their brows when they heard this.

When he saw this, the young man added, "Of course, it's not as if there are no limits. He can only send espers that are weaker than him and he can't send that many people each day since it consumes a lot of energy just for him to send one person. It's not as if he's going to send an army all the way here."

The young man revealed a smile at the end of this, but there was no one that was in the mood to play along with him.

"Then what kind of power do you have?" Lin Fan asked in a calm voice, though his eyes didn't seem as calm as his voice.

The young man raised his hand and lifted one of the pens that were on the table without even touching it. The same kind of mental energy appeared and was the thing that lifted this pen off the table like this.

After giving this demonstration, the young man said, "My power is telekinesis. I can use the power of my mind to lift things like this."

Then with a sigh, he said, "Of course, it's not as if my powers are that great in the first place. I'm nothing more than a D Ranker, which was why I was sent here to begin with. I was nothing more than a disposable pawn for them, so I was chosen to come to this place."

"So the reason that you're choosing to betray them…?" Lin Fan left his words hanging, but the meaning behind them was quite clear.

The young man instantly figured out what Lin Fan was implying, so he revealed a serious look for once as he said, "If I just followed their orders, then I would be nothing more than a pawn for them. Once I've outlived my purpose, the only thing that would be waiting for me is death. So instead of choosing to follow them to death, I choose to find a way to survive."

His eyes were filled with determination as he said this, making it clear that he was serious about this.

But even if he was serious about this, did it really matter?

Lin Fan narrowed his eyes to look at him.

The information that the young man provided was quite valuable and it gave him a bit of insight into the power system of the other continent if it was true. Your journey continues on My Virtual Library Empire

This young man was only a D Rank Esper, but when converted to the cultivation realms of the cultivation continent, he would only be at around the same level as someone in the Foundation Realm.

Then for a C Rank Esper, would that mean that they would be at the same level as someone in the Qi Condensation Realm?

A B Rank Esper would be at the same level as someone in the Golden Core Realm?

If the power of that continent scaled at that rate, it really didn't seem like they had anyone that would be at the same level as those top cultivators in the Five Great Sects. If that was the case, then even S Rankers wouldn't be able to stop those Transcendence Realm Cultivators since they would only be equal to those in the Nascent Soul Realm or even the Soul Formation Realm if he was being generous…

In the end, Lin Fan decided to completely ditch this idea.

It was because there were far too little things that he actually knew about the esper continent to come to this conclusion.

In short, he knew too little about the actual kind of power that these higher rank espers wielded and at the same time, he was limited by the thoughts of his previous world.

Through the manga and novels of his previous world, he thought that S Rank would be the peak of the power system. But that didn't mean that this was the case in this world.

There could be ranks that were higher than the S Rank that he didn't know about, so it would be wrong to limit himself by the scale that he was familiar with. Instead, he should assume that there were those that were on the same level as those Transcendence Realm Cultivators from the Five Great Sects.

Otherwise, they would have invaded those other continents long ago.

That is unless there were no resources worth them invading the other continent for that to happen. But Lin Fan didn't believe that this would be the case since it was an entire continent.

There was no way that the resources of an entire continent would be that poor.

After these thoughts, Lin Fan looked at the young man and asked, "So what are you planning on doing? Even if you wanted to get our attention, there were plenty of better ways to do that. Especially since you'll be found out by those from your continent for doing such a public stunt."

"They won't think that I'm alive after this, right?" The young man said with a confident smile.

Lin Fan was able to quickly figure out what the young man was implying, though it did help to have Yue Lan whisper a hint in his ear.

After figuring this out, Lin Fan looked at the young man with narrowed eyes for a bit before asking, "Then is the information that you have really that valuable?"

The young man gave a confident nod as he said, "Of course, or else I wouldn't have done this. It was only because I was confident in the information that I possessed that I would take such a risk."

Seeing that Lin Fan didn't say anything in response and just continued to look at him like this, the young man added with a sigh, "I care about my own life very much, you don't have to worry about that. If I can guarantee that my life is safe, then I don't care what I have to do."

Lin Fan knitted his brows when he heard this.

Others might be happy to hear this and would choose to use this young man for what he was worth, Lin Fan didn't think the same. After all, he was different from other people where he wasn't able to take control.

He was someone that had a special ability that no one else had.

Well, he had multiple special abilities that other people didn't have.@@novelbin@@

But in the end, he chose to use the one that even he hadn't thought about using in the beginning.

The method that he had been thinking about was using Greeny's parasite seeds to turn this young man into a living puppet. But now that he thought about it, this young man would have more use than just being a living puppet.

In that case, it was time for him to do something that he hadn't done in a long time.

"You can all leave now. I want to talk to him alone."

The others in the room were surprised to hear this and they looked at Lin Fan with strange looks, but he didn't give them a response as he just waited for them to leave.

In the end, they all left the room since they had faith in Lin Fan.

They believed that whatever he was doing was actually useful in getting the information that they wanted from this young man.

When they were alone, the young man looked at Lin Fan with a strange look too.

When he saw that Lin Fan didn't say a single thing, he couldn't help feeling that this situation was even more strange. He really didn't know what he was supposed to do now that it was just the two of them.

"Um, is there…"

That was all that the young man was able to say before Lin Fan appeared in front of him and punched him in the stomach.

The young man crumpled under that punch and was gasping for breath since that punch had knocked the wind out of him.

He slowly looked up at Lin Fan like he was asking him what that was for, but Lin Fan just kicked him in the stomach again.

While doing this, Lin Fan was also waiting for the appearance of a notification from the system.
