Chapter 1096: Are You Not Entertained? [Part 2]

Samantha, who felt herself melting in Ethan's arms, had no time to look at the one-sided massacre that was happening around her.

However, she could still hear the dying screams, curses, and desperation coming from the invaders who had tried to capture her beloved.

She didn't want conflicts, nor did she wish for accolades.

Samantha only wanted to spend her life peacefully with the young man she loved and who loved her back just as much.

Ethan stood tall and proud while looking at the battlefield with a calm expression on his face.

He looked very imposing, but truth be told, he didn't dare to join the battle as he had yet to properly adapt to his new powers.

It was highly possible that a single step from him might create a giant crater, which would destroy a part of the city if he wasn't careful.

Because of this, he temporarily sealed his powers after killing the Winged Serpent, whose life force and abilities he had just absorbed.

He was also worried that he might accidentally absorb the life force and powers of his lovers, which would be a very tragic thing were it to happen.

Until he fully grasped his abilities, he didn't dare to make his move and allowed his allies to clean up the monsters, who had completely lost the high morale they had earlier.

The young man wasn't worried in the slightest about the Progenitors because the Ouroboros was around.

In fact, due to his bond with it, even if someone managed to kill Ethan in his moment of weakness, the Ouroboros would just rewind his time, bringing him to the time before his death.

However, his enemies knew nothing about this.

But even if they did, what could they possibly do about it?

They were in Midgard, and in Midgard, Ethan was unkillable.

If they wanted to kill him, they would have to kill him outside of Midgard, where his heaven- defying ability would not activate.

Ethan watched as the Progenitors tried everything in their power to kill him but still failed in the end.

Ouroboros had already locked its Divine Senses over the entire battlefield.

Ethan's allies were currently invincible. Every time one of them died, Ouroboros simply rewound their time, reverting them to their peak state.

Of course, this ability had its limit.

Ouroboros couldn't rewind time with impunity, and a price needed to be paid every time he did it.

However, there was a loophole.

A newly born Ouroboros had complete dominion over time within a fixed range for an entire day.

There would be no need to pay any price nor would it have to worry about the law of cause and effect, which others referred to as causality.@@novelbin@@

The entire battlefield was its playground, and it was completely up to it who lived and who died.

Earlier, the Progenitors who were also on their way to Midgard, completely stopped in their tracks when they saw the massive Draconic Snake hovering above the weave, protecting Midgard from invaders.

Some of them thanked their lucky stars for allowing them to be a step too late in descending into Ethan's World.

If they had come earlier, they would be in the same situation as the twelve Progenitors, whose faces had all turned grim due to the fact that their life and death were left completely up to the Ouroboros' whim.

Some of them had even started to plead for forgiveness, while others proposed a deal to let bygones be bygones.

The Colossal Creature that represented Eternity stared down at these once arrogant beings, who were now prostrating and begging for its mercy.

Unfortunately for them, the young man who was now being surrounded and hugged by his lovers, didn't intend to show any mercy.

He was simply ignoring them for the time being because he wanted them to fall into despair before he made his move to deal with them personally.

"Brother! Why don't I feel any magical fluctuations in your body?" Joanne, who grabbed hold of Ethan's arm, holding it close, frowned after inspecting it for nearly half a minute. "Did you lose your powers or something?"

"No," Ethan replied. "I simply became too powerful and needed to restrain myself, or else, your pretty face might get squished."

Joanne immediately pouted because her brother was teasing her.

"I'm glad both of you are safe," Luna said, hugging Ethan and Samantha at the same time. "I really thought that we would be separated from each other."

"That's not going to happen," Ethan replied, pressing his forehead on the young lady's forehead, helping her calm down. "I'm here now, and I'll keep all of you safe."

"That sounds reassuring," Chloe stood beside Ethan and smiled faintly. "But, what are your plans for those Progenitors?"

"I have plans for them, but I am also willing to accept recommendations," Ethan replied. "How do you think I should handle them?"

"I want them cooked, boiled, and barbecued at the same time," Emma, who had suffered an injury earlier and was helped by Samantha, said hatefully.

"Sounds good," Ethan replied. "Any other takers?"

One by one, his lovers made recommendations, each suggestion more vile than the one before

it.

Illumina proposed that they be given to her to be dissected, so they could analyze how they managed to achieve their current level of strength.

Ethan readily agreed and even asked her which one she wanted to dissect.

The Mermaid Princess didn't even bat an eye and pointed at the six-armed Demon Lord, Malrith, who had been getting on her nerves since the battle started.

Malrith, who had been paying attention to Ethan and his lovers' conversation, couldn't help but grit his teeth in frustration.

He wanted nothing more than to humiliate and dominate the Mermaid Princess, who dared to even speak of dissecting him.

However, he also felt helpless because he understood that even with all the powers he possessed, he would not be able to really do anything to Illumina unless the Ouroboros

allowed it.

While this was happening, Rullion, who was now feeling extremely anxious, opened his lips.

"Your name is Ethan, right?" Rullion asked. "I believe that your wife has been captured by the Plague Faction. If you forgive us and let bygones be bygones, not only will we help save your wife, but we will also wipe out the Plague Faction for you. What do you say?"

Malrith and the other Progenitors immediately thought that this was a good idea.

They all voiced their desire to help, even promising to exterminate the Plague Faction down

to their very last subordinate.

"I will give you Zabab's head!" Malrith declared.

"I'll offer you that slut, Tiruru, in chains if you wish for it!" another Progenitor stated.

"Your Defenders in the Lands of Saraqael are currently fighting on multiple fronts, right? I will help you deal with those bastards and side with your faction!" another Progenitor shouted, even sporting an expression as if he and Ethan's enemies couldn't exist under the

same sky.

Ethan smiled after hearing the proposals of the Progenitors who thought that they finally found a way out of their current circumstance.

The young man and the Ouroboros in the sky had to admit that these Progenitors were finally starting to look cute in their eyes, making them feel mildly entertained.

However, the devilish smile on Ethan's face made these powerful beings subconsciously shudder. In their eyes, that was the look of someone who didn't intend on letting any of them

escape with their lives.
