CH.576 Return from the Empire and Narra Kingdom Flower Planting
CH.576 Return from the Empire and Narra Kingdom Flower Planting
We spent a few more days in the Empire. Because of our fast travel, Elias had plenty of time to spare. And since I was teleporting back and forth from HomeBase, I didn’t mind it too much either.
During those days, I did a few things worth of note. @@novelbin@@
For one, I had some practice matches with Saffee. Nothing serious, of course. Not like I can be serious when taking on someone of her level. Though admittedly, Saffee was quite high level considering her age. I’d say she is probably around level 30.
She used a spear as her main weapon. And because she did, I wanted to have her test out our skill spear. Sadly it is in the HomeBase showroom, not in my Storage, so I couldn’t just pull it out. But I just asked Cailie if she could go and put it into Storage, and she did, so then I was just able to pull it out. Teleportation of objects has never been easier! … okay, it probably has.
I was also introduced to a handful of alchemists that were willing to move. Or maybe forced to move? I’m not sure. Hiro had me pick from them, and after seeing that one of them was a spider-kin, I had to pick her. I want an arachne on HomeBase because I feel like my collection of monster girls won’t be complete without one.
… Don’t have a lamia or a harpie either. But I do have two centaurs and a few mermaids. Okay, only Cailie is an actual mermaid, but mer-folk basically count.
I don’t have a slime girl either, but I can always tame a slime and see if one can hold a humanoid form.
Spider-kin are interesting. The difference between a spider-kin and spider-folk isn’t a large one. Spider-kin just have extra eyes. Spider-folk just have four, but kin have all eight. Both spider-folk and spider-kin also have two extra limbs that look like spider legs that come out from their mid and lower back. Kind of like those metal spider legs that the MCU iron spider suit has.
Spider-kin also have a handful of potential racial skills. Web Making, Poison Making, Enhanced Vision.
Her name is Sharon by the way, and her racial skill is Web Making. She also has a few other notable skills, like Potion Making, Water Magic and Appraisal.
I also did a few more pack openings with Hiro, but I was just opening old sets, so I didn’t get any new cards. I also gifted Hiro one of the Elemental HERO decks used in my Deck Master tournament. Not the one Damian used, but one used by a different competitor.
And I let Hiro know about Teleport to Slate and let him keep one slate that he could set up in his room. In case he wanted some company. He can just call me, set up the slate, and I’ll teleport over. Unless I have something else going on.
And lastly, I made sure to ask if I could get the details for the Empire’s airship ports. No, I wasn’t going to steal their airship tech, I just wanted to see if my airships would fit them. And if not, what modifications would need to be made for them to fit.
Luckily it wasn’t too much. The ship overall would fit, just things like the on/off ramp would have to be adjusted, and a few other problems would need to be fixed.
But in theory, I can make a ship that can dock in both the three Kingdoms and the Empire. I just need to get the materials for them. Luckily we did make that mine so I won’t disrupt every supply chain ever.
The return trip to Ruiso Kingdom was nothing special, but Ria did use that time to give Sharon a rundown on what to expect at HomeBase.
So after dropping off Elias and his crew, we headed home.
Luckily people on HomeBase already knew about our new addition, thanks to me teleporting back and forth. So her room and alchemy lab were already finished and ready for use.
Lawrence had gotten some of the Alchemy Lab’s equipment, while I made some of it with the True Core.
The coolest part of the Alchemy Lab was the design table. Yes, it is the same as what the Workshop has, but the Alchemy Lab had access to a bunch of info from the True Core.
The True Core can make plenty of strange chemicals that cannot currently be refined, and I wanted Sharon to have ‘access’ to them. Sure she can’t just get them, I’m not giving her True Core access, but she will know about them.
So she can theorize some recipes, and we can then either produce them, or jump into the Factory to try them out. Or Sharon can just send a recipe to the Factory and my monsters can try it out.
Oh, and Sharon got her own phone, and I also gave a phone to a superintendent at the Empire’s food institute, so she could send them recipes. As I promised Hiro I’d do if he supplied me with an alchemist. Even though Sharon isn’t an alchemist yet. She needs to evolve first.
But in the Empire, just having the necessary mixing skills can get you a job as an 'alchemist', even if you haven't evolved to the class race Alchemist.
And now that I was home, it was time for my next big job. My next, and last, mass flower planting in the Kingdoms.
During my time in the Empire, my monsters had converted all the needed monster cores into magic stones, so all I had to do is a handful … okay, a few hundred installs. Then just make sure I had all the devices and wiring I’ll need.
Then I grabbed Paulina and we were off.
Like with the other two Kingdoms, Narra Kingdom needed just about 50 flowerbeds. 49 in total, actually. Which is perfect, because with the one we planted in the Empire, that is a total of 50, and I get even rewards. Five of them in total.
The first one advanced my Shonen Jump promotional card trades. I got access to 12 (-1) new promo cards.
Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction; Number 16: Shock Master; Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max; Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings; Number 88: Gimmick Puppet of Leo; Vulcan the Divine; Archfiend Commander; Blue-Eyes White Dragon (in an alternate artwork); Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Evening Twilight; Ebon Illusion Magician; Elemental HERO Core and Ultimaya Tzolkin.
Most of them fall into the ‘cool, but not super amazing’ category, but I have to say, Ultimaya Tzolkin is really cool. It even comes with the Divine-Beast effect.
For reward 2, I got five promo sets.
And one of the coolest Yugioh cards ever made, the , Tyler the Great Warrior. It is literally the dream card of any Yugioh collector. A one of a kind card. One that would likely never be sold, unless Tyler needed money. And even if it did sell, its price would likely be in the millions. And now I own one. Sure it isn't 'the one', just a proxy copy made by Pack Opener, but it is still amazing.
Other than Tyler, a card worth noting is Worse Raider. I was just thinking I didn’t have it, but I do now.
Third reward had more promo stuff. Six sets this time. But I think that is because three of these ‘sets’ only have 1 card.
The two match winners are really cool. Last Day of the Witch and Breath of Light are also pretty powerful spells.
The fourth reward was, you guessed it, more promo stuff.
Yeah. So I got Get Your Game On! And that card just … doubles the attack of all Elemental HERO and Neo-Spacian monsters on the field. Am I technically allowed to play it? Probably not, but I think I can play it.
Other than that, there are a few match winners, and some other cool cards.
For the fifth, and final, reward, I got reprint sets. Three of them in fact.
, and .
I have all the cards from all three sets, so I’m in no real rush to open any packs from those sets. So I think I’ll save them for the next time I’ll open packs with Hiro.
But I think that will do for the day.
What do you think?
