CH.577 Order of Chaos
CH.577 Order of Chaos
Alright. I guess I’ll start off with Sharon’s progress. She got a Mind Crush set on her. Just so she can’t report about Level Up!s or installs. If she tries to, she will lose her memories related to those two things. Nothing else.
Because of that, I began to fast level her skills. Mainly Potion Making, so she can evolve into an alchemist, and her Mana Control, as it is important. Also Web Making so she will evolve into an arachne.
This also meant that she had to spend at least two hours a day just keeping up with her quickly increasing skill levels. So we couldn’t really advance with the sodas just yet. But once Sharon is leveled up, the process should go very quickly.
I also got a thank you letter from the King, just thanking me for taking Elias to the Empire, and all the good reputation Ruiso Kingdom got thanks to me.
But because things can’t stay perfect for long, pretty soon I got information about the next up-coming fissure. So naturally I had to deal with it.
I took Lua with me, because she wanted to come.
The fissure itself was nothing special. We have these things down pat. I summoned Exodia, and made sure he could do his thing, while Lua summoned a few monsters to deal with whatever appeared from the fissure. This time it was just one S-rank and three A-ranks, so they were no issue.
But as we were clearing up the area, Lua began to feel … off, so I quickly flew to her side.
“What’s going on?” I asked her, as I supported her body. I felt that she was way warmer than she should be, so I was a bit worried.
“... I don’t know.” Lua said. “I scanned myself, but I didn’t notice anything.”
“Laura? Mia? What’s going on?” I asked our System Supports.
(Maria isn’t responding. She went offline.) Laura responded. (The most likely cause is …)
“She is evolving?” I guessed before Laura had the chance to respond. Not like Lua could hear her anyway, since with Mia offline, our System connection is likely offline as well.
“I am?” Lua asked.
“Most likely. Laura said that Mia has gone offline, and the only time System Supports go offline is during level up sleep and evolutions.” I told her. “What level are you?”
“229. … no. 230 now. I leveled up.”
“We need to get you home.”
“But there is still clean up left to do…” Lua said.
“Don’t worry about that.” I told her as I got a teleport slate out of Storage and tossed it on the ground. “I’ll take care of it later.”
I then chanted a teleport spell and teleported the two of us to HomeBase.
I then used my dungeon terminal to teleport us to the MedBay, where Princess Pikeru was on stand-by today.
Yes, the MedBay does nowadays always have one of my healing capable monsters there. Just in case.
So with Pikeru’s help, we quickly set up an evolution tank for Lua, who had fallen asleep now, and I gently placed her inside.
I kept watch over her for the next 30 minutes or so, just in case. Lua is really high leveled, so I’m not sure the evolution tank is correctly set up to handle someone with her level.
Sure I’ve run Factory tests on it, but those can be wrong. And it seems like that is the case this time as well. Luckily in the wrong direction for us. … or would it be the right direction?
The Factory tests had shown me that someone with a level between 200 and 250 should have a healing liquid potency of 60%, but it seems like that is just a bit too much. The correct number for Lua is likely more like 57%.
In comparison, a level 50 evolution should have around 31%.
We corrected the liquid and Lua’s vitals got as good as they can get, so I left her in Pikeru’s care. I still had the clean up to do. So I teleported to the slate I left, cleaned up the rest of the battle scars from the land, collected the slate and teleported back to HomeBase.
Oh, and since I did deal with a fissure, I naturally got a new set. .
So I sat down in the MedBay, just so I could keep an eye on Lua. No, not in a creepy way. I just want to, okay. … okay, maybe it is a little creepy, but we are engaged, so it isn’t that bad.
So I don’t need to defend myself. My excuse is that I don’t have one. Get your own dhampir princess, because this one is mine.
But I think that is enough of me being overly possessive. … fuck, I really am turning into a dragon. Well, whatever. Let’s get to some packs. New set means 10 packs. Let’s do this.
Alright. Sealing Ceremony of Katon is just ‘banish a Fire monster to banish a card from the opponent's GY.’ Not terrible, but I have better cards for that.
Darklon makes all monsters you control gain a level and be treated as Dark monsters for the turn. Honestly a great effect. I’m just not quite sure what decks you’d use that effect in.
Armor Ninjitsu Art of Freezing is a combination of Negate Attack and some card that prevents battle position changing. It isn’t bad, but I’m not sure if I’ll ever use it.
Masked Ninja Ebisu can return spell/traps to your opponent’s hand. Which isn’t that amazing.
Kurivolt just summons more Kurivolts from the deck if you detach an Xyz material from an Xyz monster. But you still need to get both Kurivolt and and Xyz monster to your field, and all you are getting is level 1 monsters that can’t be used as Synchro material.
Splash Capture is great if you are playing a Water deck against someone who uses Xyz monsters. But it is useless for me.
Zenmailstrom trades 1 Wind-Up monster on the field for 1 from your hand and 1 from the deck. So not bad, but still, not a card I need.
Counterforce is stupidly situational, but I think in the real world, it might be busted. Say I attack someone, but cancel my attack. I should be able to use Counterforce to inflict damage equal to the difference in our Strength stats. I think. But then again, I could just attack them instead.
Weights & Zenmaisures just equals the levels of two Wind-Up monsters, and potentially draws you a card. Not bad, but not amazing either.
Next pack.
Photon Crusher has 2k attack, which is nice. But it goes into defense position after attacking, which is less nice. Still a good monster.
Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon has the best worst name in all of Yugioh. Arguably. But the special summon condition is decent and it has good enough stats.
Variable Form seems more like it should be a Field spell, but I suppose it is fine.
Galaxy Storm is fine, but not something I’ll need.
Evoltile Pleuro is great. If it is destroyed in any way, you get to special summon an Evolsaur from the deck.
Evolsaur Terias is stupid. Why does it lose attack when special summoned by the effect of an Evoltile monster? Isn’t that what the Evoltile/Evolsaur deck is supposed to do?
Degen-Force is Evoltile support without using the name. It is okay-ish.
And Gagagabolt is great. Just target a card and destroy it. Sure you have to control a Gagaga, but that is not a bad condition.
Next pack.
Full-Force Strike is kind of cool, and would likely be a good install card.
Air Armor Ninja just reduces the level of another Ninja by 1.
Xyz Burst destroys all set cards your opponent controls, if you control a rank 6 or higher monster. Pretty nice.
Vampiric Koala I already had thanks to the Cure Dhampir missions, but nice to have it pulled from a set.
Danipon is fine, but it is slow.
And ZW - Unicorn Spear is fricking overpowered. The 1900 attack boost is already nice, but it also negates the effects of the monster the equipped monster attacks. I need to see if I can install Unicorn Spear into Star Spear Aries, because that might make Aries OP. And if that doesn’t work, maybe ZW - Unicorn Spear can train Aries.
Next pack.
Inzektor Giga-Weevil is interesting. An equip monster that boosts defense. And if it is sent to the GY while equipped to a monster, you get to Monster Reborn an Inzektor. Not bad.
Star Light, Star Bright is just a situational level equalizer. Not bad, but not that useful either.
Koalo-Koala is just ‘discard a Beast to target and destroy a card’. That’s pretty good.
Chow Len the Prophet sucks. It can prevent the activation of a spell or trap. For 1 turn. Not worth.
Evo-Force is fine enough, but you are still going -1.
And White Night Queen really should have higher stats. 2100 on a level 7 that cannot be special summoned just isn’t enough.
Next pack.
Dark Mambele is a situational banish 1 card. Not bad, but situational.
Shocktopus reduces the attack of the monster that destroyed it to 0. Which is pretty cool.
Photon Trident is a decent attack boost, gives piercing, and you get to destroy a spell/trap. All great effects. And it is most likely a good install card.
Primordial Soup is a tool against Garnets. Fine enough, but nothing special.
Evolzar Solda is nice. Good stats, can’t be destroyed by card effects and can negate summons.
And Inzektor Orb is fine. The attack and defense boost is okay, and negating a targeting effect can be really good.
Next pack.
The Huge Revolution is Over is an arguably worse Starlight Road. But admittedly I don’t have Starlight Road, so it is good to have. I wonder what tin or deck Starlight Road is in? Because I’m pretty sure it was released in the late Synchro era.
Upstart Golden Ninja is great. Specials more Ninjas from the deck.
Inzektor Ant is fine. It is about as basic as Inzektors come.
And Galaxy Wave is just a burn card.
Next pack.
Inzektor Centipede is fine.
Numen erat Testudo limits me more than anyone else.
Familiar-Possessed - Dharc isn’t bad, and I’ll give a copy to Unika.
And Over Capacity is very situational. It can be super powerful, or it might not do much at all.
Next pack.
Double Defender is just a Negate Attack, but it doesn’t end the battle phase.
Divine Dragon Apocralyph returns Dragons from the GY to hand. Nice, but nothing special.
Next pack.
Photon Leo is okay. I do wonder what its effect will do in the real world? In the TCG, it shuffles the opponent’s hand into the deck and then they draw the same number of cards. So what would that do?
Also, already got the ultimate rare version of Evolzar Solda, but the ultra rare is technically new.
Next, and last, pack.
Flame Armor Ninja is good. When summoned it increases the level of a different Ninja you control. Definitely better than Air.
Evo-Branch lets you trade a Reptile monster for an Evoltile. Not amazing, as you are probably tributing an Evoltile in the first place.
Wind-Up Honeybee is cute and is a battle recruiter, so it is good.
And Evo-Instant is fine. Just tribute a Reptile to summon an Evolsaur.
But yeah. That was the first Order of Chaos opening. Not too bad, I did get 3 higher rarity cards. Sure 2 of them were just different rarities of the same card, but still.
Now all I gotta do is wait for Lua to finish her evolution and things will be back to normal. Hopefully.
What do you think?
