CH.590 New Races and Skills
Naturally I wanted to find out why Gojira went crazy, while Mothra didn’t, so that was the next thing on my agenda.
But honestly, it was pretty simple. It was the miasma overload.
Unlike humans, or people who carry the System, monsters have no resistance against miasma. And monsters evolve when exposed to a high enough amount of mana and miasma.
So with Ultra Evolution Pill forcing Gojira to evolve anywhere between 5 and 7 times in one go, his everything was just overloaded with miasma.
That caused a ton of pain and made Gojira go crazy and attack anything in a panic. In this case, me. And our taming bond snapped because the miasma disrupted the exchange of mana between Gojira and I that is needed for the bond. And that just made things even worse.
After the bond broke, Gojira had nothing holding him back and he just went crazy because of the miasma.
Now Mothra was different. She experienced a similar increase in miasma as Gojira, but while Gojira evolved in a matter of minutes, it took Mothra over a week to evolve. So she didn’t suffer the miasma overload.
So what did we learn? Don’t try to evolve things too quickly. Give them the time they need to evolve.
The first thing I decided to fix was the Ultra Evolution Pill. It was actually an easy fix. I just combined it with Miracle Jurassic Egg, creating the custom card Miracle Evolution Egg.
It, when activated, would incase a Reptile-type monster in an egg, and it would slowly evolve within the egg. I did a Factory test with it, and it took 10 days for the egg to hatch. Well, it actually only took a little under 2 ‘real life’ days, since the Factory is now running at 5.2 times the real life speed. But if I used it in real life, it should take 10-ish days.
It resulted in similar evolution results no matter what monster was used as a base. I tested a Factory copy of both Gojira and Aoi Koiru. OG. F-rank common snake Aoi Koiru. Both of them came out of the egg as an A-rank monster. The evolution time was just a bit different. An E-rank took less time in the egg than a F-rank.
I then made some more Factory copies of monsters. Higher ranked ones at that. C and B-rank insect monsters that I placed inside the Cocoon of Evolution. And C and B-rank reptile monsters that I used Miracle Evolution Egg on.
All of them came out of the eggs being A-rank monsters. So it seems like Miracle Evolution Egg and Cocoon of Evolution both produce A-rank monsters, no matter what monster is put inside. Though the evolution time was shorter with higher ranked monsters, and longer with lower ranked monsters.
The last test I ran with the two was trying to put an A-rank monster inside the Egg/Cocoon. But they just instantly broke out and didn’t evolve any further.
Next up, continuing with my monsters, I decided to do some reverse unions to unlock new races. Hopefully.
I started with Mothra and turned into a Butterfly-kin. It is a rare evolution of Insect-kin, but I guess not so rare when you can cheat the System. And it didn’t even stop there, because Mothra is a Giant Rainbow Butterfly. So I actually became a Rainbow Butterfly-kin.
As a Butterfly-kin, I had some chitin on my skin, I had antennae coming out of my head, and I naturally had a huge pair of rainbow colored butterfly wings coming out of my back. My feet were also a bit different, but not by much. And I had compound eyes, which was a bit strange, but not as strange as having 8 eyes. The rainbow part didn’t add much, my wings were just rainbow colored and super shiny. As a regular Butterfly-kin, they are just a vibrant green with those ‘eye-looking’ patterns in dark red. I think the wings took after my eye color. For those who don’t remember, my eyes are naturally green, but after I began keeping Heterochromic always on, I turned my left eye red.
I then tested a reverse union with Aoi Koiru, hoping it would get me the Lamia race, but I instead just became a Snake-folk. It is basically the same as Lizard-folk, but the scales are a bit different. But it did get me the Temperature Fluctuation Resistance skill, so not completely worthless.
Next up was Glad. I’ve never actually done a reverse union with him, mainly because Glad is … difficult. He actually got a bit better after his recent Rank-Up into a dark-wing hippogriff, but he was still the most difficult of my tamed monsters to work with. And that includes Mothra.
After a reverse union with Glad, I was a Tengu. An evolved bird-folk, and the same race Kiara Hunter, the knight captain of Oroco City, is. A Tengu is basically a human with wings and talons instead of regular feet, so I found it interesting that Glad, a hippogriff, gave me that race. But it isn’t a bad race, even if I didn’t get a new racial skill because of it.
I also did one with Rani, but I didn’t get anything new out of it.
… Then there was Himeśaila. She hasn’t agreed to do one previously, but with her new evolution, she agreed to do a reverse union, so we did it.
I wasn’t sure what I expected with her, but what I got was a Modifier Race called Draconic. Yes, the same one that Ria got after Agunan’s Dragon Scale Blessing. I didn’t realize it was a Modifier Race, and I have to say, I really like having it. Modifier Races are the best.
I also got a race called Prism-Ice Being. It is a Special Race that basically turns my body into ice. It also gave me access to a racial Prism-Ice Magic skill, despite the fact that I really shouldn’t be able to use Ice Magic. But I guess Prism-Ice Magic isn’t Ice Magic.

Oh. Magic-Swordsman is a new Class-Race I got after Mana Blade reached level 5. It also needs Sword Technique at level 5 or above, but I already had that.
I then tested out my new Modifier Races with some of the other races I have. Draconic was really good with Lizard and Snake-folk, as it reinforced the scales really nicely. But it was still by far the best with Dragon Hearted. In fact, having my entire Dragon race line-up active at the same time was really crazy, and I almost became a dragon. … okay, not quite, but it really supercharged my Draconic skills.
Compound Eyes naturally worked well with the Insect races. But don’t use it with Multi-Eyes. It causes way too much information to come in and honestly caused me to have a headache. And I’m level 255 with crazy high stats. If someone with a lower level attempted that … Well, it would be worse for them.
Shining Wings is the skill I got with the Rainbow Butterfly-kin race. It allows for the absorption and release of light through wings. Absorbed light can be turned into healing energy or mana. And released light can be turned into basic Light Magic spells, as well as general healing power, similar to Ria’s Holy Dragon’s Wings skill. And I don’t actually have to absorb the light, as mana can be turned into light energy.
And yes, I can absorb weak Light Magic spells with the wings. The definition of ‘weak’ depending on my Defense stat. And since mine is over 11 thousand, I can absorb some very powerful spells.
Shining Wings is a powerful skill, as fitting the fact that it is locked to a super rare race.
So in a way, between Prism-Ice Magic and Shining Wings, I just got access, or at least easier access, to both Ice and Light Magic.
What do you think?
