Volume 13 Chapter 33: New Workers

Volume 13 Chapter 33: New Workers

Keith rolled his cart into the area. However, there was something different today. There was a second cart rolling behind him. It was difficult to not notice because a beautiful woman was pushing this one. Dalen was the first to question, "Keith, who's that with you?"

“Ahh, this is Nephele; she will be my worker starting forward.”

"Mmhmm! I'm going to be working here as well!" Nephele smiled. The first move was set; her smile definitely shook the male customers' hearts. He could see it on their cheeks.

The group slowly set up the carts. The customer's eyes locked onto the second cart; what it sold made them curious. What it showed brightened their days.

"Yay! We got ourselves the crepes back! I’ve been missing them!” They were cheering all and all about the new thing. While that happened, Carolyn nudged Alfia,

“Are you sure this is okay?”

Hearing what he had planned made the others dazed. It was because it was Nephele! This woman was the most lively and crazy of the three great spirits.

She was going to run the second cart?! Everyone thought it was a one-way ticket to catastrophe!

Behind this was another issue: she was the great spirit of wind! Was it really okay for them to allow this?! This was especially so with the elves.

Alfia held her head, “At this point, I’ve given up on all reasoning with Keith.” From the start, she was beyond shocked by this idea. And that was because WHO TREATS A WALKING CALAMITY AS A CHEF!

No one would want something like that! The elves probably didn't understand who she was because of the amulet she wore. It masked her powers.

"Plus, we can't let her keep breaking things." There was something everyone realized; the great spirit of wind broke plates and other items in the mansion daily. Keith had to have backups for it all.

Kaiser, Cedric, and Dalen stepped up, “And we’ll be the standard checkers!” This was needed. Even though she got the seal of approval from Keith, that didn't mean so for the customers. She needed to show through her skills.

Nephele nodded, "Sure, let me whip something up." My first customers, I have to knock their socks off!" She slowly cooked the crepe and the fillings. Seeing her work, the customers nodded. Technique was there.

“Taste good.” "Indeed.” "It's similar to Keith."

Hearing their words, customers started to order from her while Keith was on the grill.

"Boss, you're adding more workers?" Besides Nephele with the second cart, there were two extra helpers. But it was not the usual people: it was Muriel and Lucy.

"Mmhmm, I hired two extra workers." For Lucy, she said she wanted to help out and get some coins out of this. For Muriel, I think it was to get close to her as well. Either way, he was not going to say no to extra help. With the second cart, more servers were needed.

“Understood, you have 2 crepes and also pork soup.” Carolyn couldn’t help but smile, “Lucy, you’re such a natural.” She was quickly taking customer orders.

Lucy scratched her head, “My mother runs a store, and I tend to help out in front of the counter.” She was experienced.

“I see.” Carolyn and the others nodded since they had to do something like that. But while they continued to do so, “You’re back.” That was when he noticed the little fox waddling over to him.

Keith didn't ask or say anything, so he made a bench and placed the food down. She started to eat like there was nothing wrong.

While the fox girl continued to munch on some skewers, Lei and Mir sat beside her as they ate some grilled corn. The fox saw it and tilted her head. Keith as he chuckled, “Here, you like it as well.” A grilled corn was placed down for her, and the three started to nibble like chipmunks.

But as they did, “Keith! What about me?!”

Nephele was in tears at how those freebies went to them. Keith rolled his eyes, "Get to work. I'll give you your shares later."

“Understood!” Instant change. Hearing how there was food for her, she worked double time.

Nephele took a deep huff, “Wow, is this what you have to go through daily?”

“What do you mean? Of course.” You were the one who came with me. While Aria was on the watch with all of this, she was also there with him. She saw what was going on.

However, seeing and being in the action were quite different.

“How was it?” “Incredible!” Nephele smiled brightly, “Is this what always happens when you cook?” “Mmhmm, so you think you can do it all the time while I’m away?”

“What?” Carolyn and the other girls tilted their heads when they heard that.

"I'm going to be exploring dungeons more often. So having someone her to man a cart will be helpful." This had been on his mind for quite some time: once he had a helper, it would give him more leeway.

Nephele fit the bill quite nicely.

“Don’t worry about it, I will do it!” The great spirit of wind was quite happy with all of this. Keith nodded, “Good.” You really don’t want to do the dishes. The difference between the two was uncanny.

Keith turned to Carolyn and the rest, “I’m going to leave you guys to help her out. Is that fine?”

“Of course.” “You don’t need to worry about anything. If she does eat, then we’ll stop her.”

“Do I look so unreliable?” Nephele scratched her head when she saw that. But Keith shook his head, “You’re really unreliable.”
