Volume 13 Chapter 43: Make Sure To Take Care Of Yourself

“For the cowtaur?”

”Hmm? How do you know?”

“That’s because a couple of people were screaming about how, late at night, a person had brought back a giant cow. There are only a few idiots who would do that.” Not many people were crazy enough to do this. When it came to a cow, that lowered the number of people even more. Skar and the other dwarves understood who was daring enough to do it. Regarding food, he was the first option.

“Ahaha,” Keith laughed, “Well, yeah. Going to need some materials.”

“Here,”

Arlo then looked at some wood, “Keith, can we make a sign for her too?” He wanted to make Gala feel welcome as much as possible. From what Keith said, she lived a lonely life.

“Sure.” As the two returned home, he noticed her. “Ahh, you’re here?” Keith was surprised to see the fox girl who was following behind them. Hearing his words, the fox girl jolted before tripping.

“You okay?” Keith walked over and started to rub her head, and that was when he noticed the little bruise on her knees.

“Arlo, can you bring the stuff back home?”

“On it.” Arlo nodded. Keith held the child's hand and brought her over to a bench. He used his magic to clean her wounds. He consoled the child, “You should be careful as you walk, or you’ll get hurt.”

“…” The fox girl was silent. Keith looked slightly weary as he took out some bandages and ointment, "This is going to sting, little one."

"..."

Keith slowly placed the ointment on her bruises before he wrapped them up. Before he could say anything, only one sound resounded the area.

Grrrrrrr.

“…” Keith chuckled, “Guess you’re hungry. How about we get something to eat?” He brought the child to the bakery.

The clerk quickly greeted, “Good morning, Big Boss!”

“Mmhmm.” Keith nodded. He turned to the fox, who was drooling, “Pick what you like.” The girl didn’t say anything but only stood there.

“…” Guess I will pick. Keith then pointed out some of the more interesting ones. Afterward, “I’ll get some pudding as well.”

“Understood.” The clerk quickly handed everything over. The two sat on the bench where Keith was about to hand the bread; however, he noticed how she eyed the pudding.

“Here.” He handed it over to the girl, and she started to eat. Finishing the pudding, bread was handed over next.

“You know, you could have asked the pretty woman for more food.”  Nephele and the rest of the ladies informed him. The fox girl would check to see if he was there, but when she didn't see him, she would leave or not get close.

“…Close.” A little cheeky voice sounded.

That only caused Keith to laugh, “I see.”

After she finished her pudding, she stared at the bag for a few seconds, “Take it all; you don’t have to worry about it.” Keith brought out a giant cloth, “It’s chilly this season, so sleep with this.” Her arms and feet were cold to the touch.

"And take this." He handed her the ointment as he rubbed her head, "Be more careful." The fox quickly scampered off.

"..." He watched her until she was out of sight before he returned home.

That was when he spotted everyone giving Gala and Eldi a bath.

“You guys are really pampering her.”

“Of course!” “Eldi is just bad at baths.” The flame bird hated it and didn’t want to be near water. Keith shook his head as he turned to Diana, “Diana, if you please, can you make wood like this?” The only thing she needed to do was to make the house out of wood.

“Understood.” Slowly, the wood from the ground appeared and made into the shape of a small house. Keith turned to Arlo, “Ready?” “Mmmhmm!” The two started to build the new barn house for her. After some time, it came out pretty cute. Keith and the others nodded, “Amazing!”

“A hay bed for you as well.” Keith grinned as he watched, “Eldi can come into your home whenever you want!” There was a door on the side for the bird to enter.

Late at night, the little fox girl was hiding inside a box. She was munching on the bread that she had obtained. As she continued to eat, that was when she slowly snuggled into the blanket. Despite the slowly cold day, there was a warmness she felt as she snuggled into the blanket.
