Baby Serendipity: The Whole World Fell In Love With Me

Chapter 24 - 24 23 The Words of Children Cannot be Taken

Chapter 24: Chapter 23: The Words of Children Cannot be Taken Seriously Chapter 24: Chapter 23: The Words of Children Cannot be Taken Seriously “We’ve been abandoned here?” Su Chenfei was the first to voice his doubts, “Wasn’t it last time that we were given the task only after we arrived at the location?”

Previously on “Adorable Baby”, the first season, the guests would arrive directly at the shooting location by car before being presented with a challenging task. The guests had anticipated there would be tricks with the meal and were prepared, but who could have expected to be ‘unloaded’ before even reaching the destination?

Qin Tao seemed very calm, “No problem, we have a map, so we can just find our way there.”

As he spoke, he unfolded the map, and the camera immediately gave the map a close-up.

Upon opening the high-quality piece of paper, the contents were only as big as an adult’s palm. The lines inside were crooked, and the road was filled with stick figures and arrows, clearly the doodles of a child.

This map, who could understand it?

But, as incomprehensible as it may be, they still had to try and figure it out. Otherwise, what would they do today, sleep on the streets?

The adults carefully studied the map and discussed it at length but couldn’t make heads or tails of it.

Mianmian noticed her seventh grandchild frowning and looking worried, so she tugged at his sleeve, “What’s wrong, seventh grandchild? Tell Mianmian what’s bothering you, and Mianmian will help you.”

Hearing this, Su Chenfei squatted down and showed Mianmian the map, “Your little nephew gave us a map, and we need to find the location for filming the program by ourselves, but we can’t understand this map.”

Mianmian took the map and held it in her hands, her little fingers tracing over it.

“I know now!” Her eyes shone bright, “Seventh grandchild, I know how to get there.”

It was mid-July, with the sun growing stronger. Standing at the entrance to the market for a while, everyone was sweating. Hearing Mianmian say she knew the way, everyone’s gaze fell on her.

Liu Hui also squatted down and asked Mianmian, “Does our little auntie know the way now?”

Mianmian nodded vigorously, “We go from here, to here, and then here, and we’ll reach the end.”

The locations she pointed to were all very peculiar.

Upon seeing this, Qin Tao spoke gently, “We can’t take the word of a child seriously. We should still figure it out on our own.”

Su Chenfei saw his good brother didn’t trust his magical little auntie and quickly spoke up for her, “Qin Tao, I don’t know about other kids, but when my little auntie says she understands the map, it means she does. Let’s just follow the little auntie.”

Qin Tao smiled and shook his head, “My brother is not in good health and can’t stand the heat. I can see there are a lot of arrows on this, probably pointing in the direction of the filming location, and Director Hu’s trike went that way too. I’ve decided to follow my own judgement. What about you guys?”

The last sentence was addressed to the other guests.

Xu Weiwei responded without hesitation, “Since you seem sure, Qin Tao, then I’ll take Zeze and follow you.”

Adults were considered more reliable.

Liu Hui took Gu Youyou’s hand, “We’ll follow Mianmian.”

Everyone looked towards the non-celebrity guest Chu Qi.

Chu Qi, however, looked down and gazed thoughtfully at his son next to him, “What do you think?”

Chu Ye glanced at the map, then quietly moved to Mianmian’s side, clearly indicating he wanted to follow Mianmian.

The guests quickly split into two groups.

Qin Tao thought to himself: These people all want to follow Su Chenfei, who is sure to lead them astray, nowhere near the destination. He just had to wait and watch.

No wonder they didn’t encounter any troubles along the way; it turned out the luck absorbed by the little devil was waiting to come into play here.

Ha, ha, ha, he just had to wait for Su Chenfei to lead these people around without finding the way.

Qin Tao led his group in the direction he was convinced of, causing the live-stream to split screen once again.

Su Chenfei was helpless as his good brother didn’t want to trust his own auntie. He could only watch Qin Tao leave, then picked up Mianmian, “Which way do we go?”

Mianmian pointed towards the market, “Over there, over there.”

It was the end of July, and the weather was hot. Just standing for a while had everyone sweating.

Su Chenfei held Mianmian and walked into the market.

Children brought up in the city had never seen such a place and looked around curiously. Gu Youyou suddenly pointed at a stall selling chickens, ducks, and geese, whispering that she wanted to have a look.

Liu Hui rarely heard her daughter express a wish so actively, kissed her daughter, and set her on the ground.

“Mianmian, look, so many chicks!” Gu Youyou called Mianmian over to see together.

Mianmian squatted down with Gu Youyou to look at the chicks. The fluffy chicks huddled together peeping and when Mianmian came closer, they all surged towards her, stepping over one another as if they wanted to come to Mianmian’s side.

Mianmian hurriedly stretched out her hand and caught one that had successfully made its way outside of the basket.

“Wow,” Gu Youyou exclaimed in amazement, her little mouth wide open, admiring Mianmian, “I, I also want to touch the chick, is that okay?”

Mianmian nodded her head: “Sure, go ahead and touch it.”

The two adorable human toddlers gazed at the chick with wide eyes, their cute faces bearing simple smiles. This scene was incredibly healing amidst the bustling Vegetable Market.

[Get closer to take the shot, I need to screenshot this for my screen saver.]
[Aww, high-quality human toddlers, too cute.]
The two little ones played with the chicks for a while before politely putting them back. Still, the chicks kept hopping out, wanting to follow Mianmian.

The old man selling the chicks saw this and simply said: “Little kids, since the chicks like you so much, I’ll give you two.”

He grabbed the two chicks on top and handed them over.

Gu Youyou’s face lit up with joy, about to hold the chicks in her hands.

Liu Hui stopped her daughter: “Youyou, we don’t have anything on us right now, and it wouldn’t be right to take Grandpa’s chicks for nothing. Plus, chicks are living creatures. We’re filming a show and might not be able to take good care of them.”

Liu Hui squatted down to reason with Gu Youyou.

Gu Youyou nodded while looking longingly at the chicks. She had never had a pet before and her grandmother wouldn’t even let her play with the neighbor’s dog, so deep down, she really wanted the chicks.

Mianmian, sensing Gu Youyou’s longing for the chicks, patted Liu Hui on the shoulder like an elder: “It’s okay, Mianmian knows how to take care of the chicks.”

She took the chicks and placed them in Gu Youyou’s arms, then reached into her small bag to give the old man a return gift.

Digging and digging, she pulled out a round, paper-wrapped Qiuqiu.

“Grandpa, this medicine is my return gift to you for the chicks. If you feel unwell, take it,” Mianmian said earnestly, her little face very serious.

The old man selling the chicks was taken aback for a moment, not expecting a return gift.

Upon seeing this group of adults and children, who were dressed differently from the locals, he knew they were the city people the village chief had mentioned were coming to film a Variety Show.

He heard that during filming, the stars would have all their money and phones taken away, so they couldn’t use money to buy things.

Without money, they naturally couldn’t buy the chicks.

If the two little girls hadn’t been so cute, he wouldn’t have given them away. But what exactly was this return gift for?

The elderly man looked at it again and decided to accept it: “Thank you, little one.”

After all, it was a child’s good intention, and perhaps it was candy? There was no harm in keeping it.

After giving the return gift, Mianmian turned and walked back to Gu Youyou.

Gu Youyou held the two chicks, looking troubled: “Mianmian, what should we do with the chicks? We have no place to put them.”

Indeed, everyone had empty hands and nowhere to put the chicks. If they put them in their pockets or elsewhere, the chicks might suffocate to death.

As the two toddlers were feeling distressed, a pair of colorful paper baskets suddenly appeared beside them. The baskets had handles and were handcrafted trinkets.

It was Chu Ye, an amateur guest.

The little boy, who stood a head taller than the two girls, handed over the baskets with a cool face and stood there without saying a word.

Mianmian smiled warmly: “Thank you, big brother, you’re so kind.”

Su Chenfei fumed on the side.

He just knew this boy named Chu Ye, who had suddenly run off to get those flyers, was up to something. So, he made paper baskets for Little Auntie to use.

Why hadn’t he thought of that?

If he had, he surely could have scored another kiss from Little Auntie, making his Family jealous.

Now, to make matters worse, there was another Grandfather!

Su Chenfei glared at Chu Ye, who raised his eyebrow in a look that said: I’m above squabbling with you.

It frustrated Su Chenfei to the point of almost jumping up and down. Was this kid doing it on purpose?
