Broken Possessors of Infinite Regression Academy

Chapter 290

The gate, now devoid of its core, didn’t last long. The golden light that had spread throughout collapsed back into the gate, as if someone had pressed a rewind button, and then it crumbled into nothingness.

"That’s it. It’s finally over."

"Time won’t be tampered with anymore," said the Celestial and the Demon God, gracefully handling the last steps of their work. With their job done, we returned to the empty academy with Aria in tow.

Aria hadn’t spoken a single word the entire time. Leona was similarly silent, as were the others. Everyone here had been involved in one way or another, so nobody seemed eager to break the silence.

"…Ugh!"

Leona occasionally let out odd sounds of embarrassment. She kept remembering how she’d frantically pleaded with me to save Aria, completely oblivious to the fact that extracting the core would make everything alright. Feeling second-hand embarrassment was natural, so everyone pretended not to notice.

"Finally, it’s all over."

Even after we reached the clubroom, Leona tried to slip away to be alone, but Ellicier and Latina stopped her, making her sit down. I quietly muttered to myself as I observed the scene.

No one thought my words were strange. It really was all over. No more interference from time, and nothing else left to start. It was truly the end.

"…."

Aria sat in the middle of the room, kneeling with her head bowed, hugging herself.@@novelbin@@
