Chapter 339 Pure skill.
Melissa was busy talking on the phone after the news spread about her becoming the Vice-President. She was tired of hearing the same words and had to give the same reply to dozens of people for the past hour. She was so overwhelmed that she couldn't make a phone call to Elestria and she might get busy from now on.
"Zach are you coming with me to the Faelethria..." Melissa paused and was baffled when she entered the gym in Aston's mansion and saw Zachary get knocked out by Aston.
Aston was covered in sweat as he fell to his knees with bruises all over his face. Although he was in that condition, he didn't look tired or in pain, and what made it even more amazing was that he didn't take the sparring seriously.
Zachary opened his eyes as he jolted from the ground because he realized he had been knocked out. He was confused at first but then remembered what happened when Aston took his punch right in the face as Aston did the same thing to him. He never thought he could lose, especially since he had high tolerance and resistance, not to mention his strength was deadly to other human beings.
"I was so sure that I would kill you on that punch, but to think you regained consciousness this fast, you're a beast," Aston said as he walked to the corner of the ring and leaned his back against it.
"Said the guy who didn't take the fight seriously. You were testing my strength and took them all like they were nothing," Zachary staggered to stand up but he managed to stand on his feet. "I don't know what kind of ability you possess, but I believe you're the strongest Gifted," he pointed out as he looked at Melissa who was watching them from the door.
"It's given because the Gods chose me and told me the same thing," Aston answered as he unwrapped the hand wrapper on his hands.
"Don't get me wrong, but you might be the strongest in terms of strength, but only in Verdentia and Dystrovia," Zachary smiled under his mask so that Aston could see the shape of his mouth. "I don't think you're the strongest in the world," he added as he glanced at Aston.
Aston raised his eyebrows as he watched Zachary walk down the arena to approach Melissa. He wondered who might be the strongest and the fact Zachary didn't include the Faelethria Kingdom, meant someone was stronger than him. He was curious and jumped down from the arena to ask Zachary who was the strongest.
"Who is it? The strongest person that you acknowledge?" Aston asked as she interrupted Melissa and Zachary's conversation.
"You're in luck," Melissa looked at Aston. "It's time for you to meet him in person, so get ready because we are leaving in half an hour," she added.
Aston smirked with a thrilled expression to meet the person that both Zachary and Melissa acknowledged as the strongest. He then hurriedly left the gym to wash himself and change his outfit. He didn't want to ask who the man was because he would be seeing him in person, so he kept his excitement and questions until he tested it himself when he met the man.
Melissa, Zachary, and Aston entered the Imperial area and it made Aston quite amazed by how extravagant and massive the area was. He wondered if he spent the rest of his life, fighting in the ring would be enough to copy half of the area with the money he earned.
Aston had only seen Elestria from the screen, and when he saw her sitting on her throne in her purple long dress, it bewitched him. He never thought a queen would be that sexy and alluring, but the fact she was the most dangerous figure in the world, made him stop prying on it.
"Greetings, Her Majesty. The reason for my visit is I have something to talk about," Melissa said with one of her knees on the ground.
"We can talk privately in my office. Come," Elestria stood up and walked down the stairs as she looked at Aston who showed his pink aura around him. The aura of lust, indecency toward her, the aura that she always saw in men whenever they saw her or spoke to her, except Mykel.
"Your Majesty, may I ask where Sir Alester is? And it's rare not to see Lady Elysande by your side," Melissa looked around and didn't see Elysande in the room.
"She's currently living in the King's palace and Mykel is right now in there as well with the children," Elestria answered. "Is that why you brought him here? They both can go there and I'll inform the maid about your visit to them," she added.
Melissa bowed her head and then turned around to look at Zachary as she nodded her head. She then followed Elysande to her office as Zachary and Aston stayed in the waiting room until they were allowed to enter the King's palace.
The maid came and escorted those two to the King's palace and they met Mykel who was in the garden with the children and Elysande. Once again, Aston couldn't help but look at how alluring Elysande's body's proportions were. Her long hair, her smile, her eyes, everything that she had, they were something that any man would die for.
"You came earlier than I thought," Mykel said as he walked toward Zachary.
"It appears Lady Melissa wants to tell Her Majesty personally," Zachary answered.
Elysande overheard the conversation and wondered what it was so she decided to join in.
"Did something happen?" Elysande asked Zachary.@@novelbin@@
"It would be inappropriate for me to tell you. I believe it would be better if Lady Melissa herself told you about it. She's currently with Her Majesty in her office, My Lady," Zachary bowed his head to show respect.
Aston was wondering about the man who stood beside Elysande because he had never seen him before. He was also curious why Elysande seemed close to him like it wasn't normal for an ordinary man to be living with the royal family.
"Then I'll go and see them. Would it be okay for you to entertain them?" Elysande asked Mykel as she put her hand on his wrist.
"Yes, My Lady," Mykel nodded his head.
Elysande left as Jessie and Henry played with the maids in the garden.
"A new recruit?" Mykel asked as he stared at Aston.
"Yes, his name is Aston Willis. He's built differently and he's here because he's curious about the person who's the strongest in the Faelethria Kingdom," Zachary answered.
"Is that so? The one and only living legend to hold the world champion for years. I wonder if he's here just to see me or wants to put his fists on my face," Mykel said and kept his eyes on Aston.
"Both... I want both," Aston said with a smug on his face.
"Follow me then," Mykel scoffed as he walked past them.
Aston arrived at the training ground for the Zero-Tier Gifted and saw complete equipment for training. It was a sight to see and he thought he should make his gym look like this as soon as he got back to his place. He was so focused on the equipment that he didn't notice Mykel was already in the ring. "I don't have much time. So get over here and see what you're made of," Mykel rolled his sleeves and removed his tie and suit.
Aston walked into the arena as he removed his suit and tie, and then he went to the other corner and readied his stance. His eyes and body were focused on the fight and his personality and aura changed drastically the moment he entered the ring. Mykel could see that Aston was the real deal, and it had been a while since he had seen an opponent like that, especially in the ring.
"I guess I'll be the referee here," Zachary entered the ring and looked at both of them in different corners.
Aston dashed forward at full speed and the moment he was in range, he stopped completely and started throwing a right hook at Mykel. His fist was dodged by a simple move where Mykel leaned his head back with his nose barely touching the fist. That move alone was enough to judge Mykel that he knew his body and that a simple move was enough to dodge it.
Aston threw different combos of punches and kicks at Mykel, but all of them were dodged like they were baby punches and kicks. He had never seen someone who was so calm when fighting him especially when each attack he threw would be enough to knock his opponent out.
The moment Aston was about to throw a straight punch at Mykel, Mykel already took a side step to the left at the same time as Aston's arm was stretched. He knew that he couldn't dodge it the moment he saw Mykel's left fist clenched and pointed at his right ribs.
Mykel threw a left hook right into Aston's ribs so hard that it was so painful that he couldn't breathe for a moment. When Aston thought he could withstand that punch, he noticed a right knee that was coming up to his chin. He didn't see it coming and all he could do was grit his teeth and close his eyes.
Mykel kneed Aston's chin as he was floating in the air, and then he spun around and he lifted his left leg up in the air in front of his face. He looked at Aston's face which was wide open and facing the ceiling. He threw an axe kick down with his heel right on Aston's face as he pushed Aston's whole body back down to the ground.
Aston collapsed and got knocked out with those three attacks alone whereas Zachary needed dozens of hits, yet it wasn't enough to beat Aston.
"Is it done?" Aevia asked as she looked at Aston's face.
"It's done. You don't need to seal my power anymore," Mykel answered as he walked out of the ring.
What do you think?
