Chapter 133
Gyanal was running through the halls of the imperial palace, her high heels discarded long ago, her bare feet slapping against the marble floors.
While Airan and Reinhold were engaged in their standoff, Gyanal had used the ensuing chaos to slip away and sprint toward the heart of the palace. With Lowellina’s elite troops fully occupied outside, and even the palace guards rushing to assist Reinhold, it had become a strange and almost absurdly convenient opportunity.
"Linasien!"
Gyanal cried out for her sister with all her might.@@novelbin@@
Despite the fact that they had never been close, and Linasien had often shown her disdain, Gyanal couldn’t bear the thought of losing her last remaining family member after the destruction of the Zramun Archipelago and the death of the Emperor. Even if they had been distant, Gyanal’s gentle nature compelled her to try to save Linasien, who had been brutalized and left in the dark after being beaten by Reinhold.
This was the moment to rescue her and escape.
"Linasien!!"
After running through the massive palace for what felt like an eternity, Gyanal finally spotted her sister in front of the royal treasury. Linasien was furiously pounding on the door with her fists, kicking it with her feet, desperately trying to get it open.
"Sister! We need to go! This is our chance!"
"Let me go!"
Gyanal grabbed Linasien, attempting to pull her away, but the deposed crown princess angrily shook her off, continuing to slam her fists against the door. Gyanal noticed that Linasien’s fingernails were completely torn, her hands bloody. Horrified, Gyanal tried to tear a strip from her dress to bandage the wounds, but Linasien shoved her away again.
"There’s an answer inside… I need to get in…."
"Sister, please!" Gyanal pleaded.
What do you think?
