Chapter 96 Endless
"That's some bullshit…" Feng Shen muttered to himself. "If you die, you should just die!"
He couldn't fathom the need for such childish protection, the thought gnawing at him as he muttered complaints under his breath.
Feng Shen's gaze wandered across the floor, scanning the dim surroundings for the way to the next floor.
After a few moments of searching, his eyes finally landed on it—a staircase nestled in the far corner, almost completely obscured by thick, tangled spiderwebs.
"Hmm~ It seems I can't use Shadow Step here…" Feng Shen remarked with a resigned sigh, casually shrugging his shoulders.
He didn't seem too bothered, though. In fact, a sly grin spread across his face.
Feng Shen knew this meant he could finally unleash his Heavenly Immortal Juggernaut Physique without restraint.
Truth be told, he had grown tired of simply skipping through each floor.
It was dull and repetitive. Now, at last, he could indulge in the action he had been craving.
"I should get moving…" Feng Shne let out a small chuckle.
"Die!"
Suddenly, a voice rang out from behind Feng Shen, breaking the stillness.
Before he could turn, a student from another academy appeared at lightning speed, a spear in hand aimed directly at his neck.
The weapon gleamed with deadly intent, its tip shimmering with the power of pure water.
Yet, Feng Shen didn't flinch.
He remained perfectly still, as though unfazed by the imminent threat.
When the attack finally came, the spear struck—but it was utterly ineffective.
Instead of piercing flesh, the weapon evaporated on contact, the water it was formed from dissipating into steam in an instant, leaving the student stunned and empty-handed:
"I—Impossible!?"
Feng Shen frowned slightly as he slowly glanced over his shoulder. Without hesitation, he began channeling his Qi.
Energy surged through his body like a raging torrent, coiling with purpose.
With practiced precision, Feng Shen directed the flow into his throat, the pressure building to a critical point.
In a flash, he unleashed a concentrated wave of Qi.
It tore through the air with deadly force, striking the student before he could react and "killing" him instantly.
The blast continued onward, smashing into the wall and shattering it in a thunderous explosion.

As the wall began repairing itself, the aftermath of the attack became clear.
Other students, caught in the crossfire, staggered back, their robes scorched and their faces pale with shock.
Silence…
Those on the floor and the crowd outside, watching through the holograms, were left in utter disbelief.
The sheer power displayed by such a young man was beyond anything they could have imagined.
Even the massive spider's attention was drawn to the disturbance, its many glistening eyes locking onto the source.
It let out a guttural, bone-chilling roar that reverberated through the floor, shaking loose dust and debris from the crumbling walls.
Without hesitation, it began to lumber forward, each movement causing the web-laden floor to tremble under its weight.
From the surrounding walls, its offspring began to emerge, dozens upon dozens of smaller spiders skittering down the cobwebs in an unrelenting tide.
They poured out from hidden crevices, their segmented legs clicking ominously as they joined their parent in a synchronized advance.
Snapping out of their shock, the students closest to the spider found themselves overwhelmed in an instant.
"SHIT!"
"FUCK! GET ME OUT OF HERE!"
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!"
The smaller spiders swarmed all these students with terrifying speed, their tiny fangs sinking into flesh as they tore through their prey without mercy.
Screams erupted, sharp and filled with agony, as some were devoured by the swarm, while others were seized by the massive spider itself.
Though death was impossible inside the Tower, the pain was excruciatingly real.
The sound of these students' cries echoed throughout the floor.
It was then did panic spread like wildfire among the remaining students as they realized what was approaching…
Some even, desperate to fight back, began using Fire Law techniques.
Flames erupted from their mouths and hands, scorching the swarming spiders in a blazing inferno.
For a fleeting moment, it seemed as though they had the upper hand, as the smaller spiders were incinerated in bursts of fire.
"Burn, you filthy monsters!"
"How about a truce, just for now!? I'll handle the left. You take the right!"
"Deal!"
"I'll guard the middle—don't let anything through!"
With that, the floor became a frenzy of coordinated chaos, each student locked in their deadly dance as they all began working together.
Feng Shen stood in disbelief, appalled by what he was witnessing. "Are these fuckers really serious?" he muttered, his tone laced with contempt.
This was supposed to be a race—everyone for themselves.
So why were they all working together?
Shouldn't they be sabotaging each other, fighting for dominance?
Feng Shen couldn't stand the sight of it.
The teamwork, the coordination—it disgusted him. With a scoff, he turned away, his patience wearing thin.@@novelbin@@
"Uh~ I just gotta keep moving before I throw up…"
And so, with that Feng Shen began walking forward.
"It seems it's working!"
"Hell yeah! We're pushing these little monsters back!"
"Keep it up, everyone!"
As the students began to feel relaxed…
Such relief was short-lived.
From every crack and crevice, more of the little spiders poured out, a seemingly endless wave that replaced those destroyed.
No matter how much attacks they unleashed, the swarm continued to grow, relentless.
As Feng Shen watched the students being pushed back, step by step, a small smile curled on his lips.
His gaze shifted quickly, locking onto one of the students in the rear.
In a fluid motion, Feng Shen moved behind him, his hands gripping the student's neck with unrelenting force.
With a sharp, brutal twist, the neck snapped, and the body crumpled lifelessly to the ground.
Within moments, the corpse vanished, disintegrating into nothingness.
Nobody noticed…
Besides the crowd outside…
Who were not too happy…
"You call yourself a cultivator? Pathetic!"
"You're no better than a dog cowering before its master!"
"No honor in attacking from behind. Are you too weak to face your opponent?"
"The snake strikes when no one's looking—how fitting for you!"
"No warrior would stoop so low—attacking from the shadows like a common thief!"
Feng Shen wasted no time, his movements swift and lethal.
Again and again, he appeared behind one student after another, his hands snapping their necks with precise, cold efficiency.
Each body hit the ground with a thud, only to vanish moments later.
There was no hesitation, no mercy in Feng Shen's actions—just an unrelenting drive to clear his path.
His eyes remained cold and focused.
Eventually, as the last student fell, the wave of endless spiders grew closer and closer, until it was only a few feet away.
Feng Shen simply continued walking forward, undeterred as the swarm of spiders engulfed him.
Tiny fangs sank into his skin, but no matter how hard the creatures tried to tear him apart, nothing moved.
The spiders' bites had no effect, as Feng Shen's body was impervious to their assault.
His skin remained unscathed, and not a single ounce of pain registered.
Covered entirely by the swarm, Feng Shen pressed on without hesitation, each step as steady as the last.
Seeing this, the crowd erupted into cheers, celebrating what they believed where this bastard died.
They had all thought he was done for, certain that any moment now, he would reset to the 1st floor.
But as the seconds ticked by, and then minutes, the holograms shifted to show the next 1st floor.
Yet the bastard didn't reset.
Nothing happened.
The crowd's cheers faltered, confusion.
It wasn't until Feng Shen began crushing the tiny spiders with his bare hands that he began to show.
With each powerful grip, he shattered their fragile bodies, sending them squirming into oblivion.
Then, with a fierce roar, Feng Shen unleashed Dragon's Roar, a devastating attack that obliterated most of the swarm.
In an unexpected move, he even used the attack on his own body, the shockwave radiating out in all directions, reducing the remaining spiders to nothing but ashes.
The holograms immediately went back to showing Feng Shen.
His upper robe torn to shreds and only his lower half remaining, smiled wildly.
Feng Shen's golden eyes gleamed with madness.
Without a second thought, he charged toward the giant spider, which, in response, lifted its massive tarsus, ready to meet him head-on.
Seconds later…
They met…
The massive tarsus came crashing down.
Feng Shen caught one of the spider's legs with his bare hands.
With a loud laugh, he began to spin the leg with such force that it lifted the giant creature off the ground.
The spider howled in fury, its screech echoing through the entire floor, and soon, a fresh wave of smaller spiders swarmed in.
"Ah~ so that's how you're controlling these little pests…" Feng Shen muttered, a smirk spreading across his face as he finally understood the spider's tactics.
Without hesitation, he swung the massive creature with all his might, hurling it toward the wall.
The spider slammed into the stone with an ear-splitting thud, leaving a deep imprint in the surface where the webs could not hold it.
As the small spiders circled around him, Feng Shen, in an instant, used Shadow Step, vanishing from their sight.
He reappeared beside the giant spider:
"Did you miss me?"
Without a second's hesitation, Feng Shen extended his arm and, with one powerful motion, tore the spider's face off, ripping through its exoskeleton.
The creature let out a strangled, gurgling sound before falling silent, its ability to roar or make any further noise completely severed.
Feng Shen clapped his hands together as he smiled:
"You're actually bearable when you keep quiet."
