Chapter 217 The Rushans Have Taken Master!?

— Meanwhile, in the Ascension Tower of Humanity, where a flying silver trail of light darted through the late-night skies —

Eventually, the silver light trail came to a stop on one of the many mountains in the Himalayas, somewhere in Asia. Once the dust and soot brought up from her crash landing dispersed, Yimin's curious eyes shot all around until they ultimately landed on a woman who could only be described as a modern-day Egyptian Goddess.

Sitting on a high-quality Chinese-style chair, Hellion leisurely sipped on a cup of green herbal tea. She was perusing an article describing what happened at the Antarctic earlier that day; however, once a small explosion occurred right next to her, she looked up. Her calm yet emotionless eyes locked onto the goofy, voluptuous dragon woman approaching her.

"Yimin has come! Where is Master at!?" Yimin's chirpy voice echoed as she looked all around, her tail wagging. Though, when she saw no Master and smelled no Master, her excitement instantly died down.

Although a malicious aura pressed down on her, Hellion calmly said, "No need to get upset. Your Master may not be here, but I know how to find him, which I stated in the letter I sent by pigeon. Did you not get the letter?"

"The letter?" Yimin's menacing expression turned adorably confused as she placed her right index finger against her chin. "Oh—" her irises suddenly flashed in realization, "—you mean the tweetie snack?? Yimin gobbled it up! It was so yummy!"

"...Then how did you know to come here…?"

Yimin proudly slanted her nose on an incline. "Yimin smelt Master's scent in Yimin's poo's and followed it here! Wait… Where is the Master!?"

Like a mix of a forgetful turtle and a territorial lion, she returned to baring her fangs and claws, with her shiny silver hair standing on end.

Speechless.

That was what the millennia-old Sphinx was feeling at the moment. She had never… not in her thousands of years of life, met anyone so odd. Though, considering Yimin's identity as a species that shouldn't even exist in the Ascension Tower, it made a lot of sense that she was a… weirdo.

Shaking her head, Hellion waved forward; a chair similar to hers was summoned from thin air.

Yimin tilted her head. "Want Yimin to eat it—?"

"No, just sit," Hellion interrupted. "We have a lot to discuss. That is, assuming you still want to find a way back to your Master."

Yimin thought about it, then forgot why she was thinking about anything. She plopped down on the chair, her tail still wagging. "So where's Yimin's Master?? Is Master playing hide and seek!?"

She became excited again.@@novelbin@@

She really, really… really loved hide and seek.

'This girl is truly something else…' Hellion thought with twitching brows. 'I just wonder how she was able to track Master's scent here but not to where he actually is? Maybe this location was closer to her? No, that's just silly…—'

"Ooh, a colorful birdy!" Yimin bounced out of her seat and Naruto-sprinted toward a peacock that had just ascended the small mountain they were on. "Yimin was just chasing so many of these colorful birdies before pooing and going after Master! Now, there's more!"

She quickly grabbed the peacock before bringing it back to her chair. She then forced it to stay still in her lap, all while swinging her head left and right in a jovial way.

Silence.

Hellion looked at this unusual silver-haired specimen, seriously wondering if she had some severe brain damage.

After inhaling longer than normal, she exhaled. Her face returned to complete apathy as she said, "So how about we discuss how you're going to find your beloved Master?"

Hellion, the Hellish Sphinx, then went on to weave out a grand tale. She depicted Yimin as the protagonist that needed to venture into dangerous lands to save the damsel in distress, which just so happened to be her… Master.

As for where these dangerous lands were, it was obviously… Russia!

"The Rushans have taken Master!? Yimin won't allow it!"

OOM!

Her aura erupted outward, creating waves of immensely powerful energy. Her presence became increasingly stronger, until eventually reaching close to the Mage Lord's approximate power level.

Hellion faintly smiled. 'This will work,' she thought before saying, "If you wish to save your Master before he gets eaten by the… Rushans, then you'll need to head out now. Hurry, we must not waste any time."

Yimin furiously nodded. "Yimin will save Master from the Rushans!! Thanks, funny-looking lady I don't know!!"

FWIP!

Yimin took off into the skies like a silver rocket, leaving the dumbfounded Hellish Sphinx to her own devices.

"...We live in the same house, you know…? We even serve the same Master…"

Hellion sighed, then vanished as well.

— Meanwhile, on the other side of the globe —

Cassius, after meeting up with every woman in his household, decided to contact a peculiar girl who went to the same school as him. His time since returning to this world had led to many surprises, one of which was the announced kidnapping of Grace.

'Can it really be called a kidnapping, though…? Hard to tell…'

His thoughts swirled around inside his head as he waited by the only train station in Hoshito. The reason he was waiting for showed up not even two seconds later, wearing a flowy white sundress.

Flora walked over with slow, elegant strides. A lovely smile was plastered across her face, which would give one the illusion that she was some cheerful girl. But Cassius knew better. He became abundantly aware of what sort of person she was shortly after she approached him and dropped the bombshell that was Grace's situation. He understood very well that everything he was seeing right now was merely a facade.

But what puzzled him was what exactly her aim was.

He knew not if she was actually Grace's sister or if they were even related; after all, Grace never told him her last name.

To be honest, his first assumption was that Flora was a Gremlin Extraterrestrial Fiend, but that idea was discarded as soon as he activated his S-Rank Extraterrestrial Sight Skill.

So, then… What was the truth…?
