Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 234 Training with the boss monster! (2)

"HAAAH!" Lucas made it step back with all the strength he could muster and started running to the side, his perceptive eyes activated and without stopping, he went outside the circle.

When he looked back, Lucas saw that the skeleton was just inches away from him, all the time he was running back, the skeleton had followed him closely and one mistake would have made Lucas gravely injured this time.

The skeleton went upright while looking at Lucas, its sword now stationed motionlessly. It looked at Lucas for a few moments when it took a turn and went back to the chest.

Lucas looked at its moves with anger yet there was also some respect in him toward the skeleton.

"Lucas! Are you okay!?" Sarah came running yet Lucas was dazed in his own thoughts.

"To have the strength to overpower the enemy completely… to make it succumb to fear without doing anything. Such raw power…" Flames filled Lucas's eyes and this time, it was not the darkness, Sarah didn't know when was the last time she saw Lucas this determined.

Maybe it was the carnivorous plant they killed together or something along the lines at the start but it was lost when Lucas became strong enough.

'He was so disappointed with the Kobolds leader fight" Sarah thought and with a sigh of relief continued, 'Maybe this is what he wanted all along?'

"Sarah"

"Yes?"

"With how I am right now, I can't defeat this thing, this is why I am going to train."

"And you want to know if I am okay waiting?"

Lucas looked at the girl with awe which made her giggle. Discover hidden content at My Virtual Library Empire

"It's okay, I was enjoying looking at the fight anyway. You fight, I will sit here."

"Thank you."

Sarah was going to ask him about the wound on his shoulder, there was no healer and potion related to healing yet she got to know that there was no need to be worried.

Steam started coming out of the wound while Lucas was mumbling something while looking at the skeleton with intent.

Sarah was marveled by the fact that his wound was already closed and now it had healed completely in such a short time.

'It seems impossible like always, but if it's Lucas, I can believe it.'

From that point on, Lucas went to fight with the skeleton again and again, with more injury than the previous one.

Sarah saw him near death countless times yet Lucas's instincts were good, to begin with.

His perceptive eyes helped a lot but Sarah didn't see him activate it a lot.

BANG!

THUD!

Lucas went flying to one of the trees and thrashed on it with force.

Sarah was going to go toward him yet Lucas just got up and started running toward the skeleton again.

She had not seen Lucas this serious before. Something was driving him to move forward yet it was not the darkness inside him, it was completely different this time.

Lucas's eyes moved with speed as he assessed the situation in front of him. The skeleton's strikes were good yet they were as if programmed.

It did the same thing again and again so Lucas was able to adapt yet with time, the sequence changed and then Lucas had to do it all over again.

At this point, Lucas's goal was not to defeat the monster but to learn from it. He was fighting it without using anything but his swords.

Lucas had not noticed that his sword had chipped from various side of the blades.

It was not a sword that was supposed to be used from only one side so Lucas had used all four combined sides of the sword all this time making them damaged with each strike.

He was now able to connect the strikes with his speed and strength. Yet they were still not enough.

One way or another, Lucas was struck down, forced to step back, or trashed completely.

[Skill 'beginner swordsmanship' level up!]

Lucas couldn't focus on the message due to the situation he was in yet he knew that it was some skill that had upgraded. He hoped for perceptive eyes but anything was better than nothing.

It had been some time since a level up. Leveling after the 5th level was tough as the proficiency increased slowly.

Each point of proficiency took the same time as it took to get 15 point of proficiencies at level one.

It was a disaster.

SHWING!

Lucas swiped again at the skeleton's rib yet it didn't get damaged at all.

He was going to attack again and he did, yet something was off.

He looked at his sword that was quivering and his hands that were filled with blisetrs.

The adrenaline had blinded him into thinking that he was a skeleton like his enemy too.

Lucas was also taking huge breaths. So he ran back outside the circle and fell to the ground.

"HUff… Huff… Did I just lose in stamina battle with the bastard?… Huff… HUff…"

"Yeah, you did but there is a reason." Sarah asked while looking at the miserable state of Lucas who was huffing in exhaustion while his body was filled with sweat and dried blood.

"What is the reason?" Lucas asked with wide eyes, the eyes that would make the other fear yet Sarah was different. She knew he didn't mean bad, it was just that he was too focused on improving right now.

"It's simple. You have been fighting for hours now!"

"Hm? How much time has gone by?"

"More than 3 hours since you entered the circle again, you have been fighting continuously without any break for more than three hours Lucas. It is bound to make you exhausted even with your ridiculously high stamina and title."

Lucas sat on the ground huffing in exhaustion, she was right. He was confident in his stamina and ability to just toughen it out yet he had gone to the extreme this time.

"Haaahhh… wish I was a skeleton too, unlimited stami-"

THWACK!@@novelbin@@

Lucas looked up after getting hit in the center of the head by Sarah.

"What was that for?!"

"You know it, bastard!"
