Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!

Chapter 153 Right This Way, Traveler Thurston (2)

"I guess this is where things get tricky; again, you're 100% sure that my information won't show up as listed." Feeling nervous as the landing zone drew close enough that he could spot a plush rubber mat, Aoni asked for his Attribute Notice one last time.

Indeed, all will be shown as it was listed on the M-Stat Command

"Yeah, but what about the testing? I don't know how to limit myself; how am I supposed to fake exerting my body to its full potential?"

The standards used to judge Statistics Numerically aren't absolute, as the User has seen when facing certain creatures; just because they have a Strength Registered as 1-Star doesn't mean they are unable to exert a power beyond that

It's the same with adding a numerical value to Ranked Stats; regardless of the outcome, there is room for error, a spectrum of sorts

There is no need to hold back because the User's True stats also fall within acceptable perimeters for the modified ones, albeit on the higher end of the spectrum

"Gotcha," nodding his head as the faint hum of the Flume entered his ears, indicating he was about to exit, Aoni mentally prepared himself; while he may have spent 34 days on Genovia, only a little over 11 days had passed on Terra.

'I wonder if anyone from my family is waiting for me…' He thought while taking a deep breath, as his face lost all expression, and he allowed his shaggy hair to cover his face.

It was his typical way of blending in: look unkempt, seem average, and don't show emotion. It was the polar opposite of how he acted around his summons.

Unlike the rest of the people he knew from Terra, Glacia, and Nyria had seen a side of him that he reserved specifically for his family.

To the outside world, he was a gloomy guy who blended into the background.

Act like an NPC, and you will be treated like one.

HhhhhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuMMMMMMMMMMMM

Tap tap

With practiced expertise and having expected the sudden return of gravity acting on his body the instant the Flume spat Aoni out, he stepped forward and landed rather gracefully as if he'd done this a thousand times in the past.

"HALT! Don't move Traveler, standby for credential scanning." The gruff voice of a man in some type of military uniform stated authoritatively, causing Aoni to flinch before following the order.

It was standard procedure, and although he'd heard about this happening, right before he touched down, the Lad had spotted a heavy military presence surrounding the Flume, indicating either something bad had happened or the government was being overly cautious.

That was when Aoni remembered that Young Master with the Emerald Flume, and it all seemed to click into place.

'Tsk, they really pulled out all the stops; I bet that guy's parents are higher-ups in one of the combat branches or something.'

What Aoni didn't know was that the moment he stepped out of the Flume, multiple silent alarms had been set off due to a peculiar action over which he had zero control.

"Shit who is this kid? How can anyone seem so wild? It's as if hes some type of monster?" One of the over 15 soldiers muttered under his breath as he felt the hair on the back of his neck standing at attention.

"Name and Rank?" The Gruff voiced soldier asked while using a Tablet to scan Aoni from top to bottom.

"Aoni Thurston, E minus." Standing perfectly still, Aoni's voice came out monotone and flat as his eyes rapidly flicked around the room, taking stock of all the weapons targeting him currently.

Hearing confirmation of what he was seeing on the tablet, the soldier looked over his shoulder and nodded, indicating everything had checked out before stepping forward and standing around a foot away from Aoni.

"Hand over your backpack and any weapons currently on you, and kid, I need you to relax your bloodlust; it's leaking to the point it set off all our alarms." The Gruff voiced soldier said while keeping one hand on his holstered pistol and the other extended out to receive Aoni's backpack.

"I don't mean to sound rude, sir, but what do you mean bloodlust…" doing as he was told and shrugging off his backpack, Aoni handed it over and accidentally made eye contact with the man, causing the battle-hardened soldier to take a step back and subconsciously draw his holstered weapon.

CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK

In response to their superior drawing his gun, the other soldiers racked a round into the chambers of their rifles, then aimed at Aoni, causing him to narrow his eyes in confusion while calmly dropping his pack on the ground and putting both hands in the air.

"HOLD YOUR FIRE!" Before anything could get out of hand, a familiar voice entered Aoni's ears, followed by a few unhappy grunts of disapproval.

"He is still my student, and I won't have anyone being put on the firing squad on my campus," before anyone could react, the Principal appeared directly between Aoni and the gruff soldier while taking a defensive posture.

"It's clear to me that you lot have seen one too many battlefields and are forgetting that Traveler Thurston is a newly Awakened who clearly went through a hard-fought experience his first time in Genovia; now holster your weapons or so help me, I will take care of all of you on my own!"

FOOOOOWWWMMMM

At his word, a powerful Aura exploded out of the Principal, affecting everyone except Aoni and making all the soldiers hesitate.

"Traveler Thurston, look at me; I need you to understand what is happening. Currently, you are radiating your Aura unconsciously, and in the eyes of these fools, you are preparing to attack; take a few deep breaths and imagine the feeling you get when lying down in bed right before falling asleep."

Being the educator he was and understanding the situation perfectly, the Principal gave Aoni a crash course on how to restrain himself while at the same time being a bastion of protection for the Lad. Experience exclusive tales on My Virtual Library Empire
