Primordial Draconic Incubus With A Gourmet Chef System

Chapter 231 Transfer

Yet, with the way Lucian was now, that was an impossibility.

Therefore, having someone Lucian could spend time with would erase the boredom.

The System, of course, did not count. It was more of a headache inducer.

But, as much as he was happy that he could bring Lily to Chaos Haven World, he was just as worried. The System had never been… and would never be in the business of charity.

As much as he hated it, it was similar to himself… a cheapskate.

Cautiously, Lucian inquired, [What's the catch?]

[Host, there is no catch. The transmigration of a Soul requires Mana Stones, a physical vessel for the Soul to occupy upon transmigration, and for the Soul being transmigrating here to willingly accept the transfer.]

Lucian swallowed.

[Mana Stones? What kind of Mana Stones… and how much?]

The System answered, [Since the Soul in question is Lily — a Mana Vein Tempering Realm Mage — the price is 50 Mid-Grade Mana Stones.]

[You said there was no catch! Moreover, can you guarantee there won't be any complications after the transfer? What if the body rejects her Soul?]

[The Host does not need to worry. The body will be customized and attuned to house Lily's Soul.]

The System then suggested, [If the Host wishes, you can take out a loan.]

[I don't want to be even more in debt!] Lucian angrily spat before calming down, as all of a sudden, he realized a glaring fact he had overlooked. [Does the time spent in Chaos Haven World count towards the days I have left until my loan must be paid back?]

[The time spent in this world counts.] The System replied simply.@@novelbin@@

[Do you have another option?] Lucian asked as his lips curled into a shameless grin. [Come on, think harder. You're the Almighty Gourmet Chef System! I'm sure you have even more methods at your disposal. You-]

The System coughed, interrupting its shameless Host.

[The System can give you another option. I am willing to cut the fee by one hundred percent because I wish for a name. But doing so will result in Lily's Mana Veins being sealed.]

Lucian was speechless by the reason the System gave.

After a moment, Lucian asked, [You can do that?]

The System chose to remain silent.

On the other hand, Lucian sighed.

[As much as it would have been nice to watch Lily severely injure the entire Black Fire Bandits with nothing but her zither, having her by my side is more than enough. Even so, I'll leave it to her decision. Explain everything to her as thoroughly as possible. Don't leave a single detail out.]

The System sarcastically responded, [Yes. Yes, Mr. Overprotective Husband.]

With the System handling the transfer, Lucian closed his eyes, wanting to sleep, but was interrupted when he heard a knock. Find more chapters on My Virtual Library Empire

"Come in," Lucian shouted.

Following his words, the door knob twisted, and Pei Buhan walked in. Stepping onto the balcony, he bowed, "Master, just as you ordered, Bai Shishi and his sons have made contact with Nai Yulan. They have arranged a discreet meeting for today at midnight in an abandoned alley on the outskirts of Alabaster City."

Lucian raised an eyebrow.

"Why did Bai Shishi arrange a meeting when I asked him to get information for me?"

Pei Buhan remained silent for a few moments to carefully choose his words before responding, "According to Bai Shishi, he believes it would be better and safer for Master to enslave Nai Yulan."

Lucian frowned.

"How does he expect a Manaless person to do that? What Mage Rank does Nai Yulan have?"

Surprise flashed across Pei Buhan's face.

"Master doesn't have Mana?" He asked hesitantly.

Lucian nodded but then shook his head.

"That's right, I have no Mana. But that's because my Mana Veins are sealed. I'm not a cripple… but I might as well be until I can unseal them."

Pei Buhan nodded and did not question his Master any longer. Instead, he explained, "But it won't be an issue, Master. Bai Shishi and his sons can handle Nai Yulan as he is only at the Early-Tier Tendon Tempering Realm. After he has been subdued, Master can enslave him."

"Good. It seems those three are quite capable." Lucian was pleased. "Does Nai Yulan suspect anything?"

Pei Buhan shook his head with a confident expression.

"Not as far as Bai Shishi can tell. Bai Shishi told him that he has a Novice-Grade High-Quality Twin Fang Dagger and wants to trade it for his Novice-Grade High-Quality Amber Wind Sword. He seemed eager for the trade."

"Hmm." Lucian nodded and then tapped his fingers against the armrest of his lounge chair. With a thoughtful expression, he said, "Make sure Bai Shishi and his sons are prepared to subjugate Nai Yulan. Tell them of my condition as well, so they don't include me in their plan. Everything will be on their shoulders.

Pei Buhan bowed.

"Understood, Master. I will let them know of Master's condition and to properly prepare themselves for tomorrow night."

After Pei Buhan left, locking the door on his way out, Lucian closed his eyes.

Soon, his breathing became shallower, and his chest slowly rose and fell.

Lucian dreamt of a tall hill upon which Lily sat, staring down at a horde of bandits with nothing but a zither floating in front of her. Her lithe fingers danced over the strings, producing a deadly symphony that rippled through the air and reduced even the strongest bandits to trembling husks.

Meanwhile, back on Arcadia, behind James Orchard's mansion, the real Lily sat on a small grassy hill surrounded by colorful flowers. Her fingers danced across the strings of her zither. The melody was sweet and melodic; a far cry from the deadly upbeat music in Lucian's dream.

*Ting~*

*Ting~*

The delicate notes resounded through the back garden.

It was as though Heaven had descended down to the Mortal Plane in the back garden.

Four distinctly different Magical Beasts swayed their bodies and appendages to the rhythm of the music.
