Primordial Draconic Incubus With A Gourmet Chef System

Chapter 234 Another Type Of Vessel

Bai Shishi and the others were still under the effect of his blood. Thus, Lucian did not mind sharing information with them. Of course, he kept sensitive topics, such as the System and him being from a different world, a secret from them. After all, their complete loyalty to him would be meaningless if they were captured by a Mana Soul Realm Mage or above, as they had the ability to scour a person's Soul.

After Lucian finished retelling what he had been up to for the past hour, a thoughtful expression appeared on Bai Shishi's face. "Hmmm. So Master needs a body for Mistress Lily. But the vessels aren't up to Master's standards."

Lucian nodded.

"That's the gist of it."

A similar thoughtful expression could be seen on Pei Buhan's face. It was unknown what he was thinking about, but after frowning, he sighed, and voiced out, "Master, if I may suggest, have you thought about using other types of vessels?"@@novelbin@@

Frowning, Lucian turned to him.

"What do you mean by other types of vessels? My Lily is a Pixie. Why would I use other types of vessels?"

Pei Buhan explained, "Master, I'm speaking about Magical Beasts. In particular, the Ever-Changing Phantom Slime."

Lucian was not opposed to using Magical Beasts as a vessel for Lily. But, even so, he still had to ask, "I've never heard of the Ever-Changing Phantom Slime. From its name, it's obvious it can change its physical form. But will Lily be able to utilize it Skill?"

Pei Buhan nodded.

"Master, the Ever-Changing Phantom Slime's, Thousand Faces Skill doesn't require Mana. It's the perfect vessel for Mistress Lily."

Lucian stroked his chin for a moment, seemingly in deep thought, before nodding.

"In that case, go capture an Ever-Changing Phantom Slime. Make sure there isn't even a scratch on its surface. I don't want my Lily to suffer even the slightest pain, or your heads will roll."

Bai Shishi respectfully bowed.

"Rest assured, Master. I'll personally see to it that the Ever-Changing Phantom Slime is captured without any damage inflicted on it." He then turned to Pei Buhan, "I only need someone to take me to the Spirit Waterfall. If Master does not require Pei Buhan's presence here, I would like him to take me there."

Lucian shrugged.

"Let alone Pei Buhan, you can even take your two sons with you." He continued. "Actually, take your sons with you. The faster you capture the slime, the better."

Bai Shishi bowed. Discover stories at My Virtual Library Empire

"As you wish, Master."

After the other three bowed, they left the suite.

As the door locked, the System could not help but say, [Your standards are as high as ever… it's fitting for the future Transcendent Chef. Unfortunately, your high standards are used elsewhere.]

Lucian grinned.

[Nothing less than the best for my Lily.]

He then returned to the balcony, and then he closed his eyes, letting the image of Lily's radiant smile lull him to sleep.

'There he goes again.' While thinking, the System materialized on the railing in a robotic pigeon form. 'All he does is sleep. How can a person sleep as much as him?'

Rolling its eyes, it flapped its wings and flew over to its Host's undulating chest. After tucking its wings in, it let out a low, mechanical chirp, almost like that of a cat's purr.

Soon, it too closed its eyes and fell asleep.

Bai Shishi had been active in this part of the region for many decades. He knew the ins and outs like it was his own backyard. So much so that with his directions and connections, Pei Buhan and the others managed to leave the city without having to pay even a Bronze Coin.

Pei Buhan was impressed. With the reign gripped firmly in his hands, he steered the horse along a dirt path, following Bai Shishi's directions.

Once they left the eyes of the guards, he could no longer suppress his astonishment, "I can't believe a bandit boss has so much influence that even those guards were respectful. You're amazing." He said, shaking his head in disbelief. He then gave Bai Shishi a look of admiration and a brief thumbs-up. "When we entered the city earlier, those bastards took four Low-Grade Mana Stones from Lucius!"

Luke's lips curled into a smug grin as if he was the one praised. Lifting his chin arrogantly, he spoke, "You haven't seen anything if you're that easily pleased!"

Even Lucius muttered arrogantly, "Father is the best!"

"You brats calm down." Slightly embarrassed, Bai Shishi smacked his sons on the back of their heads. "We have a mission to accomplish. Focus on that."

Following that, the journey was as smooth as the dirt road the carriage was pulled on.

Eventually, after an hour and thirty minutes or so of travel, the sound of trickling water came into their ears.

Bai Shishi opened his eyes and instructed, "We're almost there. Take the right road and enter the forest."

After steering the horse onto the right path, Pei Buhan's brows furrowed as he saw no path leading into the forest. Instead, all he could see were dense trees packed tightly together.

"There's nothing but trees. How are we supposed to get through this?" Pei Buhan questioned him with a furrow of his brows. "Are you sure this is the right way?"

Bai Shishi remained silent. Instead of speaking, it would be more effective to show him. With that in mind, he summoned a Copper Coin from his Spatial Ring and threw it at one of the trees.

The coin spun as it flew through the air until it struck the tree.

But, to Pei Buhan, Lucius, and Luke's astonishment, the moment the coin made contact with the tree, it did not bounce back and fall to the ground. Instead, the coin continued its trajectory, flying through the tree.

Luke rubbed his eyes in disbelief as he turned to his brother and questioned him, "Did you see that!? It went right through!"
