Chapter 29: Phantom Cresent Blade(Legendary grade)!
Lucian watched as his hands itched to get the weapon. But Lucian wasn't one to give in to impulses. The weapon was the perfect match for his spear. He only had the Nine Revolving Dragon spear in his arsenal.
This immediately made Lucian's eyes light up. "I haven't rerolled my technique yet!"
He couldn't even imagine how he had never thought to do this all this time.
The audience continued to bid.
A stern-faced woman in military attire raised her paddle. "470,000!"
"500,000," came a calm voice from one of the upper-level booths. The voice belonged to a middle-aged man with a distinguished silver streak in his otherwise black hair.
"550,000," countered the military woman, her jaw set with determination.
The bidding continued to escalate rapidly. At 600,000 relic coins, most bidders had withdrawn, leaving only the military woman and the representative from the Royal Guardian Guild.
"650,000," called the man from the booth, his voice still unnervingly calm.
The military woman hesitated, her knuckles white as she gripped her paddle. After a moment of intense internal struggle, she lowered her paddle and shook her head.
"650,000 relic coins going once... twice..." Fendrel paused, his eyes scanning the room for any last-minute bidders. "Sold to Commander Elrick of the Royal Guardian Guild!"
Polite applause filled the hall as the scroll case was carefully transported to the commander's booth.
Fendrel returned to the center of the platform, his golden hair catching the light as he bowed deeply to the audience.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this concludes our special auction today. I would like to thank each of you for your participation and generous bidding. Those who have successfully acquired items may proceed to the settlement hall to complete your transactions."
As the crowd began to disperse, Lucian remained seated. The meditation technique would significantly enhance his capabilities, especially with his affinity for using beast blood.
He didn't have the 200,000 relic coins but he knew how he would get it.
With gritted teeth, a two curved blades materialized in his hands. "Reroll Twin curved Blade."
Suddenly the twin blades lit up with a glow and a line of text appeared before Lucian's line of sight.
[Rerolling Twin curved blade(rare)]
The gigantic die appeared before him once more as it spun in high velocity.

The blades transformed in his hand, their once plain silver surface now glowed with an ethereal bluish-white glow.
Delicate runes in an ancient language scrolled along its length, seemingly alive as they shifted and changed with the ambient light.
The hilts reshaped themselves with an elegant curve that fit his hand perfectly, adorned with a sapphire that seemed to contain the very essence of moonlight.
The blade's edge thinned to an impossible sharpness that suggested it could cut through reality itself.
"What sort of weapon is this?!"
Lucian immediately wanted to switch to the blades and stop using the spear. But he immediately stopped himself. He was already pretty used to the spear, it might take a long while for him to get used to the blades.
Sighing, he placed the blades back into his interstellar space and stood up, adjusting his hood to ensure his face remained hidden, and made his way toward the settlement hall.
The weapon would make a hundred times more than 200,000 relic coins but would he dare release it? Who knows how many people would immediately try to kill him and snatch everything he owns.
The only thing he could do now was release the silver treasure chest he had gotten from killing the Elite Lizardmen as payment for the scroll.
Walking through the settlement hall, Lucian kept his head down, the hood casting deep shadows across his face.
The Heaven's Cloak technique continued to work perfectly, causing the eyes of other bidders to slide past him without recognition. Only Fendrel, who had acknowledged his bids, seemed able to track him with any consistency and the guards too.
The hall buzzed with activity as successful bidders finalized their transactions.
When his turn came, a stern-faced woman with silver-streaked hair gestured to a private alcove.
"This way, sir," she said professionally. "For transactions exceeding 100,000 relic coins, we provide additional privacy and security."
Lucian nodded silently and followed her to a small room furnished with a polished ebony table and two comfortable chairs.
Runes of silence and protection glowed faintly along the walls, ensuring their conversation remained confidential which surprised Lucian a bit but since they were popular, it wasn't all that weird.
"Congratulations on acquiring the Primal Wildblood Resonance technique," the woman said, placing a document before him. "The final amount due is 200,000 relic coins. How will you be settling your account today?"
Lucian's fingers twitched slightly as he reached into his interstellar storage space. The familiar sensation of dimensional shifting rippled across his skin as a silver treasure chest appeared on his palm.
The chest gleamed under the room's magical lights, its surface etched with intricate scales and crowned with a jade seal.
The woman's eyes widened slightly, her professional demeanor cracking slightly before she managed to recover.
"This is..." she began, reaching for a crystal monocle from her pocket and examining the chest carefully.
"A silver treasure chest," Lucian said quietly.
The woman adjusted her monocle, and symbols began to flow across its surface as it analyzed the chest's authenticity and value.
"Indeed," she murmured after a moment. "Our appraisal indicates a value of approximately 230,000 relic coins, depending on the contents." She glanced up at him. "Would you prefer to open it yourself, or shall we process it as a sealed item?"
What do you think?
