Chapter 58 Outer Demon Sword
It took a long time for Chu Wuyao to recover, and while shocked by the power of the Book of Calamity, she was also very yearning for its power.
She felt that if she possessed such power, it would be no problem to control her own destiny.
At that point, let alone a mere Li Ruoshi, even the Sect Leader of the Original Desire Sect would probably not dare to be disrespectful in front of her.
While daydreaming, Chu Wuyao flipped to the next page of the book with some anticipation in her eyes.
It was the first time for Chu Wuyao to come into contact with such high-level information and she felt that it was very conductive to her understanding of this world.
Due to her short time of cultivation, she lacked some basic knowledge compared to those disciples that had been cultivating for years, which might harm her in the long run.
Now, this was an opportunity to enrich her knowledge.
After all, Chu Wuyao was not willing to run around like a headless chicken like those protagonists in cultivation novels.
Rather, she preferred to amass knowledge and information, then use that knowledge to better prepare for the future.
As her fingers moved, Chu Wuyao's eyes landed on the second page of the book.
"Omniscient Compass: Counting the Stars."
"The Omniscient Compass has the ability to deduce information and predict the future."
"Compared to the other Magic Weapons on the list, although the Omniscient Compass doesn't have many amazing achievements, its power is still evident."
"Years ago, the Sect Leader of the Secret Sect was able to predict the descent of another world, allowing the major sects to be well-prepared, which ended up giving them the victory."
"The Omniscient Compass is currently owned by the Secret Sect."
For some reason, as Chu Wuyao read about the Omniscient Compass, an inexplicable feeling of disgust arose inside of her, as if the Omniscient Compass was something extremely filthy and disgusting.
Suppressing this strange feeling, thinking that it was caused by her Devil bloodline, she continued flipping through the book.
After the Omniscient Compass, the book went on to list many other powerful Magic Weapons, which to the surprise of absolutely nobody, were all owned by the major sects.
Supreme Sword, Human Emperor's Flag, Spear of the Ice God, etc..
Chu Wuyao even saw the Magic Weapon of the Original Desire Sect, the so-called Original Desire Cauldron.
Its achievements were equally impressive as the other Magic Weapons on the list, having caused the destruction of at least a hundred sects over the past few thousand years.
The more Chu Wuyao read about these Magic Weapons, the more she understood that even with her Devil bloodline, she couldn't become presumptuous and underestimate this world's cultivators.
According to her guess, the leaders of each major force were cultivators that surpassed the Supernatural Realm, while all these Magic Weapons might actually surpass the realm above the Supernatural Realm.
Even if her guess wasn't 100% true, Chu Wuyao felt that it wouldn't be too far off.
While she was in deep thought, digesting all the information she obtained, Chu Wuyao had unknowingly reached the tenth and last page of the book.
To Chu Wuyao's surprise, this Magic Weapon was not actually owned by a major sect, or to be more accurate, it was not owned by anyone.
"Outer Demon Sword: The Sword of Killing."
"This sword used to be the Magic Weapon of a visitor from outside this world."
"Although the major sects joined forces and managed to kill that extraterrestrial visitor, the Outer Demon Sword managed to escape relatively intact."
"Since then, perhaps because it seeks for revenge, this sword has slaughtered countless cultivators and hundreds of cultivator forces."
"In the past, the High Priest of the Blood God Temple tried to subdue it and make it recognize them as its owner, only to end up dead."
"The Outer Demon Sword is currently not owned by anyone."
Chu Wuyao didn't know if it was intentional, but when the author of the book wrote about the death of the High Priest, their tone was a little casual and joking, as if they were very happy with the High Priest's death.
Not thinking about this any further, Chu Wuyao pushed the book aside and closed her eyes, trying to calm herself down.
With her character, it was unavoidable that when she saw the Outer Demon Sword, she became quite excited.
In fact, she felt that this sword was simply destined for her!
But then, after she thought about it, she knew that if she were to actually meet that sword, she would end up dead, just like the High Priest of the Blood God Temple, just like the countless cultivators it has already killed.
Regardless, she still noted the existence of the Outer Demon Sword down, ready to act decisively if the opportunity to make it recognize her as its owner ever came.
Getting up from her seat, Chu Wuyao threw the two books aside and was ready to leave the Original Library, not willing to waste any more time.
Looking around, it was only now that she realized that while she was busy reading, many outer disciples had actually come to the library, with many of them finding a chair, taking their seat and reading carefully.
In particular, a tall, more than two meters in height, burly man was sitting next to the exit, holding a book in his hand with a serious expression, completely immersed in it.
"Sure enough, appearances can be quite deceiving.", Chu Wuyao nodded her head in appreciation.
Stepping closer, she was about to pat him on the shoulder and say a few words of encouragement, only for her gaze to land on the book that he was holding in his giant palm.
Just by looking at the pink cover, Chu Wuyao felt that this book was somewhat familiar.
With curiosity, she raised her eyes and looked at its title.
"The Story of My Domineering Master and I...", she murmured in a low voice, reading the title out loud.
Her eyes became strange, but she soon recovered, looking at the burly man with admiration.
Her hand unconsciously stretched out and she patted him on the shoulder lightly.
"Little brother, I didn't expect that there would be people with such an exquisite taste like you in our sect."
"I admire you, I really admire you...", she spoke and before the burly man could reply, she had already ran away.
What do you think?
