Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 611: 610: Is This How I Die?

The appearance of the hands was so fast to the point that Corey could not react to it despite his attention being entirely on the strange entity. It was almost like the hands had always been there and what he had done was to run into the hands.

As the hands were centimeters from touching him, Corey's eyes widened as he saw all of this happening in slow motion but his body could still not react. However, his Cosmic Soul and his Stars of Consciousness were much faster in reacting.

THRUM!!!

Corey's Phantom Plague Axe Intent thrummed around his entire body, and the moment the pale white hands were a centimeter from touching Corey, the hands were cut into pieces.

Two seconds later, Corey came to a stop and he instantly jumped to the side, and ran away without hesitation.

He did not even bother trying to attack the strange entity or kill it because behind the strange entity was a sea of pale white arms and hands. The number of arms and hands was so vast to the point that it blotted out the sky and Corey knew that there was no way he could fight such a being.

Not only did he not have any knowledge on the strange entity, fighting in a Tribulation of Hell was not safe. Anything and anybody could have extremely strange and powerful abilities. Also, his instincts were warning him that battling the strange entity was extremely dangerous especially without his Eyes of Omniscience which allowed him to be able to see so many hidden and unseen things.

As Corey ran from building to building while using Lightning Step, the pale white hands clenched and became fists. Corey saw this, and his expression changed slightly.

He turned to his left, and then his violet-blue eyes reflected the image of a carriage in the distance. His Eyes of Dreams and Nightmares transformed into his Tri-Pupil Eyes, and then the two golden triangles in his eyes glowed and rotated.

'Normal teleportation does not work in this place, but I can swap positions with my Tri-Pupil Eyes.'

All of this happened in less than two seconds, and the moment his Tri-Pupil Eyes glowed, he vanished and the carriage appeared in his place.

BANG!

The moment he swapped positions with the carriage, tens of pale white hands slammed into the carriage and destroyed it to the point that it turned to dust.

Corey watched all of this as he stood in the position of the carriage before he swapped position with it. A frown could be seen on his face as he gazed at the pale white hands slowly getting themselves up and readying another attack towards him.

'The building was not damaged from such a powerful attack?'

Corey was surprised and enlightened by this observation. He had been wondering what gave the people of the nameless town the confidence to remain in their homes and buildings when a being that was comparable to a Half-Step Tier 6 was engaged in battle.

Although he wasn't sure, his senses told him that the entity was comparable to a peak Tier 5 but was at the same time, stronger than a peak Tier 5. It was extremely close to a Tier 6 but it was not a Tier 6 at the same time. Enjoy exclusive chapters from My Virtual Library Empire

'That thing is comparable to a half-step Tier 6, but the building was not destroyed from its attack? What is that building made of? Or is there another reason why it was able to remain intact? Like a power that prevents the buildings from getting destroyed?'

Just as Corey had this thought, his eyes went to the roads, and he also realized that the roads were not damaged.

'What a strange town.'

Corey shook his head, and then he quickly jumped to the back.

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

Hundreds of hands slammed into Corey's previous position, and without taking a single break, they followed Corey as soon as they realized that he dodged their attacks.

Corey kicked the floor multiple times as he dodged the attacks of the pale white hands with a calm and focused expression.

'If I had Super Jump, I would have been able to jump much farther than this.'

Corey kicked once more, and then he performed a backflip to make a deft turn to the right. Just as his legs were about to touch the ground, he saw a pale white hand appear from the ground, at the exact spot he was about to land.

Corey's expression changed because he never expected such a move from the strange entity. The distance between his feet and the pale white hand was less than an inch.

THRUM!

His Phantom Plague Axe Intent thrummed loudly as it instantly appeared around his body. His intent collided with the pale white hand, but unlike the last time and what he expected, the pale white hand was not shredded to pieces.

'What?! It adapted to my intent?! Even after I used it only once?!'

Corey's eyes widened in disbelief when he saw that the pale white hand was only pushed back slightly along with some deep cuts.

Although Corey was shocked and stunned by this, if there was one thing Corey could contend immortals and gods with, is his ability to multitask.

Just as his feet was about to touch the pale white hand, his Stars of Consciousness were a step ahead, and they created a hexagon barrier beneath his feet. He landed on the hexagon barrier, and in less than a second, he jumped far away from the pale white hand.

Corey exhaled a sigh of relief as he stood on top of a hexagon barrier in the air. He was about to look at the strange entity, but his eyes widened in shock, horror, and disbelief when he saw a swarm of black locusts moving towards the town with malicious intent.

Corey's spine tingled in fear, and his head snapped to the town walls, but unfortunately, he was too far from the town gates.

'Even if I try to swap position with multiple objects, I won't be able to make it. The speed of the swarm of locusts is way too fast.'

'Is this how I die?'
