The CEO's Wife Is A Demon God's Daughter

Chapter 969 969: Christian's Warning

"Liam! He is now awake!" Zhen-Zhen couldn't contain her happiness as she stared at Liam, her blue eyes scanning him from head to toe.

"He is back!" Tristan also blurted out, grinning from ear to ear. They were both elated to see their friend.

"We are not your enemies. Can you let us pass through the barrier?" FaMo spoke to Scarlet.

Scarlet immediately turned to Liam. He was the one who could undo the barrier. Liam smiled and nodded in understanding. He waved his hand as he created a small opening where Zhen-Zhen and Tristan could pass through, together with FaMo, Miho, and Christian.

The three fire creatures rejoiced at this unexpected reunion. Meanwhile, Zhen-Zhen ran in Liam's direction. Upon reaching his spot, Zhen-Zhen embraced Liam, her tears welling up in the corners of her eyes.

"I'm so glad to see you. You are finally back. You scared us! I'm sorry, Liam. It was my fault that you got hurt." Zhen-Zhen's grip on his body tightened.

Liam could only smile as he rubbed her back, comforting her. "Hey, Don't blame yourself. I did it to protect you. It's my own decision."

Tristan also joined them, tapping Liam's shoulder. "I owe you, my friend. I am grateful for everything! And for that, I won't feel jealous today even if my wife is hugging you like this." Tristan cracked some jokes, lightening the mood.

Both Zhen-Zhen and Liam laughed at Tristan's last remarks.

"By the way, Liam, I'd like you to meet our son, Christian. She's Cassie's twin brother." Zhen-Zhen introduced Christian to Liam.

The other guardian warriors could only watch them in awe. They were amazed to finally meet the demon god's daughter. She looked so beautiful like an enchantress. Her beauty never faded in time. No wonder, their former guardian leader fell in love with her.

She didn't look scary at all. She had a captivating smile, emanating a friendly vibe. Shino and Liam were right. The demon god's daughter was not evil. She was like an angel! They continued to observe her with admiration in their eyes.

"By the way, why did you come here?" Liam asked them.

"We heard about the ongoing war here. We want to help you stop the war. Furthermore, we followed Cassie, Ella, and Flint to fetch them. We have to send them back to our world. I don't want them to get involved with the fight." Zhen-Zhen responded.

Liam and Flint fell silent at the mention of Cassie's name. This time Scarlet stepped forward, speaking to Tristan and Zhen-Zhen.

"Master Zhen-Zhen… I have failed you. As Cassie's fire dragon and her guardian, I should have protected her. But I failed. Please forgive me. You can punish me after finding her." Scarlet blamed herself.

"Huh?! What happened to my dearest daughter? Where is she?" Tristan panicked. He looked around, searching for Cassie. However, there was no sign of Cassie around them.

Christian had a bad feeling about this. "Don't tell me, my sister brought another trouble? She's known for being a troublemaker."

Zhen-Zhen just sighed helplessly. "Tell us, Scarlet."

"An enemy took over her body using a forbidden spell. The soul possession. It was too late when we noticed it. After discovering it, the enemy fled." Scarlet explained to them.

FaMo and Miho gasped in surprise when they heard that. They recalled Mheera who also used that forbidden spell. She took control of Tristan's body before.

"Do you think this might be a work of Mheera?" Zhen-Zhen consulted Liam. She started to worry about her daughter. This was another complicated situation they had to fix as soon as possible.

"I'm not sure. The aura inside Cassie's body is different from Mheera's aura. It is darker… and more evil." Liam shared his observation when he encountered Cassie.

"Wifey! We must find our daughter. I know how hard it is to be controlled by someone. I experienced it myself." Tristan clenched his fists, worrying about Cassie's safety.

"Master Zhen-Zhen, is there a way to track her? I lost my connection with her. Tell me what to do," Scarlet asked Zhen-Zhen, feeling desperate.

Zhen-Zhen contemplated for a moment, thinking about what she would do to find her daughter. After gathering her thoughts, she turned to Tristan and Christian.

"I'll search for Cassie while the two of you will stay here. Hubby, you must help the guardian warriors in protecting this fortress. I can feel an army of guardian warriors heading this way." Zhen-Zhen declared to them.

"They are on the move. Our location has been compromised," Liam said, frowning deeply.

"Mr. and Mrs. Davis, what are we going to do if Cassie joins the fight, siding with the enemy? She is being controlled right now." Flint spoke up, raising his concern about Cassie.

"Then… that's a good thing. If she's attacking this place together with the enemies, I don't need to look for her. All I need to do is capture her and stop her from hurting anyone," Zhen-Zhen replied.

"So this is our strategy. I will be the one dealing with my daughter while the rest of you will focus on defending this territory. My husband, Miho, and FaMo will assist you. Scarlet will come with me." Zhen-Zhen instructed them.

"Liam, no need to worry about my daughter. This time you must protect your fellow guardian warriors." Zhen-Zhen held Liam's shoulder.

"I understand." Liam gave her a reassuring smile. This time he would fulfill his duty to protect his comrades.

"Mrs. Davis… Can I join you? I feel responsible for what happened to Cassie. And I owe her. He protected me several times. This time I want to do something for her." Flint expressed his desire to save Cassie.

"I gain power because of her. Don't worry, I will not be a hindrance to you."

Christian and Tristan gazed at Flint sharply. Christian hated Flint because he kissed Cassie even though he rejected his sister's feelings. On the other hand, Tristan assumed that Flint was Cassie's suitor.

"Are you in love with my daughter?" Tristan confronted Flint directly, grabbing him by his collar. Tristan tried to intimidate Flint.

Flint was caught off guard by Tristan's direct question. He should have said no, but the pressure coming from Tristan and Christian's intense gaze made him speechless.

"Hubby. Let Flint go. Don't scare him away, okay?" Zhen-Zhen intervened.

But Christian butted in. "No, Dad. Flint is in love with someone else. Not my sister."

Flint glanced at Christian confusedly. 'How did he know that?'

When Tristan released Flint from his grasp, Christian approached him and whispered. "Stop giving my sister a false hope. If you don't have feelings for her, just stay away from her. I don't want to see her cry because of you. She deserves someone who will love her wholeheartedly, not a confused man!"

Christian's words hit Flint so hard. He couldn't explain why but he felt like he was such a jerk at that moment. He couldn't blame Christian because he had a point.

"I know…" Flint mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper. He acknowledged Christian's words. "But this time… I want to save her. After this, I won't bother her again."

Christian just scowled at him. "Good. I'm glad you understand my warning."
