Chapter 84 - 83: Jin’s Profession
Chapter 84: Chapter 83: Jin’s Profession
Street District – Upper Layer
Here lies an area neatly planned, with straight roads and various signposts indicating the direction to the “Temporary Accommodation Area”.
Every gentleman arriving in Zion is entitled to one year’s free residence (if enrolled in the Omphalo-Centric Academy, the free residence period will be extended for the duration of boarding schooling).
After one year, monthly rent must be paid,
The initial rent is very cheap, and if the residing gentleman completes a task each month, the rent will remain unchanged… If a task is not completed in a given month, the rent will increase by 30%, with no upper limit.
Due to the dormitory assault incident last time, Jin is currently living alone.
He pulled out a long key and inserted it into the lock.

The door to the room in the top corner was opened, and a strange smell immediately spilled out from inside,
The source of this odor was definitely not from a lack of regular cleaning but rather like someone had died in there, and not just a day or two ago.
“I’ve been outside recently, almost a week since I last returned~ The smell is a bit heavy, don’t mind it.”
“Hmm.”
Yi Chen laid a plant-based filter network in his nostrils the instant he detected the foul odor.
One room, one living room, one bathroom,
The ‘decorative style’ here might somewhat reflect Jin’s personality.
The walls of the living room, the top, and even the ground were all painted with pure white wall paint,
The mattress that should have been in the bedroom was thrown into a corner of the living room, with no sheets, quilts, or pillows. Aside from this mattress, there was nothing else in the living room.
The vague outline of a figure seeping through the top of the mattress suggested that this is where Jin usually slept.
“Jin, don’t you have accommodations at your training place?”
“Yeah, but the space there is quite limited, it’s all dormitories… I don’t like living with boring guys. Of course, you’re an exception.
Do you want to move out of your shabby school and live with me?”
Yi Chen quickly surveyed the poor environment before him, “I still have a lot to do in the academy, and there’s a tutor specifically responsible for physical training, so I won’t move out for the time being.”
“That’s a pity~ Come on, let me show you my crafting room.”
Following Jin’s lead, his gaze turned to the bedroom door, which was tightly locked… The foul smell was seeping out right along the door gap.
The wooden door had been replaced with a security-grade high metal door, and as Jin pulled out another key to open the door, a disquieting scene was revealed.
The bedroom, which should have been used for resting, had been transformed into a special extraction room.
The source of the stench was a large black cauldron that had been boiling for a full week, with its internal substance already turned into meat paste,
There was also a special mechanical device, resembling a combination of a meat grinder and a compressor, powered by electricity, seemingly able to process imitation meat into “Compressed Meat Cubes”.
There was also a larger workbench, equipped with scales and rulers, its purpose unknown.
“Has it been boiling for a week? The consistency should be about ready by now.”
Jin skillfully connected a withdrawal tube, extracted the meat paste for filtration and centrifugation, and then suspended the clear liquid for sampling, discarding the rest as waste.
She hurriedly produced a series of exquisite and special meat juice injectors, storing them inside her clothing and backpack.
“I suppose this is something only you can make use of?” Yi Chen asked.
“Yep, apart from some secret medicines, I’m not interested in the drugs available on the market… These homemade meat injection shots allow me to kill efficiently, thus earning more money, and then buy more meat to make more shots,” she replied.
“Does your profession have something to do with meat?”
When Yi Chen posed this question, Jin immediately closed the gap with an Instant Step, pinning him against the bedroom door.
“It seems you’re really interested~ Do you want to see my Professional Emblem?
I remember I once mentioned, it’s hidden in a rather deep place. If you’ll show me yours… I’ll show you mine, what do you think?”
Yi Chen did not outright refuse this time but instead pointed to the back of his head with his finger.
“My emblem is in here, Profession – [Student].”
“An emblem carved between the brain? Wow, I’d really like to open it up and take a look… My emblem is right here.”
Speaking,
Jin slightly lifted the colorful mask, revealing a rather pointed and fair chin, along with soft, light red lips.
As the lips parted,
a tongue longer than normal unfurled, curving… when the curled tongue fully extended, an emblem was branded at the concealed root of the tongue.
The emblem was actually a human body proportion diagram with such detail that every single muscle and blood vessel distribution could withstand scrutiny.
The tongue retracted,
the mask was put back on,
“You see… my profession is called ‘Human Body Weapons Master,’ which fits perfectly with my Pathological Traits. @@novelbin@@
It seems that I’m the only one in the organization with this profession currently. The tutor said that there might have been one decades ago, but he was executed by the organization for committing a serious crime.”
“Human Body Weapons Master.”
Yi Chen silently repeated this special term, sensing the strong aggressiveness and danger from within the words.
“The last mission used up quite a bit of the needles and chunks of flesh… still couldn’t collect a ‘Patient’s physical body’ that satisfied me, never had the chance to make a long-term weapon I’m truly satisfied with, it’s really tough.
Right!
William, you were just moving around in the lower streets, were you planning to go to Gentleman Hall for a mission?
I happen to be free recently, how about we team up and pick some special missions?”
“Special missions?”
“Yes, those that obviously seem amiss, likely to lead to death… if we’re lucky, we may encounter some unexpected Pathological Phenomena early, it will be very interesting.”
Under normal rational circumstances, Yi Chen would choose to refuse.
But today, for some reason,
perhaps the thrill of a brand new weapon,
perhaps the ceaseless urging of the little grape within,
perhaps some inherent nature within Yi Chen was slowly emerging,
“Let’s first see if there are any suitable missions.”
“Wait for me a second, since I currently don’t have a suitable long-term weapon, I need to prepare as many makeshift weapons as possible.”
Speaking,
Jin began to process the faux meat he had just bought,
ten pieces per group, after sending them through a meat grinder and then compressing them, creating ‘Compressed Meat Cubes’ the size of sugar cubes, which he packed into specially made metal boxes.
When needed, simply pressing a button on the metal box would pop out a piece.
“Let’s go.”
Jin adjusted his colorful suit,
which was starkly different from the initial outfit he wore upon entering the city, randomly splattered with various paints.
The custom suit Mr. Ivan made for him employed a colorful pattern design; although it was equally extravagant and overall messy, it had a sort of implicit constrictive sensation.
Moreover, Jin’s suit seemed to have been ‘upgraded with additional materials’ many times, with a very high Skin Content.
Following Jin through the district’s streets, Yi Chen soon realized something was amiss with the direction they were taking.
“Aren’t we going to Gentleman Hall?”
“Why go there? Those nanny-level tasks for New Recruits are just not interesting at all.
Let me take you to a good place, where we occasionally offer some special missions, let’s try our luck.”
“Mhm.”
Yi Chen did not refuse. He was well aware of what ‘our place’ Jin was referring to.
He himself was very interested in the ‘unit’ Jin belonged to and was keen to see this secret area that specially cultivated the ‘Black Letter’ elect, the Executioner’s greenhouse.
What do you think?
