The thick door was barely ajar. We waited for a while, but no one came out from inside.
It didn’t seem like there was anyone in there, yet the door was open.
“Damn, what’s this…”
Breaking the brief silence, Ezra muttered an expletive. Ethan let out a dry chuckle and nudged him with his foot.
"Scared?"
"Are you teasing an old man? Shut up."
Ezra then muttered a string of harsh curses at Ethan, who turned to me and said:
"Miss Cherry, look. I’m the calm one here."
Just as I was about to say something to Ethan, Aurora said something odd.@@novelbin@@
"Huh? I hear singing. From inside."
At her words, we all listened carefully, but no sound could be heard.
The door was open just enough to see a pitch-black darkness inside, and nothing else was visible.
‘This feels familiar.’
In the past, Vanilla and Victor had experienced the same phenomenon, and so had Kellen. Hearing strange singing sounds in front of the spring water.
Theodore, protecting Aurora with his arm around her, turned to me and asked:
"Lady, is the spring water really inside here? Mr. Sinclair said it had been moved."
